I love that wild ones set, my family has always given dogs a color and when I got my pup I chose lilac and with how beautiful that set is I will for sure be getting it for her!
For anyone wondering, here are the prices of everything: Fenrir harness: $59.99 Fenrir puppy course: $147.00 Wild one purple walking set: originally $162, right now $132 Coco pup London leash and collar: 14 pounds aka $18.94 (can get 20% off with her code) Coco pup London walking bag: 35 pounds aka $48.31(can get 20% off with her code) Hope this helps someone!
The second D ring on the Wild One leash is to make it shorter! Take the hand clasp and connect it to the bottoms one for one big loop… I use mine around my waist to by unclipping hand loop wrapping around waste and re clipping! It says up okay and hands free! ♥️♥️
Omg that is the cutest thing ever, your proud mom moment. When you explain little cute moments like that it gets me excited for when I can have my own proud dog mom moments.. I love it !!
With the d ring by the handle you can also clip the leash to itself and the collar then you’ve got a short leash and a traffichandle! it’s what info when we’re in unfamiliar territory or near busy streets
I have to yellow (butter) wild one harness set and it was super cute but hasn’t held the color super well. Make sure you wash it as soon as it starts to get dirty. Also I found pretty much the exact same harness in the lavender color on Amazon for a third of the price from wisedog. It may just be made a little cheaper but nothing super noticeable.
heyyyy! im doing alright my parents have been fighting but we are getting a dog and we are going on holiday!! ^^ so nice to see a day in others lives, give freya a treato for me :D
My German shepherd chewed through a leash when he was 9 months. Like it was a new leash….. so from then on I’ve paid more attention to the leash sturdiness. (He ended up just needing chain ones) BUT Daisy can have cute ones.
I disconnect the hook from the D-ring in order to attach it to a belt look when I want to walk my dogs hands-free. However,I have a 6 lb. Pomeranian, so I don’t have to worry about her breaking the belt loop.
I really wanted to get that wild one set for my pup until I realized it was not machine washable. My dog is always dirty so it would never work but it’s still so cute.
How did you get Freya to calm down when she first started going out? My golden doodle is very good driven but when he is in a new environment he does not care about food rewards. I am guessing I just have to keep exposing him and he will calm down as it is more familiar. Any tips on how to train when they are nervous and excited and treats are not an interest?
repition for sure! but also try to bring out new treats and higher value rewards! figure out what he CANT deny and ignore!! is it ham? chicken? PB? there must be SOMETHING that would get his attention! It just has to be of higher value than the environment he's in! ❤️
I like the look of the wild one harness, we have the moonstone color and it is perfect for my pup. But he pulls in it because it lacks structure… so I don’t use it anymore. 😑
@Marissa Nicole Yes! They adore eachother but there's just so many things I forgot about having to deal with in the early puppy stages 😅 Plus being a winter pup socialization opportunites are limited
I had a pretty good day, did a bunch of chores in the house and spend the afternoon watching Max Verstappen win the Formula one championship (on TV of course) 🥳
girl you set off my alexa! for some reason i didn’t hear you say anything to your alexa so when mine started playing “all i want for christmas” i was very confused. had to rewind the video to see that it was you who set it off lol.
For anyone reading thinking about front-clip harnesses now: Can't recommend them if your dog isn't a huge reactive puller and the size of a great dane. Research has shown that yes, it makes pulling uncomfortable for dogs and is likely going to stop them from pulling on a regular basis, but it also makes walking in general uncomfortable for them and for us, especially the smaller your dog is, to the point where they adjust their walking posture to cope with the leash hanging so low in front of them and banging against one of their legs. And if they see a squirrel or walk towards a spot they love and usually pull towards, nothing's gonna change, they're just gonna deal with the weird tension. I'm also a huge sucker for gizmos and equipment that will help me fix my problems, but regarding leash-walking a back-clipping harness is just as good as a collar, and front-clips and gentle leaders are just "drastic" measurements one should take if they otherwise can't hold their dog back. Prongs and slip-leads also can help, but are hard to use right and usually end up being used incorrectly. A lot of dog trainers advocate for flat collars because it teaches the dog better not to pull (Fenrir, McCann, Upstate Canine, Beckman, ...), but we all know by the lab next door who's strangling himself on the end of the leash regularly that this is evidently not true at all or at least not a full fix. You can apply better corrections with collars, just like you can redirect a dog easier with a front-clip or a gentle leader, but outside of that you still need to apply leash-walking techniques to make dogs walk next to you properly. Just turn around everytime they're about to pass in front of you and walk a different direction, until they caught up so you can turn around again. Then again once they're right about to pass you, hard 180 and drag them into that direction, with whatever tool you have. Repeat for a few minutes and you won't have a puller anymore, then bulletproof over the next 1-2 weeks in different environments, and problem solved. No leash pops, just hard turns and drags if they don't adjust, which is why a back-clip harness is the most gentle thing to use for that technique.
Yeah, I tried a front clip harness at first with my pup and I realized how much he hated it. I want my dog to enjoy walks, and be able to pull a little to get to a good sniff spot lol. I switched to just using the back clip and working really hard on rewarding whenever he was close to me, and just stopping whenever he pulled, and it is SO much better. Obviously not as fast as using “tools” (aka just punishing your dog for doing wrong things), but real training takes time.
haha yes, Freya lives with my cat, Kitty! they get along great but we kept them separate until Freya was about 6 months old and would listen more if we needed her to leave her alone!
