A mother deciding to do everything to save her children is not a controversial choice.
What a sultan has decreed, another sultan can undo. Only Suleiman had a chance to stop the slaughter. He did not, he chose his throne and dynasty over his sons.

Mustafa now says he wouldnt rebel against suleiman..but all the while he was gathering powerful ppl around him to do that only
It was discovered unexpectedly and ali agha was killed
Mustafa just like his mother..does everything wrong..do stand with other women, like a coward,to pull down hurrem..but when caught..plays victimhood

The fact that musfata was named Mustafa(the chosen one) and was prepared his entire life to take the throne like all his incestors did for their crowned Prince but was soo cursed by the politics of women that he never had the chance to have what he was born for.. All the otomon kings were chosen from the moment they were born.. They were trained a different way, raised a different way but for musfata and after him the entire system collapsed.. Their victories confined to defending their lands and their dreams confined to mere survival.. The dream that Osman The first had that was passed to Orhan and than to his choose son just failed in the hands of Suleyman.. This is the proof that downfall happens from the very hands that once built the future to rise.. There r soo many lessons in history for those who want to learn

There's a popular Turkish legend tht says the curse of shehzade Mustafa son of mahidevran hatun and then the curse of Mehmed son of Kosem Sultan (or possibly another condubine) according to history caused weak rulers to become kings and caused so many innocent princes to be slaughtered.
Because they were robbed of their rightful position and killed for a crime they didn't commit.
Both Hürrem and Kösem saw the deaths of their own children for the throne in different ways. In hurrems cse it was entirely preventable had Süleyman chosen to so so. But Suleiman himself killed his crown prince and let the other's kill each other. Resulting in Selim the drunk becoming the sultan and that caused a lot of instability

@@faizakhan4884 that's an interesting thing. But why mehmed's curse ? Wasn't he younger than Osman ? So Osman was the rightful one. That's a different thing that Osman was weak as a sultan. I actually don't know what's the rule of choosing a crown prince in ottoman empire. Is he supposed to be the eldest one or the most capable one??

    • @faizakhan4884
      @faizakhan4884 Месяц назад +1

@@iiiiiiaaaandidiwinnnneoafter şehzade Mehmet ( son of Sultan Ahmet) was killed by his brother Sultan Osman a winter like none other came over Istanbul, historically people even thought that it was an "iceage" like situation.
And, Osman wasn't the "rightful" crown prince and the sultan. Both Osman and Mehmet were favoured equally by Ahmet and the declaration of the crown prince hadn't yet happened.
Before such a declaration by the king, no prince has superiority over others and isn't guaranteed the throne after the kings death.
The king Ahmet died unexpectedly early, and Kösem Sultan didn't want to watch one of her son's killing all the others including kids from other concubines (like Osman, she loved and raised Prince Osman as her own afterall).
So she forged documents with the kings seal making şehzade Mustafa (brother of Ahmet) the Sultan in the case of his unplanned death.
Followed by Osman, Mehmet, Murad etc. She essentially tried abolishing the practice of killing the remaining princes ones a new king is chosen.
She followed Ahmets example of showing mercy to şehzade Mustafa and his mother.
Also, Kösem Sultan knew of Mustafas condition and incapability and was sure that he wouldn't have kids so the throne would be back in the hands of her kids (Osman or Mehmet as she considered both as equally hers). But things went downhill when Halime and Dilruba sultan tried killing all the remaining princes secretly.
So, through a lot of politics Osman finally got the throne, but he was young and naive and as such believed the whispers of court that Kösem Sultan had made him the king but was trying to co rule with him (Like a Valide Sultan, which he should've made her officially as he literally called her Valide) but he didn't like that and also he banished her to the old palace. Later on Mehmet was framed along with Kösem Sultan by the court members who knew that this trio together would be very powerful. And much like Sultan Süleymans case Sultan Osman believed the whispers and false evidence and had his brother Mehmet executed who like Sultan Süleymans son Mustafa died telling the truth till the end and screaming there for their brother/father's understanding.
Later both Osman and Süleyman regretted but that obviously wouldn't bring back the dead.
Both these deaths caused a general nosedive in the greatness of the Ottoman Empire which previously was expanding but for 2 generations after both these death each the empire didn't expand instead it shrunk due to incapable rulers and internal politics causing all military action to be defensive rather than offensive.

This is why I like Kosem the most. She did not get the power through so many lies and slanders as Hurrem did and Kosem did try to save her children and even Mustafa 1. Even Ibrahim was not killed by Kosem's order, but because the statesman did not want him alive.

I’m sorry but what 😂 Kosem literally sacrificed many pashas who went against her and before that killed Silahtar and Farya for her own gain and was about to kill her grandson. And it’s foolish and naive to think you can get to the heights Hürrem and Kösem reached without deceit and lies the only difference between the two is that one sacrificed her children for the state and the other didn’t and that’s not Kösem. And this is in context of the show

Suleiman is very compassionate on Mustafa. But Mustafa still doing mistakes. He wants to take revenge on Hurrem for his died concubine and unborn child by showing his fake love on Hurrem's children. But Hurrem has her very valid reasons for the battle against Mustafa. Mustafa is never an innocent but a wolf. What would Mustafa do,if Hurrem's children want to save their mother when he became Sultan. Will he spare her life?? Never.
