Very informative video. I just purchased a used 2020 NX300 from a Toyota dealer. This answered all my questions and showed a few features I did not know! Thank you for posting.
Thank you very very much. I just bought a NX300 and this very well done video is just what I needed. It’s among the best produced videos I have seen. Good job.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked the video, Jim! Congratulations on your new NX! That's what I drive also and I absolutely love it! I hop you will as well :)
Worst time to buy an NX, the new model was right around the corner and it was obvious with the nx being almost the same since 2015. But we also had a 2019 NX300 F Sport, fully optioned out but on lease so now we replaced it with a 2023 MDX
Thanks so much @Andrew! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! We seem to have a quite a few people watching from Australia! That's so awesome! Thanks again for tuning in!
Perhaps the finest automotive video of this Century! Thank you Melissa for your excellent posture, speaking, pronunciation, knowledge and skill in presentation! Your content and well-paced presentation is a model for ALL automotive presenters to follow! I know your husband would agree! :) - Stuart
Great summary of all the features. Just bought an NX300 FSPORT3, and that thing has so many options, I am really happy that you did this video 😊 Thank you!
I knew nothing about Lexus, I purchased my pre opened at used car lot 😊 and they knew nothing about how to about the details , I read up on car but nothing like this video, Thank so muck for all your hard work and training, I love my 2019 Lexus, with video, I love it more. Thanks
I just purchased the 2021 NX in CT. I think the NX is pretty much the same as the 2020 except I believe automatic side mirror closure is now standard. ( which I love ) I'll still watch your 2021 video when you have it up on You Tube. Thanks for a great tutorial.
Congrats, Melissa D! That's awesome news about your new NX! You're correct that there are no major changes from 2020 to 2021 for your vehicle. But it is very cool to have the auto mirrors, BSM and RCTA standard! Very cool!
I love my new 2020 Lexus NX but felt overwhelmed with all the technology inside. However, after viewing this informative video, I feel so much better informed. Thanks so much :) Thumbs up!!
Thank you soooo much. It was just what I needed as I was trying to go through the manual. A really great presentation at the speed and clarity I needed. Cheers from Sunny Island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean.
@stadia gaming Hi Stadia, In some areas there is an Apple CarPlay retrofit available through your Lexus dealership. There is typically a charge for the update and it must be performed by a Lexus Technician or Technology Specialist. It is not available in all countries so make sure to check with your Lexus Service department to see what is compatible with your 2018 NX.
@stadia gaming The MSRP is: $199 MSRP + labor, depending on the dealership. Here's the Lexus FAQ about the retrofit: lexus2.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10409/session/L3RpbWUvMTYyOTk5MjYzMS9nZW4vMTYyOTk5MjYzMS9zaWQvZlV1d3VhT3JiSDJvSEJxZGo0VG1FZGhmaCU3RXlRN0FyQ3dvZF85RjF0TTlQd05KSzZ2MXEyRURYR0RTaFdYSFU3dzlJUWdYRmJ1X3BWaHJ1Nm11Um1jenJCcldZa25zeFB0amx3cU1yY2oybmY2ekVlUWJpM2U5OFElMjElMjE=?p=190,1684 Hope this helps :)
@@TheCircumspectSnug Hi David, The vents should have a dial between them that will open and close the air flow. Make sure that is dialed to be all the way open so air will flow to the rear seats. Also, if your NX has the S-Flow feature. Make sure it it turned off, so air will flow in the whole car at all times. Otherwise it is looking for weight in the front seat or rear doors to be opened and seat belts engaged, etc. to direct air in those areas. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in.
Hi Belle! Thanks so much for tuning in to our channel. Very cool that you're in our area! Hopefully we'll see you at Northside Lexus the next time in you're in for service. :) Thanks again for being here.
