  • Research by civil society groups has revealed that undocumented South Africans and foreigners in Mpumalanga are being denied access to healthcare. Ritshidze project coordinator Ndivhuwo Rambau says undocumented foreigners do not report these cases because they fear they will be reported to the police.

Some of us live in the Asias as South Africans and we all need legal documentation to access everything (healthcare, banking, cell phones etc). Everyone prioritizes their own, why can’t SA do the same?

Exactly they are right ...the right to access to health care yes will be given but do carry all correct documents ...u need a referral letter especially if u a taking ARV's u can't just give any regimen of ARV agents..you presenter have you ever worked in the clinic never I assume...fuck constitution..u'll just want to give everyone all our resources meanwhile we pay taxes in order for all these resources to be available. This just passes me off really

@@jameskillu9171There 7s something called a temporary ID. And you only have to take your papers tge 1st time after you have a file it is fine. Our budget for clinics & public hospitals do not count illegal foreigners. So we will not have enough meds for S,Africans. We cannot support foreigner. They should pay for public health services especially if not a emergency.

Throughout the world, foreigners are forced to comply, but in SA they’re treated with such fragility because South Africans fear being called xenophobic for speaking out. If they’re illegal, they should not be assisted in any way! WE are tax paying citizens and we do this for the betterment of our people, not to be burdened by delinquent neighbours.

All over the world you have to provide documentation. If we travel to other countries, we have to have health insurance. Digitalise the health service and everyone has to register first time with ID, your ID gets scanned into the computer and no matter what part of SA you present for health care you face and ID is in the system, so you do not have to carry ID at every visit. Those South Africans who do not have ID need to go get ID and stop making excuses.

These groups should rather be campaigning to get everyone to register for IDs or find out why they arent at the moment.
