Was playing ret in pvp in cata. I remember a twin peak, where a was demolishing the entire ennemy team and a ret on the other side was demolishing my team, when we were done killing everyone we were duelling by the bridge. Good old days.
I think that people underestimate Enh Shaman, it has a very large burst, good constant DMG, and great survability if you know how to use it, as Enh you are very strong 1v1 and when carrying the flag, I don't understand why people underestimate this spec so much, I created my own Enh Shaman, and I haven't played anything that strong yet (except the rogue)
Decent flag carrier, but it’s for casual BGs, you still have better options for that role, and the survivability isn’t that good, it’s one of the worst in the game, yet overall it is a spec that can go super-far in terms of rating and also 1v1
Ret and dk are always good choices in cata pvp. Back in cata retail my cousin and I would play arathi basin and go straight to blacksmith. I was pally he was dk. We'd tell out team to leave us alone. We would hold it down 2v4 and 2v5 sometimes. Glorious

I play Frost DK, because I like the "fantasy" of being one, and boooy i'm having so much fun in whitemane, despite the "let them win meta" I went from "I suck at PvP" to "Nice, got another flag"

jop, na Whitemane ma stretneš teraz veľmi často...Balance je super, hlavne na BGčka a 3v3, keď naDoTkuješ všetkých, ale má tiež dosť vysoký skillcap, takže tam to chce veľa hrať, než sa to človek naozaj naučí využiť celý jeho potenciál, a zrovna pracujem na ranged/caster tier liste, ale bude to dosť práce
I'm playing an arms warrior this expac and kind of struggling with what I should play in Cata. I started playing a sub rogue as an alt for the first time as well, which the playstyle has felt really hard to get used to trying to get resets etc. (though rogue has always been a main/main alt in PVE). I have played feral druid as well in pvp but just never in arenas. Any advice for what might be the easiest class to transition given that arms fall off big?? Thanks and keep up the great content!!
Maybe a DK, frost is also pretty lackluster, but if you could play unholy, that’s very well performinh and also pretty similar in playstyle to warrior, definitely closer than feral or rogue would be

Yeah, I was kind of wondering if UHD could be a good proxy because there's not a lot of CC'ing to be done but you have some kicks, high dam, are beefy and survivable, and gameplay is mostly zug. I do love me some rogue pve so it might be a tough choice. I guess I have to figure out if I just need to git gud at rogue or play something more forgiving like my current warr. Hmm...
I think you underestimate Arms Warrior - ofc it is my subjective opinion. I feel like it has unlimited potential if you switch stances correctly with good macros, and use DPS CD in the right time :) But overall I totally agree with your Tier list! :)

i know its an old video, just wanted to point out that arms warrior can acces gag order (3sec silence), wich greatly improves their viability in arenas if u know what you are doing, i would scale it like 1 tier to pair it with enha just for that reason, other than that is an ok video
Both classes are great for PvE, rogue is much better for PvP, and for racials - humans are the best for PvP, but in PvE racials don’t make such a huge difference
May i ask do we wait for another Cataclysm server this year or is it Whitemane the only viable now? I want to try Cata with no Pay to Win shop and with people. I play Warmane and i got sick of overgeared people who are not worthy to have their gear. Raiding became a clown show. Whitemane sounds good, i don't mind the crossfaction gameplay but i feel that for example an orc having "Arcane Torrent" destroys the race's identity. I don't like choosing my racial. What are my options?

one melee class that is in my opinion the easiest to play is Frost Death Knight, on any expansion, but it usually doesn't perform as well in PvP, unfortunately...second may be an arms warrior or an unholy DK, although they are already a lot more complex
Do you know Unholy DK was S+++ Tier again, similar as in original Wrath S5 in cataclysm and its first season S9? Well amost, unholy dk pet and dot dmg got nerfed by almost 50% each, mid season, of course, after this, rogues completely took over. If a class is slow and lacks cc, you only gonna win with more dmg than anyone else, take this away and GG. I think the necrostacks helped me get afloat back in cata, could cover full hp bars with healabsorbs, thats exactly the reasion why to play unholy in cata, its unique its powerful, it works.
it's bad, I heard from 1 person that he pulled it off to a relatively high rating and he played some strange two-handed build as prot paladin, but I have never seen prot pal do any good in any kind of PvP on Cataclysm myself

Frost DK is amazing for BGs and best comp would be with a holy paladin, you could theoretically also play it with a ret paladin or any other healer but h pal is the best

Sry but imho Arms War is Best spec and class in Cata for pvp, only mages are threat, but with proper cd managment everything is possible. Was Grand Marshal in no time, killing 8-10 in Rated BGs solo, Warlocks were free victory rushes and I ate 3 rogues at the same time with lowest resilience possible with Cataclysmic gear, no pocket heals, nothing. Maybe it's just me, I'm playing warr for over 15yrs and was highest ranked on my realm.
why does everyone sleep on titans grip pvp its OP as fuck insane burst great self heals and survivability when you throw a shield on to survive you keep a two hander in and can still sustain dmg on the target people have no idea what they are missing out on get enough crit and throw a badass mastery trinket on to take you to 90% dmg incrase when enraged and your burst is better than everyone else in the game
fury has some of the best burst damage during CDs in the game, but has poor mobility and will get CCed during that window making him useless with the lackluster sustained dps it has
@@MEYTRIX sustained dps isnt worse than arms tho and its not that hard to make sure your not cc'd during burst it can be sometimes but thats why you have teamates, i havnt really mesed with it this g around tho if im honest and things are def diff than og cata but in og cata i sold 2's runs for 2000g a win and i would solo 2's as a fury warrior now i didnt win every single one but i won most of them prolly 75-80% its kind of like how people slept on prot pvp in wrath with a proper build your deleting people

