- Marvel's bringing back the Annihilation event title for a mini-crossover this December 2019, Annihilation Scourge! I'm breaking down what comics set the stage for Annihilation, and what characters like Nova, Annihilus, Beta Ray Bill, Silver Surfer and the Fantastic Four have been up to setting the stage for this event. Towards the end of the video I throw in a surprising connection to Marvel history that could set the stage for a very interesting comics event to come.

Annihilation is one of the best Marvel events of all time, so I'm hoping Annihilation Scourge with bookend issues written by Matthew Rosenberg can capture some of the same Marvel cosmic energy. If not, there's always Al Ewing and Juann Cabal on Guardians of the Galaxy in 2020 to look forward to!

Great video. Kind of a bummer to see an event that doesn't look too stellar after getting used to the quality of War of the Realms/HOX/POX/Absolute Carnage. Hopefully 2020 continues that run of strong events.

I am still hoping that the Guardians of the Galaxy run bij Cates gets collected in HC (Trade 1 and upcoming part 2 in one book)
I bet they will, Cates is $$$ for Marvel right now. There's honestly a nice omnibus taking shape down the line!

I do have to disagree with your opinion that old man Hawkeye was a marvel event sequel money grab. It’s pretty good. I agree Civil war II was a disaster