Oh my, thank you so much. I was sent away in my "new" Lexus yesterday without being shown anything...not even how to lock and unlock keyless using the handle 😱 You've pretty much explained everything except the mobile charging plate i don't get how it works, it keeps stopping. Can you give me any info? Again thanks so much, all these videos are invaluable 🥳🙌
Hi Tara Kristine Photography! I'm s glad it helped you with your new Lexus! I'm happy to help troubleshoot the wireless charger. Can you help with a little more info: - Model of phone and phone operating system (believe it or not this can make a difference) - Type of phone case - What are the lights doing on the charger when you place the phone on the device? - Are you getting a message on the phone about the charge level? Part of the newer phone operating systems is to help prevent over charging, so it will delay the phone from charging fully if it is resting on a charger as it learns your usage habits. Happy to help, Melissa
Thank you so much for your time and your reply. I am having the car serviced in a couple of weeks. I know I once had a Toyota Tacoma and the gearshifting did not work properly. They reloaded the computer with a new version and it worked perfectly after that. Thanks again
Mam I liked your video so much. Specially the detailing and the pace at which you were explaining were simply superb. It is very informative. Thank you so very much. I was actually confused between IS and NX, but I think I will go for NX. It is packed with tech. Only setback i believe is the infotainment system.
Thanks a lot 😊that really makes my day! How exciting about getting an NX! That's what I drive too and I really love it! Enjoy and thanks again for watching!
@@NorthsideLexus Really i am so excited. I just wanted to ask, how is the infotainment system in this car? How does it compete with Android auto or Apple car play. Is it difficult to control the infotainment system with the touch pad?
Hi :) I think this newest generation of the touch pad is really easy to use and very easy to customize. There are lots of great voice commands to have more functionality while you drive. Android Auto or Apple CarPlay are my preference. I like the option of using the map apps from the phone like Waze or Google Maps and I like the texting feature in AA and ACP. The basic Bluetooth pairing for text is too basic for the amount of texts that I get each drive cycle. AA and ACP are standard on the NAV and Non-NAV versions. If you get the NAV version, you will have the Weather feature in the Info section of the main menu and a much larger screen available on many models. I love the weather info, but I chose a Non-NAV for the lower cost. Since the IS does not have AA or ACP yet, I would lean toward the NX for sure. Hope this helps.
A very informative tour and particularly interesting to see some of the small differences between my European spec NX Takumi and the US equivalent. Many thanks.
Hi @MrFamousicon! Thanks so much for tuning in. I have a video specific to the Touch Pad on my to-do list, but in the meantime, maybe this will help. Try the following sections of this other video tutorial: 2021 LS Tutorial: ruclips.net/video/Hjx2mJGrZvA/видео.html 1:11:27 Touch Pad, Main Buttons (Touch Pad basics are at: 1:12:25) 1:53:33 Touch Pad Tips I hope this helps. Thanks again for supporting the channel!
Thank you for this very informative video!! So much better than having to read through the manual. One thing I haven’t figured out....how do I scroll through the Sirius stations? Do I use the Tuner dial?
hi Mochimochi! Glad it was helpful! To scroll you can use the tuner dial or use voice command if you already know the name or number of the channel. Just say, "Tune to..." and give the name or number. You can also open SAT then open the Channel List or guide and explore channels from there. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Hi just quick questions. 1. What options you mentioned are not available in signature series. 2. How can I customize the navigation with icons that I use. I only have bluetooth and Android play. Thank you
Hi Noordin, Thanks so much for your questions. I am not in sales, so unfortunately I don't have packaging details for you. The navigation customizations will all be done in the app you are using on your phone. Make sure to check the app settings and see what they have available. Thanks again for being here.
Thanks very much for tuning in. Depending on the region you are in, it is possible that there is an Apple CarPlay update for your vehicle through your Lexus Service department. Not all cars are compatible with the update, but it could be worth asking your dealership to look it up for you. They will need your VIN. Thanks for being here.
Hi Infinity8. These are all the NX Tutorials I have: 2022 NX Part 1: ruclips.net/video/B6S21RoEq2E/видео.html 2021 NX: ruclips.net/video/GBQvHzMxH_4/видео.html 2020 NX: ruclips.net/video/A0PYCwsYZRc/видео.html I don't do individual tutorials for the F-Sport versions, just one video for the each car. We don't have any cars called "F3 Sport," but I'm thinking it may be the NX300 or NX350 F-Sport that you are asking about. I hope one of these will helps. Thanks so much for tuning in with us!
Hi CambridgePLettings, I am working on the Deep DIve tutorial video for the 2022 NX models and hope to have it out soon. Unfortunately, I will not have access to an NX450h+ for about a year, but will be doing a video for that model once I'm able to have one for filming. Thanks so much for tuning in with us and I hope the other NX videos I'm working on will help in the meantime.
