The only thing that matters to me is that P6 is getting a SIMULTANEOUS WORLDWIDE RELEASE!!!
Which means no more avoiding the internet for half a year like i had to do for P5
Indeed it seems Atlus learned their lesson with that after Strikers.
I think Sega wants them to stay that way. Other Sega games have followed suit and we've gotten worldwide releases for every atlus game since SMTV. The only worry I have is whether or not they release it on PC, I don't want to buy a PS5 for Persona 6.

it's baffling that in 2016, when Persona 5 got released, it was first in Japan and much later in the west, I get they need to translate and re-voice the characters for other languages, but surely they can start that process shortly after finalizing the JP script right?
like on week 5 the script is finished, then a translator starts to work on it (or maybe they do things in batches on a weekly basis so that it's only shortly after the JP script is completely finished that the english script is also finished)
it's just baffling to me.
@@DarkDyllon the problem was that for a long time even with technology improving etc, Japanese devs just didn't let localisation happen until the game was fully finished. Sega at least are waking up to it a bit and so Altus are following suit. I've never done translation for games but I have translated manga, and I have dabbled in game dev for a hobby. While it's definitely easier to translate if you can actually see the game, there's not much point in waiting just for that if the script is finalized already, as you can always translate first and fix it later if there's a mistake. I have no idea how far into a project English voice acting is but it would likely be when development is nearly at its end. Either way worldwide releases are more than possible and the fact that it took this long to happen is just Japan being stubborn about changing business practices again.
Definitely awesome to see Persona get more worldwide releases. If this truly is the norm from here on out, I'm all in for it!
For persona 6 I would in all honesty rather Altus give story dlc rather then a re-release within the next year, but knowing them probably both

@@mitchsz yeah that's why, as expensive as it is, the separately sold DLC model in P3R is probably better than having to pay $60 again for the same game like with Persona 5 Royal or Persona 4 Golden
I am really sad there will never be a FemC but at least I feel better now that Atlus at least said they HAD plans to create her and WANTED to include her but couldn’t due to budget constraints, the amount of time and resources were unfeasable to recreate her, and they have much bigger Persona plans. Do even though I am sad at least I can feel happy knowing that Atlus did originally have a plan to include her and are sorry that they couldn’t include her. So I’ll move on and wait for a great sale to buy it as I am very poor right now and will await the “Episode Aigis” DLC at the end of the year as I personally never played it ever since I only ever played P3P and the remake
Don’t lose heart; they typically do remasters a few years after the initial release. We may see FeMC yet!
I agree and even though my slightly veiled hope that their minds might change. Knowing that they at least looked into the idea and considered the concept, rather than measly tossing it aside and "never wanting to bring her up" as people have claimed. It makes it a bit less painful of a pill to swallow.
Hopefully, like discussed in the video about the fan modding community, Atlus won't have issues with fans implementing their own efforts into the game. Adding something that is missing that ultimately Atlus had to give up and move onto other projects in the meantime. Persona 3 Reload is definitely still a great product overall!
I'm happy modders are doing a better job than atlus when it comes to femc and only hope that with the dlc coming up they can also include the femc mod to make it work for the dlc. For atlus- femc was a "no" from the start no matter how many excuses they make such as wanting to work on new projects when most of their work recently has just been remakes or rehashes of previous persona games. they just dont want to do it, and thats fine. the modders will do it instead.
@JayJay-qu4nw Can you also complain to the hundreds or thousands of fans that have been pleading for a Persona 3 Remake for a decade or so, and not "just" Atlus? I've even seen some people ask for a Persona 4 remake in this bane/style should it turn out well. So it's not just the company alone who'd be at fault for only "rehashed games and releases"
Please...They neither planned nor wanted to include female MC in this remake. These are just their usual excuses similar to ridiculous ''female characters are too difficult to make' and other nonsense. Let's remember that Atlus are not some small indie company to complain about lack of time or money.🙄
It is obvious that whoever is responsible for Persona franchise does not care about their female playerbase. So why should we care about them? I personally, are done with their sausage protagonists and male perspective in RPG games.😒
"The Answer plays an integral roll in persona 3's narrative" which is why we didn't include it with the base game.
Blame Sega for that and for us not getting FemMC. Atlus wasn't constrained by budget but by deadlines set by Sega that weren't feasible for including everything they wanted(notice also that P3 Reload is missing things we were expecting like cutscene rewatching). That's why The Answer is DLC and not in base game-it just wasn't feasible to have it polished and localised in time. They can't openly diss Sega in interviews tho so that's why we get excuses that don't make sense.
@@lilylavae321 I'm aware deadlines exist but we are still getting charged for this so that makes this game a 100 dollar game plus it still could have been an update instead of dlc. That being said I'm still going to play it and the base game is still great without it but feels like a slap too the face(or wallet I guess) for them too say "We didn't give you the full game with your purchase so give us more money".

