    Pro tip, always remove the check plug first to ensure it come out and is accessible to you with your tools on hand.
    Don't wanna drain the oil and not be able to fill it.

    Best practice is to collect all the fluid that comes out, so you know how much you replace. Especially if the transmission has no dipstick.

      No worries at all honestly no more then $240 for both and yes at 25k miles the trans flush forsure. I work for a dealership so my price is next to nothing I just buy the parts and do it but in some cases for people who don’t have the tools it cost a bit to get the tools you need but and that’s a huge BUT if you plan on saving some extra cash long run I’d advise get tools such as ratchets sockets funnels Jack stands and just be careful doing so accidents do happen it’s never an if it’s when but long story short no more then $240 maaaaybe $300 if you go to a dealership

    I have a 2019 4 cyl Honda accord ex question u kno the dealerships r gonna get u to change ur fluid more often to make money off u. My question is when mileage wise is the best time to change ur Trans and brake fluid? . I heard with trans fluid it was 60000 miles and brake fluid 40 to 50k.

    • @sheeshtv721
      @sheeshtv721  2 года назад

      Personally I’d change it myself since it’s really easy at 25k for the first trans flush after that I’d do it at every 30k just personally brake fluid I mean 40k sounds ideal just keep an eye on it pop the cap just make sure you don’t have debris inside if you do a lot of driving like most of us do just keep an eye on it if you need to it’s fine to top it off to the max line every blue moon but at the 40k to 50k mark in the area I’d go ahead and replace it all

    • @sheeshtv721
      @sheeshtv721  3 года назад

      For the transmission it’s 4.5 quarts when you do so just make sure you get the washer for the drain bolt it’s highly recommended to change that and the oil drain bolt washer was well and the oil will be 5qts the transmission first change should be around 22k-25k miles no more then that and just wipe off the metal shavings from the trans and that’s ATF fluid not CVT

    How to know that you are not over filling or under filling?
    There's a separate bolt on the 1.5 Turbo cvt transmission that you unscrew and then fill the fluid from the top. The last (4th bottle) you slowly fill or have someone fill from top while you observe the fluid laying under the car. You ask your helper once you start seeing fluid come out of that hole.
    This is the ONLY way guaranteed to do this cvt fluid drain and fill correctly.
    Stupid Honda engineers were too lazy to provide a cvt fluid level dip stick like older models had.
    Don't forget to put that level checking bolt back on when you are done.
