Even though it's ages away , for next FM, I feel like a Luxembourg build a nation would be quite fun, they already have a national team and have a lot of big nations near that can produce some amazing Luxembourgish players, also would like to see a Slovakia one, for banska bystrica, would be amazing to see my home in it haha😂
Liechtenstein would be the ultimate 🇱🇮
@@Nigel4 didn't even think about that, it would be amazing , but the amount of poaching that Austria and Switzerland would do 😂😭
@@Nigel4 That would be an absolute nightmare since they don't even have their own league lol You could make Vaduz European contenders and you'd still be let down by other teams that are stuck in the 4th tier or below, you'd need to build multiple clubs and even then only one of them would be in Europe every year, two or three max if the clubs that doesn't win the Liechtenstein Cup win a european trophy
There's no Liechtenstein league, the teams play in the swiss league as guests so can't qualify for Europe from the league. They have to win the Liechtenstein cup to qualify for Europe which only qualifies you to the conference league so to begin the save the only way to win the champions league is by winning the conference, Europa and champions league in successive seasons. Also there's only around 4 or 5 teams from Liechtenstein.
@@tehcolemanator4179 ah yes I completely forgot about that, imagine a Vaduz career rising to the top of the swiss ranks whilst building Lichtenstein with your youth accedemy, that would be the ultimate building a nation
Porto's sub keeper was called Fred Lasso
As for the "Awaiting Paperwork" and players refusing to declare for a different nationality, I did some testing a while back in my Kazakhstan building a nation save. What I found out (or atleast think I found out) was that if a player was in a nations National Pool, he wouldn't want to switch nationalities. I had two senegalese players who picked up Kazakhstan as a 2nd nationality, but they never went on to play for Kazakhstan and it simply stood Awaiting Paperwork like it does for you. I added a new manager as the Senegal manager and saw that they both were in the National Pool of Senegal, I removed them from it and went on to sim for a year and they both declared for Kazakhstan. I never had any issues getting Russians (they had no national team setup) or Brazillian regens to declare for Kazakhstan.
This was on the original patch, I don't know if this is why this happens or something else made them switch.
Good god it’s like Thomas Tuchel reinvigorated with that defensive record.
6:25 Unflappable has nothing to do with professionalism right? At least in Zealand's spreadsheet from a while back it says that Unflappable is just 15-20 Pressure and 15-20 Temperament.
The mad lad actually cleaned the microphone. I cant believe it. I shall rememember this moment, future generations shall forever remember this glorious day
Passing France is crazy! And you’re getting so close to the other teams. Hope you make it to the top before FM25 when I assume you’ll end the series. Keep it up!
15:46 Nice to see a regen McGinley doing well, even if it’s not in or for Malta
For a next building a nation i think that Finland could be a great idea
In Pedro Figueira, Figueira is pronounced as Fee-gay-ra
Good to see Tabacaru developing nicely. Scored in the UCL final for Barca in my BaN this year
The issue around awaiting paperwork is why you might want to get the editor. The game wants to do something but encountered the bug so using the editor to fix the bug makes a lot of sense to me
I find it funny how your tactic more and more morphs into what I have been playing with since FM20. Now all you need to do is put that offset AM on the left wing, advance one of the DMs either to CM or AM and you'll be winning with a formation I was repeatedly told made no sense.
You already know the strength of WB+W on the right side, now you need the same on the left. Yes, you will sacrifice a bit of your defensive wall with only a single DM (put it on anchor or HB to compensate) but with a more consistent offense you won't be so prone to losing through unlucky punches.
What's the world ranking of Maltese clubs individually? Are Sirens in the top 5?
Almost got that quantum mechanics joke right😉
18:46 Even when you don't concede a goal you instinctively default to the opponent scoring one 😄.
21:13 When you look at the two Barca games one thing stands out to me: your GK has very good ratings both times, even though Barca had zero shots on target in the first game and only one shot on target in the second game. What is going on there? Does the GK get a good rating for completing passes? :D Because per definition if a ball does not even hit the target the GK has nothing to save. Also, I have a very hard time believing that a GK runs 6+ km in a match...something is not right here, at all.
I saw an article that said keepers typically cover 2-5 km/match, so if you have an aggressive sweeper keeper who is going high up his half when his team is in possession and running back when they lose it I could see it happening.
I don't know if its possible but if you can would you be able to cover the "Holders" section when going through Europe? Because it turns it from "oh could we have won" to immediately becoming "ah when did we all lose"
I'm waiting for the next part
Personally I think next year doing Liechtenstein would be neat because they are pretty much at their lowest point ever national team wise, despite club wise being at a relatively high point.
Problem is none of the teams are able to qualify for the ucl through league as they’re “invited” to the Swiss league. Only uecl through the cup. Would need a mod to create their own league. Found that out the hard way after winning the Swiss league and not qualifying for the ucl😅
@@willbrunton5333 you can get the extra coefficient spot and cup can become UEL. A mod does exist too
@@willbrunton5333 Problem is you would also need to modify that Liechtenstein league to have the proper qualifications like all the other nations around them
Odd question Matto but here goes. With you saying how important agility is, is it worth training everybody's additional focus as agility/balance or would it not matter?
i know you didn't asked me but personally I'd say no, its not worth training
if you train younger players they'll develop their physicals anyway, if you train older players they wouldn't get a boost in physicals since they've already developed
its only reasonable to do if you get a player out of your own academy with garbage agility/balance (since you can use the training focus as early as possible)
apart from that I'd always go for mental/technical attributes
@@christianulrich8234 Interesting. I'm gonna experiment with it for a couple of seasons with agility below 12 and see how it goes. Cheers for answering.
@@Murtini2023 no worries mate
generally I've experienced it myself too, agility and balance in conjunction are really really good in game
I've had some mexican winger in my squad who's putting up ungodly numbers, stuff like 50 goals/assists per seasons on a regular basis for 10+ years
while he has good stats overall, guess which are really high on him, agility and balance (i checked, 20 agility and 15 balance, he got a bit worse now since he's 31)
in all this time his worst season was a 7.5 which is ridiculous
he's also won several individual titles, like player of the year ("only" twice tho)
he also broke several records but I'm ranting for too long lol
in short, agility is very good in game
You know when a player demands a payoff for signing for a club that they don't want to do? The club should have an option to demand the same for players going to Saudi.
23:03 Atletico did WHAT??
🐐
Since you are now manager of national team, I think you should use your connections (FM editor), and for Roy Fleming and other guys that are waiting for papers, get them their Maltese citizenship and get them into team. You ain't hurting anyone with that...
IDE argue that is cheating
should i quit my job syc?
not in a million years we could get 12 points from the qualifying rounds hahahahaha