Hi! Sorry I didn't start doing the full tutorial videos until the pandemic, so 2020 was the first year for them. Hopefully there is enough info to help you with your 2018 NX. Thanks very much for tuning in!
Hi! Unfortunately Driver Position Memory is not standard on the NX. If the buttons "Set" 1, 2, 3 are not in the driver's door, then the package did not include that feature. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Thanks very much for being here!
Hi , just want to know what that rectangular button with the two chevrons on it does. It's between the handrest and the touchpad. I push down on it and don't see anything happening and don't see it anywhere in the manual. thanks. do love the car. I do think it would be more commensurate if the dealer put a luxury tire on the nx, the geolander is a decent tire but not luxury level!!
Hi @Harold! That's a secondary menu button. Check the video out here: 1:01:36, that's where I explain the button and show it on the Climate screen. I have seen it in some of the Setup screens also, but it is not on all screens and additional menu items will only show when you push the button and the icon is visible on the screen. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching :)
Hi Mark, Yes, as long as the DCM is active, which just means you need a trial or paid connection for any Lexus Enform feature like the Service connect features that comes free for 10 years on this model. As long as that connection is live then you can also start the car remotely from the key fob. It is more restrictive with distance than the phone app remote starter, but it is another feature. Use the lock button on the key fob and do the following: - Press Lock - Press Lock - Press and hold lock until you see the headlights or indicator lights flash. Then the engine will start.
Hi Dale, Thanks so much for checking in. From the Lexus Accessory page, this is what I found for you about the tow hitch for the NX: parts.lexus.com/accessories/Lexus_2022_NX/Exterior---Towing.html If that doesn't get you the correct information, I would reach out to the Parts department at your Lexus dealer and have them search for accessories based on your vehicle's VIN to confirm compatibility. All the best :)
Hi Linda, On a 2020 NX, with Waze open on the main screen, use the audio arrows on the steering wheel to move through you radio presets list. This method of changing the radio station will not interfere with the Waze app on screen. You can also use the Radio tuner dial or voice command and Waze will stay on screen. Hope this helps :) Thanks for watching!
Excellent course.! I just have a my new 2020 NX. The radio really helped a lot to me. Thanks. Question about the navigation. When I use the navigation, I missed the term, the navigation cannot recalculate. The direction just totally lost.
Hi fly wolf! Thanks so much! All NAV systems, the Lexus NAV, apps through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto should recalculate when you miss a turn. Which NAV system were you using? Also, make sure you have your NAV preferences set to allow freeways and toll-roads, etc. to allow for them if you need them. Thank can make a big difference in how it calculates your routes.
Hi @M16. Thanks for watching and for your feedback. It is tricky to point out standard features for our global audience since packaging is different in different parts of the world. When a vehicle has major changes, I try to point out if a feature has become standard for our area. These videos are intended as detailed virtual tutorials for Guests who already own the vehicle. There are a lot of amazing car review channels out there that may be a better fit if you're still shopping. Make sure to watch reviewers who are in your area for the most accurate information. Hope this helps. Thanks again for tuning in and I'm so glad you still liked the video :)
Hi! If that hasn't reset after refilling the reservoir, I would see your Lexus service department for help. They may need to use their scan tool to reset it for you. Thanks for checking in.
Hi Linda, Thanks for checking in. The Linked Key Feature is part of the memory feature. Unfortunately if the car doesn't have Driver Position Memory it isn't capable of linking to the key for recall. Thanks for tuning in with us. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
So strange there is no memory seat feature. I had it back in 2012 in a car and I bought this one used and since I’m 79 and a widow, a short one at that, I just assumed. First car I actually had to buy myself.
Hi Jeanne, if you have a destination programmed into the Lexus NAV, just press the Map button again and it should repeat the last navigation command for you.
I have 2 key fobs and lost 1 of them. If lost fob is in the vehicle would vehicle start without the 2nd fob being nearby and would the doors lock while keys are inside of vehicle.
