Instagram compresses and changes your settings to 30fps, so it's better to record with that fps otherwise it will add frames to your footage and make it jittery
So should I record in 30fps instead of 60fps?

Hey Matthew, fan of the channel for some time. Only recently subbed; my fault that. Contents fantastic and appreciate it! Bought my “first” this past 21, a Holy Stone 110G (Great little bird). Learned to fly, learned about a gimbal lol, and have a Mini2 w/ hub + 2 renewed batteries inbound! 😄 VERY excited. Again, if not for your vids, I would have gone SE as it seemed feature rich and cheaper. It’s not that it’s poor, I just learned about the higher ceiling on the 2.
Point is I work in healthcare and obviously stress the f#@$ out daily/nightly. Thanks to you I discovered drone photography/videography! For me, there is just something so peaceful and stress relieving about it. Shoot mostly nature/wildlife sure, but even when I do dilapidated buildings it’s peaceful.

If you use an iphone can you share the best way to take and exported video (onto Mac) and add it to your iphone for use on reels. IG stories would be great tutorial as well.

Great videos. Thanks for making them so educational! In Premiere Pro, I think you can also right click on the clip and select "set to frame size" to get it to match exactly without having to fiddle with the dialing in the scaling. Just a tip that might help.
Would you recommend setting export FPS to 25FPS or 30FPS even if I film in 60FPS?

Hi Matthew, do you notice any difference when you transfer the video from your DJI Mini using the SD card? Or you use your cellphone memory and then your Icloud to transfer it?

Hey! If I use the "Quick Transfer" mode to get the videos from the drone to my phone and then upload it to iCloud I see no difference in resolution or quality compared to the SD card. Just make sure you aren't downloading the lower-quality video previews to the phone and you will be good to go! Hope that helps!

I'm using Avata 2. Recorded in horizontal. Created the sequence in vertical, drop the video and scaling to 90% actually makes smaller and doesn't fill the entire space. To fully cover I needed to scale to 179%. What I did wrong ?
What if you don't use the vertical drone camera setting? So my videos are horizontal and then I have to stretch them into the vertical frame size. Im assuming that will lower the quality?
I show this at 3:05 . It will lower the quality, but it's not really noticeable by the time it's uploaded to Instagram. Hope that helps!

I use Premiere Pro, drone shots are taken with Mavic 3 Classic. I have practicing 1-2 months and still do not understand why my drone videos are not sharp. Settings: 30 fps, ISO 100, shutter speed 1/60, D-Log M and D264.
I do not talk about output on Instagram, even videos before post-editing are not sharp.
How do you get the video into your camera roll on your iphone so that IG recognizes it when you are making the reel?
there is setting for landscape for instgram or other apps to good for export?

Have you had any experience with Mavic Air 2 and uploading reels? I dont believe the Mavic Air 2 has a vertical video setting, and I cant get my drone video to take up the entire instagram screen. (Editing w final cut pro)

Hi thanks great vid but what is the advantage of h 264 on the video format. Can the mini 3 not shoot in h 265 which is smaller file size but same quality?
I had read online that Instagram only supports H.264 compression. Haven't tried H.265 recently, but I shoot in H.264 anyway. Might be worth trying H.265?

Hey Thiago, if you record in 30fps I would keep it at 30fps. I have found that 30fps timecodes down to 25fps fine, but 30fps down to 24fps causes stutters! Hope that helps!

Nobody is explaining but, how you export from pc to Ios and upload a Reel? if i export and donwload the video to my ios device i cant save it and Upload it
I add it to my iCloud drive by logging into icloud.com, then I can download it from the drive app on my phone and upload it. Hope that helps.
You've mentioned to export the media at 20mbps Bitrate for high quality insta reel upload i.e. your media size was 104 mb in this tutorial.

Wow this is very long winded! I just upload 4K 60fps from Camera Roll on my iPhone to Insta and they look pretty good to me. Apart from when you add music as this somehow adds a ton of compression to the video. Do these settings also work with Stories?
How come when I go to the scale, 90 is way to somall and my anchor points are 960 by 540...