I'd imagine the open world would be similar to Yakuza, you can explore the city that it'll take place in and do various random activities around there. A smaller but featured area that's fully explorable.
Persona should really start taking a page out of Like a Dragon and doing proper side activities where you actually interact. Royal did good with the batting, fishing and Tycoon minigames, but it should have more
Hopefully this is the approach. I really don't want Persona to turn into another open world game with massive, lifeless zones where we pick up litter needed to craft basic items.
@@HenriqueHCA14 I totally agree. The expanded fishing in P5 over P4 was honestly a nice break from the loop, and Tycoon/darts/batting were also all welcome additions, and really made the world feel more alive. I'm really excited to see how Atlus might expand on this.

Id love to see persona 6 push the interactions with shadows. Like how they are in the SMT Games (never played SMT, just find it dope that the story revolves around humans and demons interactions and you even have demons as side characters)

Wether or not P6 is revealed, I think its smarter to wait for its defenitive edition with all the dlc content plus new content.
P6 'open world' thing is interesting. I'm imagining the palaces / tartarus being replaced by another world, hidden from the public. Like maybe it's in dreams or something, like you go to sleep and bam you're in some kind of alternate reality, maybe more SMT like I guess.
That or it could mean, like usual, but the 'open world' refers to the map exploration, and instead of having different chunks of city with a loading screen in between, you can actually walk all the way there. I mean that sounds fun to me. Can we ride the train from Shinjuku to Akihabara, watching the buildings come and go while listening to some awesome Persona soundtrack? Because I'd love that (though I very much doubt it will happen).
In any case, I trust Atlus with this.
If you have xbox ultimate gamepass you can currently claim the dlc for free until January 31st 2025
Where do I go to claim it?
From the Xbox One Console, you can find this section by going into your Games and apps section and selecting the Full library tab. Here you can select Xbox Game Pass and select the green Xbox Game Pass banner. Scroll down to Game pass membership benefits click on the see all benefits button, it'll bring you to a list of items select Perks with ultimate,and you'll find it as the current 2nd banner.

@@screaming_cat2007 To expand on what he said: it's only for people who have game pass ultimate, the offer actually expires January 31st of 2025, and you claim it where you would normally claim Game Pass Ultimate perks. For PC, that's the Xbox app and then clicking perks. I don't know where it is for console.

I was hoping that reload would've launched with either the Femmc or with the Answer instead of having to pay for an expansion pack to play an epilouge that was free in P3 Fes
It was free on P3 Fes, but if you bought P3 you then had to buy an entire new game to play the additional contents. I personally waaay more prefer DLCs over alternative versions of the same game

P3R being a remake and all, I expected a game that we know about the epilouge to come out with the whole game and not have to pay $35 for a epilouge that was included free with P3 Fes/P3 portable.

The Fem MC stuff sounded like a cop out. They could have done it if they actually wanted to they keep writing her off like she wasn't there at all and its so frustrating that they make it hard for girl gamers to enjoy games as much as the men. The fem mc and persona 3 portable is one of my favorite games ever, probably my top 3, and saying they are working on something for the future? A joke. Makes me so frustrated that they are acting like this, super annoyed. I love persona 3 and I'll probably get the reload game just because I'm excited about new content I haven't seen and Junpei in 3D, but honestly sick hearing them take it out completely. Unless they announce a persona 3 reloaded fem only game which I don't see them doing either :( Maybe i am wrong and I would like to be.

its not the same in japan ,They are much more focus on the school work in college/university level there , High school is there college equivalent of having free time.
Also I think it is addressed in the Persona Trinity Soul how an adult Akihiko lost the ability to summon his Persona. So I guess adults older than 25 give or take can't summon their Persona.

