Happy New Year!! Thankyou for all the support over 2020, here's to another great year. Wishing you all lots of health, happiness and success in 2021 :) Also..what do you think to this house? Let us know in the comments
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thank you for the work you do! Ground floor , 1st floor, then 2nd floor and so on.... This house would be more affordable yes.... but once you have a bed in those bedrooms not much space left. I DO STILL PREFER TO SEE THE NEW FURNISHED, LUXURY HOMES... HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVE!! ... BUT ONLY UK LUXURY HOUSES....
I guess tiny, carpeted bathrooms are standard in cheaper UK houses. But then again, having carpet in a bathroom has got to be more desirable than not having a bathroom at all.
What about a series of what £250k gets you in North, South, East, Etc? It would be really interesting to do a comparison series alongside your luxury house series across the country. :)
Yeah that’s a good idea, we’re working on some more around the UK at the moment in the price range of £250k then around £500k as well as the luxury ones of course!
If there are three floors and the first floor is on the ground, it can also be called the first floor because it's the first floor. It's just a matter of preference between American and UK English.
Depends on the floor numbering system. In North America, a three storey building has a first floor, second floor, third floor. While in Europe, that same building is ground, first, second.
Love your videos! As a young prospective first time buyer I love the more affordable houses but also find the luxury properties videos so interesting! Also love your more financial videos as trying to learn more about investing!
Matt you’re right (spot on in uk) basement (if there is one?), ground floor, first floor, second floor. Nice tour on a more modest budget, compared to your luxury tours. Great work both 👌
I have seen some building that are built on a slope that have a "lower ground" , "ground" , and "upper ground" floor , because you can enter the building from the ground from any of those floors.
5:25 In my opinion I'd prefer that to be a regular cupboard with multiple doors because I can't imagine it is going to be easy to access the back corner when you have some stuff in there.
Love the odd luxury house, but really appreciate realistic houses anywhere from auction 20k up to semi/detached. Maybes areas that get unfair bad reps but great locations eg coastal like NE
Yes it’s ground floor 1st, 2nd etc etc. It’s nice to see what your money can buy in different parts of the UK, but saying that I like to see what you can get if you’re super rich. A mixture of price ranges are better one thinks. Keep the videos coming 👍
Glad you looking at both ends of the spectrum on price. Yes Matt is right with ground floor first, but Summer is also slightly correct as alot of people say 1st floor is bottom as it makes a tower seem higher with more levels. Love the vids guy's.
Im a young individual looking to buy my first property within the next 2 years. I would love to see affordable house pricing of £200,000 in West Midlands. Thank you again for your content :)
You would brighten it up with your own items, curtains, pictures etc. With the white walls you certainly have a blank canvas to work with. I found it quite light.
Tbf, there are benefits to darker houses. The back of my house where the living room is doesn't get much sunlight, which initially put me off it, but I have since found out that that makes the room really nice and cool, even during heatwaves - a benefit which I have been very grateful for in past years.
It's not that dark. Plus, some benefits to homes with less light include a better ability to sleep during the daylight hours if you work the night shift.
You can definitely get more for £250k in midlands!!! Guess they have to contact a lot of people to find one to film! Definitely like the affordable videos as I’m looking
In Japan, the main entrance level is the 1st floor. For 250,000GBP (35,000,000JPY), we might be able to buy a decent three bedroom/ two-storeys house 90 minutes away from Tokyo. For the same price, we will likely only be able to get a pigeon-hole apartment in central Tokyo. I love British accent so all your videos get a BIG LIKE!
Hi 😊 Love your videos! It would be great if you added the size of the rooms up on the screen or on the description. Thank you for making content on more affordable houses
I love some good first time buyer homes, and maybe some tips on what to look out for when buying your first property? But I also love the really expensive ones/ unique! ❤️
A comparison of what houses you can get for your money up to the 200k mark would be really interesting. We all love to dream but realistically a lot of people can't and probably never will afford houses beyond 200k (at least from my own experience from a working class background). Always like to see what you can get for your money in different areas - overseas your money would probably go much further of course than in the UK.
I’d love to see housing in Liverpool/Warrington (North West), we managed to get onto the property ladder but been interesting to see the property boom in the area think people are easily going to be priced out x
This video was just so unintentionally funny 😂😭 Matt just walking into things coz you guys are used to spacious luxury homes 😂 and not the narrow houses😂
My house is a 3 storey townhouse. The ground floor /front door is at the top of the house with bedrooms at top. We then go down to the middle floor and then down again for the kitchen and living space. It’s built on a hill so they dug out the land. It’s great as from outside the house likes like a bungerlow.
Ground floor, then 1st, 2nd etc etc. It took me a while to acknowledge that though!! I would love to see comparisons across the country on what you can get for £300k for example, like the average price for a ‘normal’ (!!) family. Also, what you can get as a 1st time buyer across the country. But I also love to see houses I can only dream of as well 😂 You do a great job guys and your fun to listen to as well (also easy on the 👁.....both of you, which always helps!!)
