What keyboard setting do you use? There's jyutping, yale and cantonese pinyin. I can't find matching chinese characters when I text.
We made a video lesson about typing in Cantonese, please check it out here: ruclips.net/video/6lfABi6ENRA/видео.html

Hello 🎉
I got a question, why there are different ways of saying the same words, what I Have learned from duolinguo, for example "很开心认识你", muhei "好高兴认识你", rather, "好开心识到你"
It's kind of like English where one is It's nice to meet you and It's a pleasure to meet you ahah
Why is your "thank you" here translated to "m goi"? I've been using it to say excuse me because that's what I usually here when they're trying to pass through someone. I also googled and it told me that "m goi" can be translated to "excuse me".
唔該 (m goi) is used as excuse me or as thank you for receiving services, while 多謝 (do ze) is used as thank you for receiving gifts
你好

At first I was confused because I do speak mandarin and people tell me it's similar, but where? Now I see where 💀 About to go to hongkong, hopefully I don't slip up too badly
Some words are similar between Mandarin and Cantonese, so hope that's helpful! Hope you have a great time in HK! :)
