I've been trying for months to find them… Incredible hardware stores that I've known for years who have everything don't know what these are and don't have a clue as to where they can get them.
After the 1st time, the person closing the door wil push/pull with much more force & maybe the slamming noise is worse.

Will prevent the door from slamming but it will slam back into your face! There's another product that absorbs the force of the slam and that's a much better idea.

My five year old had a door slam close by the wind just last week. It has broken the bone and required 7 stitches to reattach the top of her finger. I really need to get this product! Is it available anywhere? I cannot find it.

How would the hinges know if someone's fingers are at the door jamb or not? I guess this is just a device that doesn't allow you to close it fast in the last 3 or 4 inches. It has to close gently from there.

This is a good way for parents to remove a potential way of kids letting them know that they're angry and/or relieving said anger,especially if they already tried actually talking to the parents about whatever problem and ended up being dismissed/interrupted before they could finish speaking
A better method is to spank their butt for slamming the door. If that doesn't work, you can always take the door of their bedroom off and then they just won't have a door. Privacy is a privilege for children they can lose by not controlling their temper.
@@cmnr8487 My point was that FORCING your kids to behave the way you want by removing the door isn't a wise idea. IDK if you have kids,but some people just dismiss what their kid has to say,even if the kid wants to share something that they enjoy,or needs to have a serious talk about a problem they're having. If that kind of thing consistently happens,then yeah,the kid's gonna get frustrated and possibly start slamming doors,because THEY ALREADY TRIED TALKING IT OUT,but the parent WOULDN'T LISTEN

A good parent would rather hear their angry teen/or pre-teen slamming their door, than to have their child silently shut the door and kill themselves out of desperation from not being heard or understood.
