He used the KISS(keep it simple & short) principle....I have watched many videos on you tube about adjusting a scope this one is the best. Man thanks for sharing ❤
This by far is the best "how to scope adjust" video I have ever seen. I wish that all "how to content creators" can create videos this simple, comprehensive, and concise. Great job
Good video, simple & to the point. While only using it to make a point, the marksmanship callout was perfect as I've heard many people over the years say their scope or gun is broke, when their mechanics,or breathing, jerking the trigger, flinching, etc. is usually the real cause of shitty grouping
All true and logical. I’ve pulled out a lot of hair trying to explain this to those who will not carefully shoot a three shot group and then adjust accordingly. I’ve seen many boxes of ammo burned up by people trying to chase a zero with Kentucky windage a shot at a time and then trying to adjust “backwards”. Why this is even a thing, I don’t know.
Dam that was a great video for a short video I seriously have been struggling to understand how to use the windage, and elevation knobs. I feel this video taught me a lot in a short time! Now’s it’s time to practice Great video!! 👍
You were amazing sir!!! Thank you for making that crystal clear for me! It's nice to know that it's prob got more to do with my lack of abilities & not havin a very secure spot to set up(ie...like the back of my truck!? Lol) which I'm sure didn't help my cause much either!?🤔... But, I guess I'll find out for sure next weekend!😁
That was very well explained. But what when You have 1Click @ 1/8" @ 100Yd and You want to shoot below 100Yd. Like 50Yd or even 25Yd. And also the scope can magnifies from 6-24 times. How to calculate that in different magnifications?
1ft off the end of the muzzle to 100 yds is going to impact within inches. 1/8 would simply be 8 in lieu of 4 to get an inch change. It is always best to adjust your magnification to lowest setting; 3x9 set at 3 for initial impact points. Increasing magnification doesn't change the distance between your target and the end of the muzzle; however, increasing magnification is usually necessary for longer ranges and all the same calculations on the fly have to be considered... Distance to target, wind variations, projectile drop, mirage, temperature and even with precise calculations the physical control on bone support, position, muscle relaxation, breathing and squeezing off a round become more important as range increases!
I watched out of curiosity....good job. My only suggestion would be to show the bullseye in a SQUARE grid...it's much easier to calculate windage and elevation. My guess is the circular example you use will be harder for beginners to understand.
So, the direction you turn the dials is the same direction the bullets will move on the next shot? i.e. 1.3 Mils (R) will change the next impact 1.3 Mils to the (R)?... Thanks!
I will explain the mechanics in another video, the indicated direction of the dials will move the shot essentially, in same direction...There is much more to explain in future videos. Thank you for watching and for your question!
100% correct about the first group. Marksmanship issues. I have roughly a 1/4 moa but for some reason no matter the adjustments it will hit either side of the red and never center hole lol maybe should zero it at 100 and try
There is a slim chance you are not shooting through the wobble area; let the crosshairs drift through the red and squeeze one off, see if that changes anything!
@@walterroberts1535 it’s also a 22 mag and there ammo isn’t really match competition stuff and those are the results I was expecting..I got it hitting 1 inch targets at 100 yards now, I was hard on myself about never getting center, but I’m gonna give that a try i appreciate that
@@walterroberts1535thanks for that I never knew there was wiggle room until i came back to this video years later. I always have to aim then dial backwards. Much appreciated video.
Question: 1" low at 100 = 4 clicks. Being the scope is 1/4" Would 1" low at 200yds be 2 clicks up? And if it was 2" low at 200 would equal 4 clicks up correct? Or is my math wrong?
So my question is if you zero at 20 meters using the same settings shoot at 50 meters how come the shots fly high considering there is no wind. I am using an AR 15 with a Zero Tech Scope
My target is at 600m . How can I just put clicks and fire. When rifle is already zero and when target move from 600m to 700m , how to increase elevation clicks....wind is still
All correctable! Never give up! I've instructed students whom never touched a rifle or handgun to shoot safer, more accurate and better forms than shooters with 40 years of experience...not all experience is good 😮
elevation is counterclockwise for up but I have looked at 10 videos and nobody says windage left clockwise or counterclockwise. How many clicks clockwise or counterclockwise? GRRR
Acronym MOA is Minute of Angle, just a fancy way to count clicks, LOL. 1/60th of a degree, specific distance adjustments for projectile impacts; I will try to cover the more technical things associated with marksmanship in future videos.
No, 8 clicks.. half the distance, twice the clicks.. at 200 yards 2 clicks=1".. at 400 yards each click =1 inch... best to start close (25 yards) and get centered, using big changes ( quarter to half turn, for example) then when you are hitting close to center move out to 100 yards and you should be close and can fine tune as shown..
Finally a simple video to explain how to adjust a scope. Thank you.
My metric scope is 10mm or 3/8 per click so 10 clicks for the 4"
Thank you for watching and the positive comment!