HI Peggy, I'm sorry to hear about your missing key fob. If the key is in a dead zone in the car, or has gone to sleep, then the key can not be detected by the system. Areas on the floor and some areas in the truck are dead zones for smart access. I hope you're able to locate it. Thanks very much for tuning in!
Unfortunately, not all packages have the Parking Sensors. It is definitely something to be aware of when you're hopping to make sure you get the equipment you want. Same thing with the driver position memory. They don't seem to add that on all of the builds either. Thanks very much for checking in.
Hi! The Traction Control activates automatically and you will see the same icon show on the multi-information display if it needs to engage. If you have pressed the TRAC Off button, to turn it off, you will see a large message on the display that says Traction Control Turned Off. Just press the button again to turn it back on, or turn the car off and back an and the feature will turn back on. Thanks for checking in. Stay safe out there!
Hi @beautyosunset. Unfortunately, no. I started the virtual classroom to replace our in person trainings, because of the pandemic. The 2020 NX does have some differences, but a lot of this tutorial should be able to hopefully help.
Hi Jeanne, Make sure to add your VIN to your account in the Lexus app and set up the Lexus Enform Remote permissions. Then you can remote start from the phone or the key fob. Thanks for tuning in.
Hi! make sure your vehicle is equipped with Android Auto and turn it on in the Projection Settings. NXs built after October of 2019 are compatible with Android Auto. But Android Auto (and Apple CarPlay are not compatible with the Home Screen Connected Navi tile. That was for an app that has been discontinued. Most people will customize the home screen to show two tiles (Climate and Audio) and the plug in for Android Auto, if equipped. I hope this helps.
Hi NakMuay! That is a sub menu button. It is mostly used on the full size Climate Screen, when Climate is opened from the main menu. It opens additional menu items. Here's where I explain it: 1:01:37 Here's the climate section: 1:00:54 for all Climate details. Hope this helps :) Thanks for watching!
Hi! If your 2020 NX300 does not have the Lexus maps, you will need to use a compatible map app from your phone through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for navigation. Thanks for tuning in.
Awesome video! Thank you so much! My NX was manufactured in 1/2020 and the three buttons above my touchpad do not include maps, as in your video. How do I get a map on my default display without having to connect my phone?
Hi Susan. If you top left button says Home then the car has a multi media display instead of a native navigation display. It is not possible to retrofit factory installed NAV after production. Here are two options: 1. Customize the Home Screen (Menu>Setup>Customize Home Screen) to show something other than the map app. I like to select the two tile layout with Audio and Climate on my NX. Use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for navigation. It will go to full screen when selected and the Home Screen will be off. ACP and AA are not compatible with the nav spot on the HomeScreen 2. Use the Waze app from your phone (not through ACP or AA, jut the regular Waze app) and it will show on the navigation spot on your Home Screen. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching :)
Hi Juan, The optical rearview mirror should be easy to move and adjust, but it should be firm enough that it holds the adjustment for you. Also the mount against the front glass should not move. It should be well adhered. If it is not, I would recommend seeing your Lexus Service department for assistance. Thanks very much for checking in.
That's a feature that can be customized on most vehicles at your Lexus dealership. It requires a technician to attach a computer to the vehicle to make the change. Hope this helps :)
Hello, I have a 2020 NX300 And I cannot figure out how to change the climate Control temperature reading from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Can someone send me this information? Thanks
Hi Johnny, Unfortunately the temperature control reading can not be modified for anything except the Weather Forecast information. The other readout temperature information is setup from the factory and can not be changed. I hope this helps.
Hi. The HUD is an available feature. Make sure to speak with your sales person for packaging information so you can select the vehicle with the equipment you are wanting. Thanks for tuning in.
Hi Adjoah! Thanks for watching. Just press Menu, click on Setup, Click on Projection Settings, Select Apple CarPlay or Android Auto depending on your phone. :) Sorry for the confusion. When you asked about Projection Settings, I was giving you the information for 2021 NX.
My phone is android but I do see apple car play though so I was wondering if it comes with both android and apple car play so I will pick which one to use
@@adwoaJozie4675 The 2020 NX comes with Apple CarPlay, but not Android Auto. Android Auto was introduced on the 2021 with the next generation multimedia system.
