I was just like you my female budgie was really hard to tame but all you need to do is spend a lot of time with them make them trust you now my female budgie literally flies to me to play with me
Hiya, I have a question, I am getting a Budgie on Sunday, (I have watched all of your videos so that I can do the best for him lol) but we go up to Norfolk a few times a year and it can be a 2-3 hour car journey, but there will be nobody to look after Alto whilst im gone, how do you think he would do on that long of a car journey and do you have any tips? Thanks :)
If your family member is allergic to a parakeet can you keep a parakeet in your room away form then? Like if there is no exposure will it still effect them.
I make none of these mistakes, I've had two of my four birds for a year and 2 months. They sing/talk to me and all that, but as soon as a hand comes into sight, they freak out. It's not aggression, just pure fear. This is due to the shop owners treating them terribly. Any tips?
hey ive got a statement and a question when i first got my bird he was scared of everything but even though he wasnt tamed i let him out he flew around but then he got used to me and started going on my finger. also when i first got him since he was scared of everything even milliet seeds if i get another bird how do i let him eat the milliet so i can tame him better
If meant mating and egg-laying it’s necessary to be patient till the birds get used in the new place. This for sure if your birds ready and reached to the age of mating. @parrotino
Hello, my parrots (boy and girl) have been in the same cage for 7 months now, I recently thought about putting them in different cages to tame them , How emotionally does it hurt them? And is it worth it at all?
You don't have to separate them long term, it only needs to be during taming sessions so they won't distract each other. If you separate them it will indeed make them lonely and depressed. Good luck
I have a serious question. I have budgie and he does bite and doesnt like being touched. He isnt tamed (im trying), but you said that in order to tame it you need to make it step up/eat from your hand. I do not know how to make it step up tho :(
How do I tame my budgie that has been traumatized from the pet store ? I got him a bigger cage and while trying to move him to the new cage he got out and flew around the house. I had to chase him to get him into the new cage. Now he doesn’t trust me at All . What should I do ?
i have made my male bird not afraid of me when i go see him when i put my hand in the cage he just comes up and be like: oh a hand you look friendly 😂.
I am trying to tame my two birds inside the cage and they are constantly distracting each other. I don't know how to separate them bc if I grab them they will lose my trust and I am scared that they will miss each other if I do so. What should I do???
What do I do if I bought the birds together in a pair and they've been bonded already? They are both female so they obviously aren't mates, but they are Still bonded as freinds, so I don't know whether to separate then or not for training.
One of our family friends have 4 budgies they went to their relatives that is far from our city so they gave their budgies to us for some days i used to feed them talk to them play with them now they're back and took their budgies with them and i am feeling so lonely i want them back i really like birds and animals and now i wanna cry 🤧 budgies are so cute oh my little friend i want you back but i can't do anything 😶
How do I gain my budgie's trust? I've had mine for a little over 2 & a half months. Interact with her daily, I sit where she can see me and I talk to her. She has several toys, but she's not interested in any of them. I've tried offering her spray millet and/or a variety of fresh fruits & veggies, but like her toys, she's not interested in them. She chirps & chirps like normal.
It may even take months for a budgie to get used to its surroundings, and even after she reaches a milestone, one simple mistake can get her back to having trust issues. It's normal that a budgie will take a long time until it's actually in toys, and some budgies don't even care for toys and won't ever mess with them, it could be her personality. Just be patient, spoil her with treats, and wait for it to happen.
Hello, I bought a female indian ringneck she will be 3 months old on the 17th of this month I’ve only had her for 5 days I’ve been trying to gain her trust but it doesn’t seem to be working I talk to her give her treats sit by her and nothing I have also tried to put my hand near her and she freaks out the only thing she wants to do is be on her perch outside of the cage please help
It’s better to be each bird alone for a good process of training and to build confidence between you and them. Why? Because as long as you want to train both of them, one of them will be afraid which leads to the escape of the other bird immediately. Close the windows and doors so they wouldn’t escape. As always say in my channel @parrotino, it’s better to train them at a young age
@@darkdestroyer089 Just observe the ring of the eye if there’s a white circle and there’re no lines above the head then it’s ready. If there are none of these signs then it’s still young
I'm sorry for your little budgie's illness.😔 There are many causes, and it's vital to your bird's health to somehow find a veterinarian if it isn't to late. One question: why birds always bite's?

It's best to make your birds trust you when they're still inside their cage, you can feed them with millet from your hand while they're inside.
After 3-4 months i tamed my birds and i just lost their tust over something stupid 😭
What should I do? I have false ceiling in my house but I want to take my birds out I can put a harness on them or what ? Please tell
I have 2 parakeets and I've had them for a few weeks and they still haven't had any luck any advice?

You should do that but keep the cages near eachother
I'm sure it won't affect them

My bird eats from my hand, but I can’t get it to step up. He will always find a way to get the millet without stepping up, any tips ?
You should gradually increase the distance of the millet spray so the only way for him to eat it is by stepping up...be patient. It will happen.

Oh, and, is it ok to let my bird out of that cage while he's untamed if he goes back in himself with his little ladder?
Yes your budgie should be getting 1-2 hours outside it's cage
