Every time I see a pour over coffee accessory in use, it makes me want a cup for myself, especially with your storm as soundtrack ☺️ (cue slow slurpy sip☕️)
Glad you were able to weather the storm out! I got caught in a big monsoonal storm in the Rockies a week ago and there was so much lightning I thought for sure my tent was going to get hit... It's really stressful when mother nature messes with you and pushes you to your limit.
I need to get caught up on your videos ,I just watched this one , incredible ,last time I watched u were on a boat 🚢⛵,Im going to hike the UP in a few weeks and seen some of your videos on there ,made me go check out your site and seen ur in Argentina, WOW ,can't wait to watch them,Thanks for sharing your amazing stuff
I hope you've been able to catch up! This Argentina series has been one of my favorites to edit. Some of my favorite hikes are coming up in the next few weeks 😁
You are a real trooper! Your positive attitude after the ordeal was inspirational! As I was watching, I was wondering what I might have done in the same situation. One thing that came to mind: put on your rain gear, pack up the tent (easier said than done), hike to a spot that's more protected from the wind and try to set up the tent there. Do you think that would have been a good idea or a terrible idea?
That's a great question! It's honestly hard to say. I think the difficult part was that in the moment I had no idea how much longer the storm would last. If I could go back and re do it knowing then what I know now I think that would have been a great idea. I would have packed up as soon as the wind started and moved deeper into the trees. But at the time I kept thinking that it might die down at any moment. Also another tricky part was that when I first set up camp a lot of the available spots deeper within the trees were already taken, so I'm not actually sure how many options I would have had. I probably could have made something work though. Also now that I'm really thinking about this, with the wind as strong as it was I don't know that I would have actually been able to take my tent down or put it back up. I think it absolutely would have blown away 😂
