Thank you for your clear and easy to understand tutorial! Do you use only GA and Tag Manager, or do you also use tracking software (like ClickMagic/Voluum, etc) for your affiliate campaigns?
Hi Matt, i am a newbie on digital marketing, thanks for your video! It gives me some big insights! One question- if i have a product wants to apply affiliate marketing. Do i have to give out an specific affiliate link to different youtuber? Or by giving out one landing page link, i can already track the link is clicked via which youtube video? like 04:07 shown? Thanks!
If I have already set up GA with wordpress (using the built-in integration settings within Wordpress), can I additionally do as you instructed in the video to add another affiliate tracking using event tracking? Would that two flows of tracking data overlap or perhaps conflict with each other? Cheers my friend.
If the affiliate URL is something like www.affiliateprogram.com, then you only need to add "affiliateprogram" and it'll find all links that contain that.
For the trigger, should it be page url contains “amzn” or “Amazon”. I have Amazon short links on my site and those links have amzn not Amazon in them. Also, would you be willing to get on a zoom call and go over this with me, I can pay you for your time. Thanks
Hey, great tutorial! You're amazing, man. I have a question: in this way, do I track the click from AMP pages too? Thanks in advance for your answer, Andrea
Thanks for your answer,@@MoneyLab. Because if I check on GA I see 240 Interactions (yesterday) while on Amazon Affiliate Program I see 683 clicks. The values don't match. And if I check the "event label" in Google Analytics I only see non-AMP pages.
@@andreasemonella8560 I have the same issue, it doesnt seem to work for my AMP pages.@Moneylab thanks for the above, great video. could you please check for amp too?
Dude, you're amazing. Just subscribed. Keep pumping them out and thanks for sharing your stuff!

Only GA for now. Working to add advanced tracking to GetLasso.co
Very entertaining video! I may not really need this, I really liked the zooming in and out on the cursor. Good job Matt!
Thanks!
Great intro to the tag manager! I decided to check it out because of your video! Have you configured your tags to also count non left click actions?
I haven't no.
Thank you that was great. Will this work if I use it for telegram shopping to send people there as well?
Not sure but you can give it a shot
You are a crazy man. This is a must-have trick we should use on every affiliate website. Loved your tutorial! Absolutely stunning!!!
Glad it was helpful!

If you're running an affiliate program, you have to create a unique URL for each affiliate.
@@MoneyLab got it! Thank you so much!

Yea, you would have to add custom code to the tracking script or use a plugin.
Can I use this for links to paid research studies that I’m affiliated with?
You should be able to
At 03:11, I went ahead and pasted in my affiliate URL, is it correct, or do I just need the name of the affiliate network?
If the affiliate URL is something like www.affiliateprogram.com, then you only need to add "affiliateprogram" and it'll find all links that contain that.
You made my day man!! This is gold, thank you very much for creating this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. One question, using this method is something similar that big tracking companies do like voolum or I am wrong? Thanks.
i am looking for same can we use it for affiliate sales tracking. if you found solution please tell me also
Not sure I can help with that.

Appreciate that, but I don't take on clients.
What do you mean when you're saying "pages on your website" ?
Not sure which part you're referring to.
Awesome tutorial, really easy to follow
Glad to hear that!
Great work, something I need to delve into myself
can we track keywords which brings sales,if yes then how
Not anymore. Sorry.

Awesome in-depth article. Truly worth the time. Keep it up :)
Will Do!
what if same user clicks multiple times on affiliate link in single session
I don’t believe that’s how sessions work. It should only count as one.
Is there any way I can track real monetary value to my clicks? And also know which ad is making money?
Not that I know of.
Good tut, thanks
Glad it was helpful!
What if you want to track an affiliate link from another business when you don’t own the website? So it’s an affiliate link I make money on.
Different software required.
Excellent video, thanks.