My suggestion would be pick a house format, eg semi rural 4 bed detached decent house, then tour 3 or 4 houses of said format around the country comparing the price differences. Enjoying your content👍
It's a good home but the bedroom are small, I like large living rooms, kitchen with lots of storage and large bedrooms to fit a king size bed, 3-4 wardrobes, 3-5 drawers and some extra space.
3:51 - That depends on what floor numbering system you're used to. The North American floor numbering system has the street-level storey as the first floor, whereas the European floor numbering system calls it the ground floor. Sometimes if a basement is largely above ground, it's called the lower level.
This is probably like 300k new build in south? A 4 bedroom version, 3 storey is 360k.. And basically if it’s not a new build then it’s a modest 3 bedroom house which is either terraced or a semi with a modest garden and maybe a small drive/ small garage.
You guys should come to the Isle of Wight and show some of the properties our beautiful Island has to offer. Love your channel by the way. Keep up the great work.
I would like to see a mixture of both luxury and small houses. Small houses exposes us to the kind of house an average person can live, in the U.K and the amount it would cost. While the luxurious houses are more of entertainment and dreams. Cause hey, we can’t be serious all the time and of course we can work towards our dreams
cool , i like your videos , i like the realistic working people home like this , but also like watching the big houses , UK it is ground floor then 1st then 2nd floor but i sometime use both , calling ground floor 1st floor
Like seeing a mixture of price points luxury and affordable :) I’m mostly interested in London and south properties rather than midlands and up north x
Could you please do affordable house tours in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Also, luxury house tours in Prestbury and Alderley Edge would be interesting! Really enjoying your videos!
This house seems really expensive for the Midlands!! A brand new 3 bedroom house over 3 floors will sell for about £150-200k where we are (Staffordshire) yet this is an older property!! Property prices are nuts, how are people meant to get onto the property ladder?? I love your tours, some of the houses are amazing, the knoll in Nottingham is my fave, it is perfect!!....
I defo think you should look in wales. I bought a 3 bed (used to be a 4 bed), with 2 batbrooms. 3 double rooms all very big. With a huge kitche and diner and a massive separate living space with a huge garden for 150,000.
I think you should view Oculus house in Barking, i rent here but i feel its overpriced but also its a round building shape with roof gardens! I think viewers would love your opinion on that.
Yes, here in France we say the same, as in Germany or Italy. I think it's an European way. I didn't know for Australia but as it is commonwealth that makes sense 😉
Just saw Castle Eden with you two so this is quite a contrast 😂 In the U.S. it is: 1st floor, 2nd, & 3rd floor. Our ‘ground floor is called the 1st floor. Love your videos! ❤️ I enjoy whatever home you are showing.
Its nice looking at nice big expensive houses, but if people are looking to buy then its not very realistic in most cases. So houses in this range are more in price range that is affordable 👌
This is a nice little investment property. Some things I didn't particularly like were the layout of the ground floor (though it's an older house so it makes sense) and the questionable carpeting in the bathrooms. Rooms were decently sized though.
I'd prefer the presentation of more affordable houses, even though it's also interesting to have a look at houses one will almost never be able to afford them
Kitchen that looks unused is described as 'fairly old'. Lol. I like downstairs loos. They age proof a house and are good for children too. The floor that you enter from ground level is called the ground floor (in the UK). As with much modern house design the rooms (bedrooms especially) look rather small when you think of furniture that will need to go in them and the sloping roofs at the top of the house restrict usable room space also. The amount of storage space is not great. We didn't get much of a view of the garden but this is a decent starter home at a good price from a Londoner's perspective.
More like this ones people can realistically one day afford lol living in london you can barely get 1/2 a bedroom so keen on understanding how it’s outside
Agreed. I recently made a purchase (first time buyer) in London Harrow. £370k for 1 bed flat new build. Around 450-470sqft (can’t remember exactly). Makes me sad that I could get bigger and better property outside London but that’s what you get I guess choosing London
Yes Matt u right it’s classed as the ground floor then first floor. But I agree with summer it should be first floor 😂 As for your question yes nice seening luxury properties but its just as nice seening more properties at this price range also. Keep up the good work guys👍🏻
UK is GF, 1st fl, 2nd fl. this same property in Welsh Valleys ( new build) is £170,000 but £250,000 minimum in Cardiff. A house is worth what people will pay for it.
Hi, Showcasing a variety of properties is always good with the different layouts/ decor. NB: I'm not sure about carpet in the bathroom or toilet. Also, property in different areas in the UK and overseas from £250,000 and upwards work. Although the vlogs I watch a great deal are of properties priced at £600,000+
If I could buy it, I'd probably re-do the whole interior layout and that because it seems like it's "too small" for that price so I'd make it bigger by opening it all up more.
Matt is right - in the UK it's ground, first and second and in the US it's first, second and third. In the South that would probably be a bit more expensive, although garden seems very small here. But I wouldn't expect bigger garden for that price. Love your videos guys, keep up great work.
Happy New Year!! Thankyou for all the support over 2020, here's to another great year. Wishing you all lots of health, happiness and success in 2021 :) Also..what do you think to this house? Let us know in the comments

