  • Today we took a look at my busking setup. This setup contains the RC 600 loop station by boss as well as the GM 800 Guitar Synthesizer with the GK5 pickup. This whole setup is wonderful and in today's episode I'm just going to be using the GM 800 for rhythm tones. I hope you enjoy the RC 600 effects

Disappointed that you say you aren’t busking anymore. I like your busking vids !

I will still be busking but it's just for you guys. I'm currently earning more on my 3D printing company then all of my music ventures combined including this channel. That being said I'll never stop playing music but I do have to stop busking as it isn't profitable. You will still see busking videos but they are just for you guys. Sorry if this removes some of the authenticity of it but I just can't afford to go out there anymore. As you can see I'm not getting any tips lol.

@@GearSounds I get it, gotta pay the rent. You may not have collected a lot of tips, but you made lots of people enjoy their day out.

Yes, I only wish I could pay my rent with people's enjoyment of my music. Wouldn't that be wonderful if we could do that? 😄 I'm happy to have to work hard though, it's been really rewarding learning how to use computers, AI, 3D printers and more to make money to push into music. It feels good to be working out and getting in shape lately too. That's really changed me. Thanks for your support

What a great soundtrack to the visuals. What are you using to power the Pedals?

@@steveclark9934 He's clearly using the power of rock to power the pedals. 😂

That's the Ocean setting on the GM 800. It produced realistic waves in sync with Earth 🌍 😂

Hi, having the same setup, I'm keen on getting more experience from you. If I may share mine, I was always disappointed when (stereo) loopers had created more layer into the same panorama "border". I've found out that it can be amazingly resolved using insert fx "manual panning" and an fx pedal, so that I usually and easily make three layers of the same sound - first one as normal stereo, the second as slightly left and third slightly right. This gives the track much more spaciousness. Today I discovered that BOSS released a new update for GM 800 /April 2024/ that should improve pitch detection and tracking. Have you any experience with it? Ludek, Prague, Czech Rep.

Hello, no I don't update any pedals that I have as I want everybody to experience the pedal the same way they will out of the box. Most people don't update pedals even those that know how, including myself, so I always keep my pedals stock. That being said, I also wouldn't want to trust something until I see that it actually fixes the issues I'm experiencing.

    Hi from Japan.
I want to know if normal TRS cable is available for GM-800, not BGK cable.
I want to use junction box between the pickup and the synth with a short cable.
If it's compatible, is there some differences like latency or tracking accuracy between genuine one?
I'm sorry if you have already answered this question.
My English is not good, so please tell me mistakes if there're.

I'm not sure about TRS cable compatibility. I do know that with the old 13 pin cable there was a generic version. I wouldn't worry too much about a generic version but you may want to wait a few months. It's only 50 bucks to get the real thing and with something this expensive I would hate to cause some type of issue over some small thing like a cable. That being said I'm not aware of any other cable that works right now outside of the standard new cable.
