Boy singer Cormac Thompson sings Bright Eyes from Watership Down.
13-year-old Cormac Thompson has been singing since he was a young boy. Cormac’s debut album Hear My Voice was released by Decca when he was an 11-year-old treble and became a Classic FM Album of the Week. He has since been a finalist in the 2021 BBC Songs of Praise choirboy/girl competition Young Chorister of the Year, as well as appearing in Britain’s Got Talent 2022.
Cormac’s latest release, Bright Eyes, written by Mike Batt, was originally sung by Art Garfunkel (of Simon & Garfunkel fame) on the soundtrack to the 1978 Watership Down movie.

You know how to get the best out of your voice. This song has always been a favourite of mine, and has been particularly poignant since we chose it to accompany the photo tribute at the funeral of my twin brother.

Great job Cormac. I struggle to find to find the right words to convey how your voice makes me and other people feel. It's so pure. Wow. And oh dear, this one really has tipped me over the edge. I love this song, and I grew up knowing it so well, originally from Watership Down. I've always loved this song, and my mum did, too - I can clearly remember watching the film with her. I also remember her playing this beautiful melody on flute, violin, organ. I lost her over 5 years ago and wish so much she could have heard you singing it. She would have LOVED your voice, without a doubt, I truly hope she's somewhere able to hear this.

Cormac, a sublime performance with your beautiful, clear, and pure voice. That it is a bit darker than when you were a super treble, just gives it more character and makes it even more beautiful.
I remember this song from the movie "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" in the early 1970's. Actually about the adventures of a seagull. Peculiar, but really good footage.
