The 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT is an exceptional machine that strikes a balance between reliability and style, backed by a solid 4500 miles of daily riding experience in all weather conditions. My experience with this bike has been overwhelmingly positive, and even after the initial 3500-mile service mishap-where the mechanic failed to properly install the O-ring on the DCT filter, causing a slight oil leak-I’ve had no significant issues. The dealership quickly resolved it, replacing the O-ring, and the bike has run flawlessly ever since. From a performance standpoint, the Rebel 1100 is a beast. I ride 36 miles a day to and from work, and it handles freezing cold, rain, and daily wear with no signs of strain. The automatic DCT is incredibly smooth and intuitive, making commuting effortless. It’s clear that Honda engineered this bike with long-term reliability in mind. Unlike its smaller sibling, the Rebel 500, the 1100 offers a level of power that keeps things exciting, and I highly recommend spending the extra money for the upgrade if you’re considering both models. The Rebel 500, while great for beginners, will leave you wanting more power in just a few months. In terms of style, I have the front fairing and windshield, which give the bike a bold, aggressive look-so much so that people often mistake it for a Harley Davidson when they see it from the front. The few aftermarket parts I’ve added, including Burleigh brand foot pegs and a brake lever, enhance its functionality. However, I wish there were more affordable aftermarket options to customize the bike further. Overall, the Rebel 1100 DCT is reliable, powerful, and versatile, and it’s hard to find any real faults with it after 4500 miles. It’s an ideal choice for daily commuting or weekend cruising, blending practicality with unmistakable style.
I got the 1100 manual this week. I really love the bike. You’re 100% correct on the seat. 20 mins into my 120 mile ride yesterday, I was thinking of looking at Corbin seats. When I got home, I’d decided to buy one, no matter the cost!
It’s a shame Honda didn’t make a softer seat. I have the “upgraded” Honda cross stitch seat and it’s even worse than the stock seat lol. Thanks for watching!
Imho, ride it for a bit, had the same issue, but after putting some miles into it the seat became fine, now i am able ride until the gas tank is empty :) refuel an go again :P no more lower back pain + tail bone
its fun, i started on a navi and then moved up to a 300. then i found there is a whole youtube group of people that did the same thing. good video thanks
I agree the front wobble at high speeds can be helped with stronger wall tires. Also check air pressure. For older bike, check wheel bearing play and shocks and rear wheel alignment. I agree the factory seat is pretty much worthless. But for long rides, I prefer a driveshaft or belt drive.
Nice video... I Love Love Love my 1100T DCT...... But the first thing I did do was reupholster and added a gel insert to my seat. I hated the look of the stock seat. The next thing I did was put on a Coffman's Thunder exhaust. Love it. I hated the stock exhaust. LOL The only cons I can think of right now, and this might just be me. Is that it is easy to whiskey throttle. I've caught myself a couple times. Not pretty. I just have to remember that when I'm parking or duck Walking it, I put it in neutral. I'm 5'3" and I fit great on this bike. Oh I added Rox 2" risers as well. Made a big difference in the reach. Thanks for the great info. I completely agree with you on someone starting out on the 500. Thats a great bike top start with.
I’ve never whiskey throttled the Rebel. I have got on it a little too much on a turn and fishtailed a bit, I won’t do that again lol. Your seat sounds pretty damn comfy lol. Thank you for commenting and watching! 🤘🏼
Yea, you could say that. If you are thinking about getting a Rebel and you’re an experienced rider…my personal opinion would be to just go straight to the 1100. Thanks for watching
I would definitely say the 1100dct can be a 1st bike for a “ Responsible” rider. Leave it in rain mode and learn to ride. Not having to shift really lets a new rider focus more on surroundings and road conditions. I have a 2024 and have taught my two sons 23 & 20 the fundamentals on it. Both now have there license and looking for their own bikes. 500 ninja and Harley. Also have a 2019 groom and they definitely found the 1100 more comfortable to learn on.
Dude, I’m on my second Van in Hines pipe these things keep turning a brownish color. Did that happen to your pipe I bought the van in Hines watching a video but for some reason, I don’t know why the color is turning my bike is stuck
I’ve put about 8k miles on my V&H exhaust and haven’t had one issue. What I can tell you is, email them photos and call them. They have amazing customer service. This I know for a fact! Tell them I sent ya! 🤘🏼
How often do you have to grease, clean and tighten your chain or did you have to do any of them thing as of yet? thanks. I'm thinking about this or a Honda Phantom..
I’ll check the chain every so often. Tightening the chain is easy and i did it at about 6,500 miles. To be honest, I lube it when I think about it but I always lube it after I wash my bike. Always lube the chain after a ride, when the chain is still hot. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
I’m getting this as my first bike. I have nerve problems I’m my left hand so I need an automatic. I am going to college and I am gonna have a 11k budget and I think it makes the most sense.
I got my 24 rebel 1100 3 months ago, first bike ever with no prior experience. My cars transmission blew I had 10k down payment for a car but wasn’t finding anything I wanted because my last car was paid off and I hate payments so I decided to look into bikes as I always liked bikes but didn’t know anything about them. Fast forward I took my msf course and got my bike paid off, I was driving 45 min to work everyday one way and another 45 min way back home so the week I got my rebel I was on vacation from work and i practiced my route at midnight when roads were dead for about 3 nights and just rode around that entire week off from work and had it all in rain mode hitting parking lots and practicing more stuff from the msf course. It took me about 1 month of riding before I put it into sport mode and I was humbled very quickly lol but I managed just fine and now 3 months in almost 4 months I’ve put in 3,588 miles and definitely feel like I made a good choice as starting on the rebel 1100. My only complaints about the bike is it doesn’t handle highway wind too well you can definitely manage it but it honestly makes it unpleasant going above 80 and kinda scary when you hit 90+ I also kinda wish I could get up to 120 but I understand this isn’t the bike for that
So, if you buy Metzler tires and the front fork brace is corrects the speed wobble problem 100% at high speeds. Invest in any type of windshield to deflect the wind, I just took my Rebel from Chicago to Nashville and wind really wasn’t a concern. Also, there’s a guy who just recently works on our ECU’s. He can flash it and the Rebel will gain MORE horsepower and increases top speed to 140! Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼
@@navimaclife thanks for the reply brother been watching since before I got my rebel, I did get the Touring package rebel so it came with the front fairing but I’ll be honest it’s not the greatest so I been eyeing a few other choices. Is there a specific front fork brace you used that you could possibly link?
Actually the brace I’ll be using is from Amazon. Not sure who makes it. Installing it on Friday. I’ll let you know how it is! 🤘🏼 thank you for being a fan of the channel. Means a lot to me!
What’s your thoughts on your mirrors? I like the look compared to stock. Can you see rear traffic as good as the top mounted mirrors? Do you possibly have a link to them?
I don’t necessarily hate the OEM mirrors. I just liked the look of my mirrors 100 times better. I see pretty good out of them too to be honest. I went from Chicago to Nashville like that with no issues. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
The reason I don't subscribe to your channel is because you spend half of the video just faffing around and not actually getting to the point. Also, when you mention the fuel economy and tank capacity and range, you don't give any actual figures. Come on man, I know you can do better than this.
I don’t know if you sent me positive criticism but I can respond back to this in a positive way. As a RUclipsr, we tend to drag certain topics for video length or to keep a viewer watching to the end or close to it. I have plenty of Rebel videos that go over actual specs on the bike. This was specifically a 7k mile review. About how the bike is holding up, handling, and my thoughts. I try to give as many specs/figures when I can but at some point it can tune a viewer out. Subscribing doesn’t just help me out but it helps you out too. RUclips analytics will see who you watch by subscribing and also recommend other channels similar to mine opening your eyes to new content that you may or may not love. 🤘🏼