Am annoyed that it is DLC instead of on-disc, but they do have a history of releasing Definitive Editions a few years after the initial release, so we may see a Complete Edition (with FeMC?) a few years from now.

Just realized you can claim the P3R expansion pass as a perk on Game Pass.
Unfortunately on PC, you have to have GP Ultimate, so I'll wait to upgrade & claim it when the DLC actually drops.
You can claim it now, and even if your sub expires you still have the DLC. They literally give it to you if you claim it with a GPU sub.

@@corey2232 Yes. I said that before. You can upgrade for the one month and then right when it is upgraded you can go to your perks to claim it. Also you can then play the EA games that are included when ya got ultimate as well while your at it. Like Dead space is there if by some chance. So think of it as paying 17 for the DLC instead of 35.

I gotta say that while it's disappointing that we won't officially get the Female MC in the reload, they're not being wishy-washy about saying so. A definitive non-ambiguous answer is a welcome thing - we can deal with the disappointment and move on without the baggage of wondering about ambiguous wording or the all-too-common tendency for fandoms to overinterpret hope for something when a creator doesn't want to come right out and say that something isn't happening or that this is this and not that.
I, at least, really appreciate a thoroughly unambiguous answer that doesn't leave anyone any room to continue dwelling on wishful thinking.

At the very least, the Femc dilemma is a good excuse for a Golden re-release as bad as it sounds. If programming her would be as long as one year, It makes sense that a re-release would be considered. Let's hope they actually learn their lesson and at least package the DLC with FeMC. I definitely want there to be more involvement in the metaverse that isn’t just go here fight this mini boss and then back to the real world. I would have liked if we were able to be sneaky and learn more about our palace targets maybe more of what happened to Igor and taking initiative instead of just waiting for time to pass

I would be annoyed if the narrative of P6 isn't finished in the base game, where you have to het the DLC to enjoy the whole thing. Or if it's going to be an extra thing like how Persona 5 Royale is or P4 Golden.
I'm going to wait on P3 reloaded maybe they will do a complete release that has the answer included, like what Atlus plans to do with P2's two parts. Didn't buy Reloded right away because I already bought the first rerelease. At least FeMC is there.
Also hats off to the mods. Who are working on FeMC version, because it looks fantastic.
Things I want in Persona 6
-Playable Female character (doesn't have to be a kotone just a alternate version of the male character would be fine)
-Open world shadow world (have the game center around exploring the world instead of a set dungeon would be extremely cool)
-Confidants that work more closely with the shadow world (I want confidants to directly affect the shadow world. In the shadow world say you make friends with a politician and it open up new routes and shadows for example)
-I would like no more royal golden reload make persona 6 the definitive version with dlc acting as the additions
-I would like to move away from the talking mascot and give us another koromaru/aigis style mascot.
-I would like to go out day and night whenever and suffer consequences for pulling too many all nighters (risk reward)
-Maybe make confidants party members over time (Add more surprise to who can become party members and join your cause)
-I would like interactions where normal people cross into the shadow world like P3 for tension
-Group confidant hangouts where you can dedicate time to multiple people (like real life maybe make progression a bit slower than 1-1 interactions)
-Bring back Theurgy or a similar mechanic to add flavor to combat (Persona 5 had guns, so a new mechanic would be nice)
-Enemy Faction, liked Akechi, but a Strega style group would be really nice its cool seeing evil personas and opposing ideologies.
-Shadow quests if we are going open world in the shadow world make it so we can earn stronger shadows through quests or get gear through their quests. It adds alot of personality like in the SMT games and makes shadows more meaningful and memorable.
-If humans can cross over into the shadow world having shadows invade the real world somehow would also be cool.
-Make the mc's main persona prominent somehow I don't like the notion of scrapping Orpheus, Izanagi, or Arsene at the first chance because their reveals were meaningful and reflected the mc. On that note make the main persona earnable not like we have it off the bat like any of the 3 (Note: I have not played Persona 1-2 so I don't know if they do it like that).
-I like the idea of a flipped arcana in past games for social links as it adds more risk and reward factor to hanging out with people and also is more realistic when friendships go stale after not talking.

