At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

It shows how deeply she respected and cared for Sumbul, many would just call him to visit her, but she goes to him.
Sumbul's sad past have broke my heart and I'm so sad for him, Hurrem have made a good decision by give him, his happiness. Sumbul and Hurrem will forever remain sincere and long-term friends because they grew up and evolved together in the palace without ever abandoning each other. 🥺
Hurrem was cunning like a fox, dangerous like a lioness, ferocious like a tigress, heart of stone for her enemies but at the same time caring, loving and helpful for her family, friends, servants, well wishers. She was the one who did lot of charity for the poor citizens, helpless women n children.
Hurrem n Sumbul had a long lasting friendship.

Ok. Now I'm crying. This was sad but ended with them talking like old friends. I know he does come back but still sad to see him leave. I am so happy she let him he free.

Hurrem leaves her palace to visit her humble and faithful servant. 😘❤ Her love for all her faithful servants, who serve wholeheartedly, is priceless.
Hurrem always rewarded people who worked for her. After years of being the servant Gulnihal was married off and she could start a new life as a free woman. She brought back to her service Daye Hatu when she was banished from palace. Hurrem knew that Daye won't have any chance to live outside the palace in the normal way - she was too old to find a husband or a job. When Gul was banished from palace Sultana gave him so many gold that he could easily start new life, even without job. If Nazli and Nilufer have not been killed by Hurrem enemies, Sultana would find good husbands for them after years of loyal service.
The Actor who plays Sumbul is excellent!

I love this portrayal of true friendship. Sumbul is Hurrem's greatest friend.
I rather liked the change of Hurrem as young she was to be firey and a fighter but as older you get to see she is not as firey and fighter but way more reflective and wise