And avenging wrath is dispelable. It's useless in pvp. Almost every class can dispel. And they do. Mage steal. Priest purge. Hunter tranq, sham purge, lock felhunter, legit 90% of the meta classes remove dst shiet
Druids can’t, paladins, DKs, warriors, rogues…and getting Wings dispeled is an amateur mistake - that is why you have other buffs on you, CC abilities, even bubbles or LoS
@MEYTRIX I understand how to avoid it Buts it's not realistic It's RNG at best. When RL-X is 90% of the meta. Already 2/3 can purge/remove whenever they need. There's a reason it's purgability was removed come mop. Shit was stolen half the time instantly and maybe a few globals later if not. You proved my point only a few can't dispel it. But all of those classes play with 1, or more who can.

@@MEYTRIX well yeah and to make up for that we usually went them so we don't have to chase and force them to go defensive we always took that into account and made sure to punish them for it putting stuns into the rogue or feral and bursting them while just healing through the dmg with all of us healing we could easily take matches to the 45min cap for a draw even with feral or rogues on the enemy team
Rogue was made to counter warriors on Cata, that was when head developer’s ex was playing a worgen female warrior and he was playing a human male rogue, so he made sure he wins every single time

Cataclysm PvP isn't exactly a blast-it often feels like you're up against five overpowered specs, leaving the idea of balance in the dust. And poor Fury Warriors, they're struggling in PvE as well. Is there even a reason to play this spec anymore? It seems like they've made Arms the go-to for both PvP and PvE content, which raises questions about the balance between the two specs.

Idk who else, but I certainly have not just SD ptsd, but even more so Vanish ptsd 😢 there’s a good chance both rank 1 teams in 2v2 and 3v3 will contain a sub rogue now on Whitemane’s Maelstrom, and that’s not even Cata season with legendaries yet! (You can call me out on my bs once the arena season finishes and I’d be wrong)

In patch 4.3 all dd must have pve weapon and 1/2 pve trink. Rpala must have 2t13

Reuperte...i remember cata...it healed more over near same enration as enraged regen on war. But they have it perma.

Arms doesn't fall off big, just a huge skill gap needed to play the class correctly

Switching stances makes you lose majority of your rage (depending on talents) so it’s not adviced on Cata anymore

And avenging wrath is dispelable. It's useless in pvp. Almost every class can dispel. And they do. Mage steal. Priest purge. Hunter tranq, sham purge, lock felhunter, legit 90% of the meta classes remove dst shiet
Druids can’t, paladins, DKs, warriors, rogues…and getting Wings dispeled is an amateur mistake - that is why you have other buffs on you, CC abilities, even bubbles or LoS

There's a reason it's purgability was removed come mop. Shit was stolen half the time instantly and maybe a few globals later if not.

@MEYTRIX Warrior/holy pally started to que into dbl prot pally teams and a dk/holy that went for 45mins every time. I quit playing 2s after that lol

Enhancement shaman can delete anyone thats equally as geared as they are people forget how cata pvp was.
this is not about how Cata PvP "was" 13 years ago when nobody could play, this is about how Cata PvP "is" now - with people skill capped and knowing how to play

hey @@kristianhadzhiev4479 yes, RM is still amazing as always, best pvp rogue spec is subtlety, you could also play a ret paladin or shadow priest with a mage, however, none of these 2 are nearly as good as rogue, or a disc priest healer+mage

terrible, 0 damage, decent def, obviously, somewhat decent mobility, but even if you gotta play a tank in PvP - ferals and blood DKs would be far superior to prot warriors

idk man, I never even notice a difference with Death's Advance, to me it seems like I am constantly slow AF vs rogues and ferals
@@MEYTRIX well yeah and to make up for that we usually went them so we don't have to chase and force them to go defensive we always took that into account and made sure to punish them for it putting stuns into the rogue or feral and bursting them while just healing through the dmg with all of us healing we could easily take matches to the 45min cap for a draw even with feral or rogues on the enemy team

Rogue was made to counter warriors on Cata, that was when head developer’s ex was playing a worgen female warrior and he was playing a human male rogue, so he made sure he wins every single time

blood dk claps all none can tell that some random spec is stronger than bdk
I’d like to dedicate a video to the tank specs in PvP too! But BDKs get countered hard by any caster

Looking forward to smashing rogues left and right on my warrior but im also gonna smash everything else on my rogue mage and paladin aswell. Some classes will always be better than others but the most important thing is how good are you and how good is your opponant

well i was lucky to get 5 items on dk and full gear on rog ,not bad no sockets isn't problem i will get those too

Idk who else, but I certainly have not just SD ptsd, but even more so Vanish ptsd 😢 there’s a good chance both rank 1 teams in 2v2 and 3v3 will contain a sub rogue now on Whitemane’s Maelstrom, and that’s not even Cata season with legendaries yet! (You can call me out on my bs once the arena season finishes and I’d be wrong)