Truthfully, with the fact that persona 3 got a remake,
I’m hoping this means that Atlas is seriously considering the rest of the persona series getting remakes.
And I’m not just talking like Persona 4 ReShuffle.
(if that ends up becoming what it’s remake will be called. I will be really surprised and really happy.)
But the three persona games that came before the big shift.
Persona 1, Persona 2 and if sequel game. Good very much benefit with a new coat of paint.

I am kind of hoping that Atlus works together with the developers of the FeMC mod and integrates it into the actual game. I doubt it will happen, but it would be cool. That said, though I do wish the setting for P6 was something other than high school, it's not enough to turn me away from the game. I'm sure I will still enjoy it considerably. Would be cool though to get a Persona game where you are an adult, though. It would open the door for some really interesting ideas and themes to explore. Maybe eventually. The only thing I am actually annoyed with is the heavy integration of DLC. I feel like you shouldn't have to pay more money to get the full story and experience of a game. That just seems greedy to me. Plus, it makes you wait that much longer to get the true version of the game. Then what happens when they do the special version, like with P4G and P5R? You have to buy the game all over again just to then get whatever they added on for that.
I disliked the rerelease approach so switching to a dlc format could be a better approach. But it's too soon to tell so I'll wait for an announcement.

Head on The Block about DLC: modern game development plans around it or whats cut from base game, often becomes paid DLC later. Either way, its usually something that should have been in base game or its so worthless, being wasted money. Most post game content is this now, DLC or expansion while base game has no end game, all saved as DLC. Lose-lose situation.

As someone who no longer has the time/energy to keep up with the consoles, Atlus will only get my money if there's a PC release for P6. A console-first-PC-later deal is fine by me too cause god my backlog is long (Still haven't finished P4G/P5R/P3R, but I already finished the originals so no rush I guess.)

Semi open world Persona game. Pretty much SMT V in terms of gameplay-which I loved. I liked P3 Reload and manage to finish it in 114hrs but I preferred STM V gameplay loop more. If P6 is like that but even more refined we're in for a treat.

Lol, ok. Using a mod is different than animating entirely different scenes, creaking new social links, recording voice actors (not just Japanese, but all the other languages too) for it. Even I knew recreating the whole game from near scratch just to add a female character is going to be harder than doing the Episode Aigis
You’re being blinded by a simple mod, where some person created a skin. Love to see them take the property and animate/code/direct/get voice actors/ etc. Where is your “fans did it” now?

I was just talking to my friends the other day saying it's time for Persona 6 to be a semi open world setting game. In my opinion honestly, majority of the players already know how to take down maze/dungeons in one day and the rest of the days is mostly school life or daily life. This way I think will make the game immersive. Let's just say if you can run around Persona 3 Reload artificial island with more features around the map. That to me is so cool.
I kinda wish the next Persona could have you as a young teacher instead, who was transferred to some delinquent school for some issue with the previous school authority or wrongly accused of something. Make it kinda like Gokusen/GTO simulator. Then no one will feel wrong about dating the next teacher social link or any other adult characters. Obviously for the younger female characters you can reply "Jyunen hayai wa ne"

I wanted the answer but I think I’ll hold off on it when it launches. The price is too much and the expansion pass shit is dumb. I don’t need cosmetics for a game I’ve already beaten by the time the DLC comes along
Not happy with not giving us a choice with what we want to purchase. I prefer only episode Eigis and many others on steam like myself also don't like it due to overwhelmingly negative reviews.
In the end, I'll just wait for the Expansion Pass to go on a deep sale at least.

Since it is basically a preorder and a season pass, you cannot buy them separately since they aren’t for sale yet.
But once the DLC comes out, you will be able to buy Episode Aigis separately for a cheaper price than the expansion pass, which includes all of the DLC and is why it is $35.
I’m going to guess Episode Aigis is going to be about $20 to $25, since they don’t usually charge much for small additions like extra BGM, or even the DLC Personas.

