Looking good there Matt, I can't wait to see how you weather the leather the headrest. I usually just settle for one wash, a quick highlight and leave it.
Am I alone in thinking that Vader narrating this would be fun? "I am altering the dial. Pray I do not alter it further." "I find your lack of fit disturbing." "Obi-Wan never told you what happened to the B-17"
You don't need to unless you're trying to pull off something unusual (shading etc), but when I thin it's either Mr Leveling Thinner or Mr Rapid Thinner
I look forward every week to your next posting and enjoy every build. My question is: I notice everyone fades the color on ailerons and elevators between the ribs. Isn't the rib up further in the airstream and the fabric more taught over the rib meaning it would be the faded portion?
I think this is one of those cases where people are just blindly following a weathering cookbook without thinking through the practical realities. As you say, the fabric stretched over the ribs will see more fading/abrading. In many ways, it needs to be treated more like WWI biplane wings.
Looking great the scratch building really adds to the depth. Never be concerned about the length of the video, longer the better!
Brilliant - that cockpit looks way better than the old Revell 1/32 offering.
Your attention to detail is outstanding. I am an out of the box builder but your work is fantastic.
Thanks 👍
awesome work on the cockpit

Looking really good.
The technical term is "ass piece." Subscribed.
Looks pretty good. Thanks for sharing.
Great approach to the Look cockpit. I think they look a bit too perfect out of the box.
Like. "Dial thing" is a fuel selector. Nice work!

@@DoogsModels Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question. keep up the great work!
Great progress Matt! I saw you using MRP Leather black on the headrest initially, would that be MRP lacquer or their acrylic variant?
It's from their Figure Acrylics line. Basically their take on thicker acrylic like Vallejo Model Color.
I'm going to start referring to the seat of a chair as "the ass piece" from now on.
