- Thank you for joining me for this bright and crazy Clock Creation with a twist from all I've learned creating FUSION pieces. It's potentially a jewelry holder as well! As usual there are lot of tips but in this video.
Big news about teaching at the Fluid Art Boutique. If you are interested and able to go, here is the link, click on DC event and that will get you into that particular event. I’d love to see you in person.

@@LouiseMcKayArt 😘
I think my brain went on vacation. Either that, or I got mesmerized by the colors. It's a fantastic style of free art. Combinations of the natural, with the colorful. Enjoy your self as you go about teaching, and enjoy the sites.
Thanks Ozwald, 🩷this is definitely a freestyle Art for sure. I absolutely love playing with Fluid art and natural wood at the same time but accommodation. I’m hoping between now and August my nerves set a little little little little little bit lol😅
Louise aunt, it's incredible.
Love the purple 💜
Absolutely 6
Editing is wonderful 💯
Thank you so much, my sweet niece Aishu. so glad you’re here always lending your support😘😘
Hi Louise - DO NOT be nervous - you are a natural teacher and you are going to do great - so happy for you - so excited for you Louise - Beautiful colors - love this so much :)
Thank you so much Lori, but you know me😳 it’s the organization and prep that’s daunting hopefully the class will just come!
Very clever. I love these pieces because they’re not the run of the mill. Well done.
Ha, 😘no run of the mill here😅, or I try not to. I try keeping it fresh and totally unique!!
Louise, that clock looks absolutely gorgeous. Purple matches your graceful personality perfectly beautiful.
Thank you so much, 😊 Byron, you rock! I really appreciate you being here and supporting both Myself and the other artists. I hang out with!

I love purple!! Love this piece!
Thank you so much, Angelia, as you know, purple and pink or not typically my color scheme, but I had the paints and I had the substrate so I figured I might as well go for it. Thank you so much.💜
Congratulations on the teaching spot!! That is so awesome! Love the idea of the clock and jewelry holder together.
Thanks so much 😘August, needless to say I am a bit nervous, but at least I have the Asheville experience to observe and learn from. Too bad you’re not coming up here for the Fluid art experience.
Lovely bloom and I love the multi functional stand ❤
Thank you so much, 😘Jeanette, it’s just another example of how fluid art is quite fluid and can be used in so many different ways and applications!
Awesome fluid clock,Ms Louise and love the idea of combining with jewellery holder tree artefact 💜💜💜

Thanks so much, Dawn. Well, well, would I be besides Myself?🤣 I appreciate your words of encouragement and reassurance😘
That lime green still behaved shyly but you can see some peeking out. I do love greens and purples together.
Congratulations! You’re going to make some aspiring artists very happy in D.C. I’m proud of you - the invite was well deserved. 👍🏼

Very pretty
Thank you, Carolyn💜💜
This color combination is so pretty. A few days ago I was watching an artist pour on a vinyl record album and thought of you making clocks on CDs.
Thank you, Dee. You actually reminded me I have a record album I could pour on. I just haven’t done it yet!💜

Very interesting piece! I think it works great holding jewelry and the clock at the same time. Would look great on a makeup vanity
Thank you, Darlene, it’s crazy. I picked this piece up originally with the idea of making a jewelry holder out of it, but then the Clock came into being and it just seemed to fit perfectly in on it with it😅 thank you so much for being here and your thoughts😘
Congratulations, Louise, o think those that take your course are very lucky. Wish I could go, but it is not in the cards this year. Have fun! This piece is beautiful, so functional & pretty
Thanks so much Anita, it’ll be a blast once I get past the, “What have I gotten myself in to?” 🤣
Louise wow congratulations on your classes. I wish I was able to make it but not in my budget. Hopefully you can do Dallas FAE. That is the ones I go to because we are able to drive and stay with our daughter. This is so pretty. Great job.
Thank you so much, 😘Carolyn, and I wish you could go as well, but I understand. Have fun at FAE🩵

Love how this turned out so beautiful 😍 I’m excited that you’re all going to Washington DC. That’s where I’m from I now living in Florida. I may make a trip there this August to take a class from you. I just have to get my confidence up. I watch all these videos, but I’m afraid to show up for the class
Thanks so much😘😘 Gerri, maybe we both can get our confidence up together, I’d love to have you in a class!! The class will be exactly for that, building confidence thru understanding and successes!!! The classes would be for you to grow, not to impress your neighbor!!! Don’t be hard on yourself!!😊if you’re able please come, it’ll be lots of fun!!!
Beautiful as always. Re: the fluid art boutique event - I can find the schedule but not the cost of the classes.

If you Resin this beautifull piece Louise how do you keep that hole in the midle? Or do you drill that later on.
Hi Lydia😘 I do tape the back, so the hole is taped over in the back. I paint the whole thing don’t worry about the hole fill filling in. Then I resin again, not worrying about the hole because I will drill it back out later after the resin has sat a day or so,
I do a lot of functional art myself
Great, I personally think it’s the only way to go! That’s great you create that way too!
If I were going to use a cd to make a clock, how would I fill the hole temporarily to place and blow out the paint? I’ve tried it as is and it always gives me trouble. Thanks so much for the wonderful ideas you’ve brought up!
Sue, good question, just tape the back. I have a tutorial from a while ago ruclips.net/video/c1ZW3YRX_yE/видео.html And while I don't do everything the same, (I've simplified) it shows you around 8 or 9 minutes the back etc. Maybe I need to do a full tutorial again with all my learnings. hope this helps
@@LouiseMcKayArt Thank you! I also thought about melting a little candle wax in the center after I’ve secured the cd onto a 2oz plastic cup turned upside down on my turn table. That should make the wax almost level for the blow out.
@@suelynpeters9661 you can do that, I always resin mine, so what I do is I always leave the tape on, resin, drill, remove the tape finish the back apply the clock mechanism.
you want to make sure that your clock mechanism will have a place to secure to and that is too big for a normal small clock mechanism. If the hole is too big the clock mechanism will have to secure to and flop around… I don’t know if the wax will be supportivejust something to think about
❤ love this ❤
Thank you so much, Roberta💜💜