Persona 6 not being college is disappointing as I feel that hinders what I imagined for a possible story. However P6 must have a female protagonist in my eye. Maya can't be the only one besides the p3 one. I think it's time for one or for a toggle option where you can choose.
Yes toggle might be seen as near impossible in a creative aspect that they go for but the amount of care they give these games also makes me wonder if it's possible.
typical Atlus to be like "buy these worthless BGMs and outfits that you never asked for" I don't want them, but I do want Episode Aigis, when they released that trailer and saw that Aigis was wave 3, I was excited to see what Wave 1 and 2 had in store, promptly got dissapointed because ... really? more BGMs and more outfits? the outfits you get ingame are already good enough, and playing the P4 or P5 themes just feel off.
on Persona 6, I hope the "DLCs" mean that we don't need a "reload, Golden or Royal" version down the line, and that if you purchased the base game+DLC that you got everything the game has to offer.
Also Atlus, how about starting development of the next highly anticipating Persona mainline entry much sooner? rather than 8 years between the release of P5 and the announcement of P6, not even the release of P6.
How about stopping all of these spin offs, they really milked P5 for all it was worth, really hope they don't take another 2-3 years to make Persona 6, really insane to think development goes this long, and then complain when the game sales didn't make up for development cost, no kidding when you spend so much money over x amount of years, games would need to be 200-300 euro's EACH to make up for some of the development cost.
Also, I would be down for a persona game that is in college or even a young professional, Persona 3,4 and 5 all were highschoolers, kinda hard to get immersed when highschoolers go through all of these weird things, while the adults do jack shit all over the place, would also make more sense conceiling the events to the public if it was college/young professional, they laid the phantom thieves being us a big too thick for my taste, it was so obvious that it was US and not others.

I don’t know how to claim the dlc on console, but it’s important to say say. Once you claim the Aigis Epsiode dlc (through Xbox GamePass Ultimate) you keep it, even if you unsubscribe to the service. It’s a permanent feature. Never seen Xbox do something like this before, but I’m thankful. Already spent $70 on the base game, and for people that got the premium edition CANT even claim the dlc. WTF Atlus💀

Ok, 2-3 year roadmap dlc sounds like they want to skip a "royal edition", as at least for p5 that was the time that it took for royal to release, and make the definitive version the first time around, then again, this is atlus and I still don't really trust their consumer practices, so I think I'll skip on buying the game until I'm sure there won't be a "royal/golden/fes" version, but if the plan is making that roadmap a "royal edition season pass", I'll be very happy
Last time I heard P6 leaks, I think it was from Midori, and she stated that the game could come out in 2025, but most likely in 2026, so I'm surprised to hear that it is around 95% done and less surprised, but definitely pleased, that the release goal for Atlus is 2025, of course these are leaks so they could be wrong, but given their track record I'll embrace the copium on this one

I love the SMT series in general, mostly because its consistent quality and how the franchise never gave up its roots as a turn based rpg (unlike FF) and is always fresh with ideas and experimentation (unlike pkm). On the other hand... so fucking expensive, Im brazilian and the prices are ridiculous for our reality.

Their justifications for not including the FeMC as DLC at the very least are dubious at best. The groundwork is laid in the core game. Are they really claiming that some additional scriptwriting, a handful of character models, and a few extra rounds with the VAs are so cost and time prohibitive that they simply can't afford it? It's not like she introduced an entirely new game mode with new mechanics or core features, she's a model swap with a few extra flourishes. It sounds like they just wanted to find a better PR way to say "we didn't want to."
P3 Reloaded being a blueprint.. Id love to see the DLC fail to make sales expectations, and them roll back on cutting up P6 into DLC and release a whole package.

If they didn’t do it here I doubt they will in the future. This seemed like the best opputunity considering Kotone is an official character and already tied to P3’s legacy. They clearly think she is not proffitable enough to include, so I don’t see them bringing any new female mcs if they know the male mcs are what sells the games :/

Welp, the people who wouldn't buy P3R cause they were waiting for a 'definitive edition' can stop complaining now.
Like this hasn't been said before but, a young upstart in a business setting would be amazing. A lot of the elements that are in a high school setting can be adjusted to work here. Like going to meetings and answering questions to show your knowledge and charm your co-workers. In-office relationships, work friends, office committees for extra-curriculars, and staying at work longer to boost your abilities in some way. Not to mention there is all sorts of conflict in the workspace that has the potential to be an antagonistic force toward the M.C.'s life. I know that I'm just singing to the choir here, but I have to put up my two cents on how much of a missed opportunity this is, especially with all the controversy that is in the Japanese workspace and its ethics. Then again this might be the reason they aren't pursuing this setting. I like to think that Atlus is a fun place to work but, maybe the introspection hits too close to home for them.
