I have a Sako and 34 mm tube scope. The mounting is a conical taper. I bought the rings mount for the scope, but the rear base is 0.5 mm one step higher, so I can't turn the ring it self right or left, so I plan to cut the shim. but the rifle shoots to the right. scope ring is for Sako
I would like to hear your analysis of the Weaver windage adjustable rings, both front and rear are adjustable but they are not the pivot type. These rings mount on a Weaver style or Picatinny rail and are the only design that allows windage adjustments on that interface. Since the front does not pivot both front and back need to adjusted together. I cannot find anything on the internet on these so am developing my own process
I am having this exact problem on a new Remington 700 Ultimate Muzzleloader, I completely exhaust the right side adjustment and still, the gun is shooting left. I will use Leupold windage adjustable bases and see if I can correct the problem. Remingtons ain't what they used to be. I will use the windage adjustment on the base to point the scope to the left and get the scope line-of-sight parallel with the bore line of the rifle. Thanks for helping me think this through.
