Jonathan Pie is the comedy sensation who satirises the world of politics and the media. A frustrated news journalist best known for venting his spleen in unguarded “off-camera” rants which have garnered him millions of fans worldwide, this satirical character’s second live show sees him attacking both sides of the political divide.

Delighted to see Tom Walker breaking out and being a success. This guy is more spot on than most straight political commentators when it comes to today's politics. Might be because he's happy to attack either side of the political aisle when they behave stupidly.

He has two writers, one of whom is a lefty, one of whom is centre-right, which is why he ends up such politically inconsistent shouty-man material.
I take it that 'politically inconsistent' means 'doesn't follow a hive mind slavishly'.
Hard as it is to believe, it is in fact possible to criticise your own wing in politics.
No, I mean he literally follows two contradicting political philosophies at once. The same as how TV shows can be inconsistent if they have different episodes from different writers.
What I like about pie is he doesn’t have an agenda and he can equally criticise (joke about) both sides of the aisle

@@hux2000 There is however a way of classifying Ideologies as either right or left regardless of the amount of parties. On top of that Britain effectively has a two party system due to the awful first past the post voting system we have, basically forcing citizens to vote for either Labour or Tory.

It’s an act anyway, he plays the part of a liberal bbc reporter who’s frothing at the modern world’s absurd extremes and the fact that he’s not allowed to say the truth during his reports. It’s a good act!
That many would label him far-left is proof of one of the main themes he always tries to get across in his videos: that we have become so polarised in the last few years, we can only view events through a binary spectrum. You are either far-left or far-right and any position in between that has become unthinkable.

Everyone wants things to fit the narrative of 'good' and 'bad', instead of being reasonable and looking at everything from an unbiased central viewpoint and just labeling people as their own version of 'bad' instead of trying to understand other peoples viewpoints. There's literally no difference from an irrational left-winger calling someone a nazi because they made a joke about how many genders some people claim there are, and an irrational right-winger calling someone far left or a commie because they made fun of a Trump tweet. When in reality there's a large margin who maybe even finding none or both offensive, still don't 'get' offended and find them both funny.

It wasn't even his first try in 2016, he ran in 2000 as an independent candidate.

I like it how when Pie says "they're, there and their" and "two, to and too" that the first and third of each tweet that shows on the projector is the same. You have to pause the video at exactly the right time to see it but it's true
The full show is well worth a watch, the guy is brilliant, whether you're on the same plane politically you cannot deny the talent.
The brainpower exhibited is frightening,always maintaining a huge ratio of rant, a torrent of tirade, a tsunami of tsuperstuff...

Freakin wish I could have traveled to see him in here in the states. The American version of this (to some degree) I think was George Carlin. No holds bar, attack of both sides, attack of incompetence and lack of morals. George was more topical, but his political portion was a beautiful tear down of the parties

George Carlin was the Boss of poltical satire and wit, with a memory like a machine gun......sadly missed.... Im English, rarely find any american comedian funny, but IMO George is still the best comedian ever, followed by Bill Hicks - then possibly Frankie Boyle, This Jonathan Pie is a great character by Tom Walker...

I'm somewhat pro-Trump, but I enjoyed this, because I'm a reasonable person who sees Trump as a bit of a buffoonish blowhard, but with appealing and sensible policies for the most part. The die-hard Trump supporters who think the sun shines out of his arse and he's the greatest president ever are truly unbearable though.

Also suicide is very common with transgenders and in the military. Why would the military want to boost those numbers. Being in the military isn't about the individual it's about the team.
