I love how humble and honest you are in this video! As a new washer, I have been going through similar situations, and always learning with each job. Loving the content keep it up.
Setting customer expectations is always very important. I'm sorry you had to learn this way but at least now you know your communication will be spot on in the future! Also take the chance when communicating these other problems (Oxidation, rust, oil, wood) as an opportunity for an upsell. "Well for an additional X I can get that oxidation and efflorescence off, same with the oil stains in the driveway" and before you know it you upsold him on three or four other different things
Yes, I definitely learned that and I was including all that oxidation, And stuff into the original price without even upselling. learning that this is all an upsell was huge for me. Definitely setting expectations on my future clients and customers. I appreciate the comment a lot. And I appreciate the support! Learning and growing, moving forward!
@@jonesblueline This whole business is a learning process my man. I admire you for getting out there and doing and not just talking. Check out Southeast Softwash for chemicals though. They have top of the line chems for EVERYTHING. Oxidation, efflorescence, degreaser, gutter brightening (those tiger stripes you see will disappear) brushless Oxidation ect. I charge $3sq/ft for Oxidation removal so it can be a SUPER profitable upsell. Good luck boss! I'll sub and keep up with your journey. 🤙
@@brentosburn3422 Thanks for the sub and I will keep the content coming. I have seen their stuff and I will probably be ordering from them soon. I saw the video they put out about the tiger stripes. Awesome stuff they have.
You definitely ran through the gamut of potential issues with that job, lol. That being said your head is right in that you need to be able to identify potential issues and set expectations. If as you set those expectations, verbal and in writing, and you still sense that the customer is expecting more from your service then you need to move on. I know it's hard to turn down business especially when you're new but you have to do it. The work you were tasked to do was on a level 9 in terms of difficulty and hopefully those types of jobs aren't the norm in your market
@@colonialfiend I am definitely moving on in the future. The newness is wearing off and I am more selective as I move forward. Thank you for the support!!!!
He was a terrible customer lol but great job man I also have a pressure washing business so I completely understand what you’re going through but just grow from it.
