Riding on sand for the first time - can I do it?

Having entered the Weston beach race I thought it would be a good idea to try riding on sand before I go. The sand was so soft which made it really difficult but it was great to have a go. Weston should be interesting!

Ok I’ll try thanks. I was trying to keep my weight back to keep the front end light so it didn’t dig into the soft sand, is that wrong?