🥇Video! I got mine on July 20, 2024!! Replaced the exhaust and put a Corbin seat on it!! I love it........
How do you like the seat? 1-10?
I heard the 1100 in rain mode is closer to how the 500 is. Any truth to that?
Yea, you could say that. If you are thinking about getting a Rebel and you’re an experienced rider…my personal opinion would be to just go straight to the 1100. Thanks for watching

My friend owns one and I sat on it and felt I was scrunched up and I am 5’6” I don’t understand it! And my legs only have a 29” inseam?
Not sure how that’s possible? They do make leg extensions that extend your legs forward.
Another wonderful video ❤
You rock! Always appreciate your kind words!
That seat is 🔥🔥🔥 best one I've seen yet
Super comfy too. I might upgrade to a Corbin though….
where did you find the aftermarket seat?
Amazon. It was like $279. It’s really comfortable.
Nice looking bike with the upgrades. I would like to try one someday.
🤘🏼🙏🏻
Love the bike.well done man.😊
🙏🏻 appreciate you

You have great taste sir 🤘🏼
I liked the seat where you get it
It’s just an Amazon seat. It’s more comfortable than stock. But don’t get it wet lol. Thanks for watching!
Great looking bike but I prefer black shiny tank.
What is your favorite mod that you installed?
By far the exhaust! Looks and the sound! Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
Just wish it had a bigger fuel tank
I hear that. And a more comfortable seat of course! Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼
First! 😉👍 --QM

Very tidy for a 7000 mile bike
Bought a rebel 500 three weeks ago (my first bike) bored of it already and swapping for the rebel 1100 on Friday.
You’ll love the 1100. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
@@navimaclife thanks buddy 👊🏼
The Rebel is good if you’re short
What kind of sissy bar is that?
Find it on Amazon. The quality is amazing and even the way it was packaged was insane! Even came with white cloth gloves for install.
just upgraded to a corbin single.. what an ass saver
I’m looking into that seat. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
Poper attire, t shirt!
Always proper 😉😎 thanks for watching!
