What an amazing Aircraft! Am building the Roden 1/48 OV-1A version from 1967 Nam. Great help!

I have 1100 hours in the OV-1Ds. The seats are hot. Experimental because they were always upgrading the design. Oil is pressurized.

Very sad to read. What was the cause of his death?

Question 1: Are the ejection seats HOT?
Question 2: Why the "Experimental" designation?
Question 3: Is the oil system pressurized ?

Michael, the Mowhawk was built for the Army and was never certificated by the FAA. So it has to be operated in the Experimental category just like. A P-51 or any other military aircraft that was never produced in a civilian version.
