    Louise, first off...that piece of wood is so surreal, and I for one, can't wait to watch you transform it, into the beautiful end results!!! Now I am appreciative of your explanation of how you get the "transparent" paint 😊 I was completely fascinated with the cutout of the one flower, that fit down into the hole on the wood, with the small tips flowing downward, just amazing ☺😍 you work so tediously, and with complete confidence, as you are a true "Fluid Art Artist"!!! So gorgeous, thanks so much for teaching us such a beautifully done creation!!! I appreciate you, Louise 🤗☺❣💯

      Wow Jude, you’re blowing my doors off!! Thank you so much for such a voice of confidence, honestly sometimes I’m not sure what I’m doing. I’m just doing what comes naturally I guess! 😂. I take some time looking at a piece before I even start to work on it. I have a wood piece right now that I have sitting on my fireplace that I’ve been staring at trying to figure out what I’m going to do with it. That’s half the fun is just looking at some thing and imagining what can be done with it. No doubt, though this particular fusion art form does take a little more effort but it’s a more intimate process. I feel it’s well worth it.

      Thank you, Dee🧡, here’s a little fun fact about black bears, I extracted this from the website North American bear Center…
      “Black bears have killed 61 people across North America since 1900. This no longer worries me. My chances of being killed by a domestic dog, bees, or lightning are vastly greater. My chances of being murdered are 60,000 times greater. One of the safest places a person can be is in the woods.”
      in my experience with these guys, they’re very gentle don’t wanna be bothered and don’t wanna bother you. They just want to live their lives with peace, which is something I think we all can learn.!

    I would be ecstatic as well - that is a beautiful work of art, Louise. I’d love to see the resining process. Using pieces of the natural world, bringing them back to life, so to speak, with your fusion technique, is just the best form of art out there, in my opinion. Especially when it’s functional fusion . You earned the FF seal of approval . 😂❤

    • @LouiseMcKayArt
      @LouiseMcKayArt  7 месяцев назад +2

      Hi Alice, 😘I haven’t shown the resining process, because I’m so focused on making sure I get every nook and cranny. It’s very hard for me too. Have the video going at the same time. Maybe someday I will and I feel more comfortable, it is a little bit of an effort, but I do it all by hand, and then spread it out with my hand until I get everything covered. Reconstituting these natural pieces of wood back into life is a real joy for me.🧡

      These creations are very multi-layered, and I have a series and a playlist for them where I covered different phases as we go going in more detail about resining, sanding, preparing, painting…I can’t cover everything all at the same time in one video it would be a two hour video. If you go back through my playlist, ruclips.net/p/PLD3gEym1bn-MzpInaGRMrrqhCyHf9iIbd&si=PMJJlw7dm6s4P_11
      you’ll get more details. The actual paint creation was on a silicone mat, that after drying u applied to the natural wood. I also show how I removed the paint skins from the silicone mat and prior videos.
      All of my fusion pieces are from wood finds in the woods where I live I used to approximately 3 ounces of resin.

    Hi Louise, I have a question. I have some chalk paint that I've never used yet and I was wondering if that would work for the pillow?

      Honestly Marcia, I’ve never used chalk paint, so I don’t know.
