I hear you on skills stacking. My degrees are in history and government, but never went to law school because I knew I’d be bored. I work in the tax industry, and everyone said I should get my CPA license. Too much stress.
I like to think skills stacking gets you to be a conceptual thinker, able to make connections across many bodies of knowledge.

100%. I declined business school offers because I didn't think the money required for that was worth it (however, I did get a technical degree instead). Took the money to make down payment on a couple of houses instead and started a few businesses. Some wins some fails. But the experience was great. You are right on joining country and other private clubs. I was too cheap to do that. Having the exposure to successful people is worth a ton more than sitting in classes doing excel based on what textbooks tell you to.
I have also traveled the world. It's not worth to wait till you are old to do that. There is nothing wrong with traveling when you are old, but the experience is different.

Love the skill stacking, doing this now, though I didn't realize this is what it's called. Even with two or three skills the difference in momentum is noticeable.
Started collecting passport stamps before twenty with some time in the military. So many wonderful memories and stories. Nothing quite like connecting with the locals in a faraway place. My most recent trip I made a point of finding local swing dancing groups in Berlin, Tokyo, and Singapore - there's nothing like a shared joyful experience to connect people and cultures.
Buying knowledge, so many great options for this one compared to 20-30 years ago, it's like drinking from a firehose!

I love this channel as I came upon it through another investing channel. This beautiful woman gives the most practical common sense ideas and mindset. A lot of channels show you all the unrealistic-non-practical ideas.
She doesn't think she is above anything or anybody. She gives advice and ideas that are not only practical but very applicable ways to make money. I can't say enough about her.
I, for instance, stumbled upon this little side hustle no one would think of she would appreciate. It's basically furniture flipping, but I buy table sets and refinish them and sell them. I make anywhere from a $150 to $200 profit plus a side hustle.
Anyway, I've subscribed to her newsletter and am still binging on her videos for days now. Thank goodness for this channel.

I'm known for being 1/5 money, 1/5 hype man, 1/5 teacher, 1/5 networker, and 1/5 skilled driver. Now, I run a company with a couple guys who used to work at FAANGs flipping cars, depositing that into real estate investing, getting rental money to flip more cars. Etc etc

Me 5 years ago: bought a small convenience store, went hyper focused on offering international ingredients for local immigrant residents and community, turned profit, bought 2 more.

Thank you for speaking out against the "rent gurus." We had to sell our house and move into an apartment in another city, so we went back to paying rent at $2400 a month?! It's way more expensive than a mortgage. This same apartment was $1200 - $1400 in this area five years ago, except we don't get to keep any of that appreciation or ever finish having payments. We're gonna have so much money back in our bank account when we buy a house, much less when we finish the payments.