@@TheLuxuryHomeShow I guys it is ground floor first but in other countries 1st floor is the ground. Great videos guys amazing channel 🤗
Carpet in the bathroom is definitely a big no no
Haha agreed
I’d say carpet in general is a big no no

This house is so overpriced.. seriously feel bad for people trying to get onto the property ladder!! Quarter of a million doesn't go far today!!
Exactly with lazy refurbishment putting carpet everywhere yuck
Overpriced? Really!
A house like this would cost at least 350K in the area of London I come from. 🤨
@@rb7007 yes area makes a lot of difference!.. I like your Spittalfields area Princelet Street etc .. they are beautiful!!!
Yes it's overpriced, we sold a house similar to this last year for £270k in Essex on the outskirts of London
Overpriced? In London £250k will get you a box if you’re lucky
I’d love to see a variety of properties. Affordable and dream properties please in a variety of areas. Thanks guys
Ok no worries!
So happy you’re doing tours of houses in the £250-400K range. Very helpful! Would love to see some properties in the Kent area 😊😊
Entrance floor should be the ground floor. 1st floor technically means a floor built above ground level. So matts right on this one 😃

Agree with you. That's what I have learnt.
My man it doesn’t have a lift. So, there is no ground floor. There is first floor ONLY.
Depends on the floor numbering system. In North America, a three storey building has a first floor, second floor, third floor. While in Europe, that same building is ground, first, second.

You would brighten it up with your own items, curtains, pictures etc. With the white walls you certainly have a blank canvas to work with. I found it quite light.
I agree. This house seems so closed in and dark. The floor plan is very badly designed in my opinion

New developments - flats especially in Manchester would be good, greater London too with nearby transport links
Excited to see these more affordable house tours!
In HK, it is same as in UK. Ground floor, 1st & 2nd & so on. Another similarity is we deliberately skip inauspicious No., such as 4, 13, 14 etc

Cambridge city is expensive, but homes in the wider county are relatively cheap compared to London and some other counties.
Please upload within 200,000 price limit . Thanks. Doing a great job 👏 🙌
I like the more reasonable priced houses x
I love to see affordable house prices
Its nice looking at nice big expensive houses, but if people are looking to buy then its not very realistic in most cases. So houses in this range are more in price range that is affordable 👌
This is a nice little investment property.
Some things I didn't particularly like were the layout of the ground floor (though it's an older house so it makes sense) and the questionable carpeting in the bathrooms. Rooms were decently sized though.
As our lives have shifted to being able to work from literally anywhere, it’s really cool to see what our budget could get us in other countries.

Hi,
Showcasing a variety of properties is always good with the different layouts/ decor.
NB: I'm not sure about carpet in the bathroom or toilet. Also, property in different areas in the UK and overseas from £250,000 and upwards work. Although the vlogs I watch a great deal are of properties priced at £600,000+
1st floor, 2nd floor …3rd floor….that’s how in the US..I love it…small and tidy, very clean and very livable and affordable
If I could buy it, I'd probably re-do the whole interior layout and that because it seems like it's "too small" for that price so I'd make it bigger by opening it all up more.
Absolutely crazy prizes for the amount of space you get. For around the same price you could get a 5 bedroom detached house where I live.
Matt is right - in the UK it's ground, first and second and in the US it's first, second and third. In the South that would probably be a bit more expensive, although garden seems very small here. But I wouldn't expect bigger garden for that price. Love your videos guys, keep up great work.
Always ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd etc
Price prob reflects on the area as no drive and not a very big garden
So nicely renovated, this would easily go for $200.000 in Pittsburgh, U.S.