Thank you for watching, wow! That is the best compliment I believe I had ever received! Hopefully we wont disappoint in the future!
thank you for getting to the point and making a video a reasonable length of time.
This will work for me! Thank you it’s been so long since I touched a Scope, I’m excited to get back into it Thank you for the review!

What a great (!) video for beginners. Your time and effort invented is sincerely appreciated. Please keep up the very solid work.
Great video! Straight to the point and clear instructions. Thank you.
Thanks a lot for this manual! For me as a beginner in sharpshooting it was incredibly useful and easy to comprehend.
That was very professional

Very impressive video with exactly what I needed to know. You should write a book or I guess pamphlet 🤣😂🤣
Best info for beginners and easily to understand! Ty
I certainly appreciate the compliment and please keep checking back as the intention is to continue on with the videos.
Great intel. Never seen this type knowledge shared on RUclips. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching; I appreciate that comment, it intrigues me knowing someone appreciates information on things which are useful!
Incredible explanation and very concise thank you sir
No, no Thank you for watching!
This is a great video. Thank you for making this video. I have subscribed to your channel.
That is great news and I appreciate that very much! Thank you, thank you!
There for a second I blown away by your chalk board handwriting and lost track of the video and then I seen something was off. Lmao.
I was mesmerized

Thanks bro. Just the video i was looking for.👍
Ok so how many clicks to move 1 inch at 50 yards? 8? Did I understand it correctly?
Excellent video, thanks!
Simple and well explained, thanks
Thank you for taking the time to view it!
THANKYOU SO MUCH, I NOW FINALLY UNDERSTAND IT
very good and helpfull!!! Nice job!!!!!
Awsome video! Very infromative
this is a awesome class thank you
Love the explanation!
Thank you much appreciated!
Well explained.
Thank you 👍
You're welcome and thank you for watching!
Excellent video! What if your scope is in mils. What is the adjustment methodology?
Great lesson! However, what about at 50m do you double it? If it's above the poa by 2 inches, would you have to bring it down 8clicks or 16?
Great video 👍🏾
Thanks for watching
Great video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Very well done.
Thank you for watching and for your input; that means a lot to me!
Very well made video.

Nice job
Excellent video. I have a question, "how will I get to know that my scope has 1/4” MOA or else?"
Remove your turrets' caps on the scope, look on the dial, and it will be marked in click value and in either M.O.A. or MRAD
@@rickescover1862 Thank you so much
I see one of your fellow shooters answered your question and I appreciate your watching!
Also, would that make 3 inches at 300yds call for 4 clicks because it's technically 1 MOA?
Just verifying that I understand the MOA correctly
But when you shoot right do you adjust left or right same with up or down

How do you calculate the clicks if you aren’t 100 yards away? Say 25 yards? Or 125 yards?

Wow brilliant how fast he can print with chalk and his chalk never gets any shorter lol
Very good explanation. Simple and thorough. Not like some who just want to hear themselves talk. Great Video!!
very usefull , thank you
This all makes perfect sense to me but I get confused at let's say 300 yards or 400 yards because the click distances change

minute of angle ; read your manual that came with scope

If 4 clicks to move 1 inch at 100 yards 2 clicks to move 1 inch at 50 yards?

Wow
an retired police officer told me that a great( tight) grouping is when you shot all your rounds trough the same hole.excuse my spelling.😅
Man make it simple I don’t want that math bs
Poa move toward Poi simple
The shooter is shaky
Lol, I am not 25 any longer! Thank you for watching and for noticing!
inches ha?? it would be easy understand IF you would use cm not inches
How many centimeters in an inch
But what if my scope is in mils?? Just kidding😂