Hi @Norman, Sorry I missed this earlier message. Yes, you can make calls while you're listening to other content from NAV, music, Audio book, podcast apps, you name it. Once you have your phone plugged in and Apple CarPlay is active, just push and hold the Voice Command button for a few seconds. This let's you access Siri, just like on your iPhone. Give your command you're good to go. Here's my video about Apple CarPlay. You might like some of those tips as well: ruclips.net/video/Yatf9H11jQM/видео.html
For compatible NXs before the 2022 model year, Android Auto was a tethered feature requiring a data certified cable to support mirroring data and information from the phone to the vehicle. Thanks for checking in.
That thing in the back was a real pain for me. I have the 2020. Of course I really didn't know what it was for.. When I removed the anchors the trunk door started closing on me. I've had 3 occasions where the door starts to close when I'm taking something out of the trunk. It sounds funny writing about it. I may take it back to the dealer to see if there is a glitch with the trunk door. It doesn't always open when I use my foot.
Hi Miranda. Some quick tips for the power back door: 1. Make sure that if your key is in your pocket and you lean in to the back of the car, you don't accidentally press on the button to close the back door. 2. The kick sensor looks for your foot to move in and out of range right at the center of the bumper. It could be that it is picking up movement as you remove things in and out of the back cargo area. 3. Here's a quick silly little video just about the kick sensor: ruclips.net/video/uL5iFN18QAk/видео.html If you still have trouble with it you can ask your dealership to check the settings for you. Hope this helps.
@@NorthsideLexus When I was putting groceries after I had the car for a few days, the door started closing and my keys were lying on the trunk. But thanks for your help. I like your video's, they're very specific and understandable :) I'll probably just take it in to the dealership.
Thanks so much, @Deepak! I'm not in Sales, but the Lexus website shows 2021 NXh starting price at $40,060.00 All areas get different types of packages in so it's important to check at your local dealer for accurate pricing. I would always consider another $5-10K ontop of the starting price depending on what options and wheel package you might want to add. Hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching.
Hi! If you don't have a map button, the your NX300 is a Display Audio model, without the Lexus navi system.
Hi. Thanks for checking. Keep in mind that the Destination Search feature is part of the native navigation system, so you will only see that on the models with Lexus NAV. I hope this helps.
Hi Bobby. The NX does not currently come with a touch screen. That may change in the future, but Lexus has not released any information about that change.
@@Nou-Seana It is definitely a nice change and seems to be the trend as the vehicles get updates. Fingers crossed that it will happen for the NX also. I drive and NX and love it! That would be a cool feature for sure!
I have the lexus NX 300 f sport my smart key doe not have a trunk button is that normal, i also have not been able to find the PKSA engage button i also do not have a sunroof, which i am not use to i have been driving lexus since 2003, i order this lexis thru a car dealership and i was told i was getting a premium package this is not a premium package can you please go over what comes with a base are standard model.
Hi Jan, It does sound like you have the standard equipment. What country are you in? Different parts of the world have different equipment and I only have access to the information for the US. If you look on the left hand side of the window sticker that came with your car, it will show you all of the standard features. The options are listed on the righthand side. The next step is to reach out to your sales person for more help. Best of luck with it. Thanks again for checking in.
The 2020 NX that comes with factory installed Navigation, will likely need a subscription for Dynamic Navigation through the Lexus app. Android Auto started on NXs built after the October 2019 production. There is not a retrofit in the US for Android Auto. Only Apple CarPlay was available at that time. Thanks for being here.
Hello. I have a 2020 and eggs 300 and I cannot figure out how to change the climate control temperature reading from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Anyone can help please let me know. Thanks
Hi Johnny, Unfortunately the temperature control reading can not be modified for anything except the Weather Forecast information. The other readout temperature information is setup from the factory and can not be changed. I hope this helps.
Melissa, I have my "Home" screen programmed in the center stack to display in 3 panes. Is is possible to have that configuration saved as my Default? Everytime I start my NX300 it goes back to a single pane of Navigation and have to press the Home button to get the 3 screen of Nav, Audio and Weather.
Hi Bob! Great question. Since you have a Multimedia non-NAV model NX, is it possible that you are plugging in your phone before turning on your Lexus? The only way for a map to show up on the screen would be through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. If you aren't wanting to use a connected NAV app through your phone, you could plug in through the 12-volt charger to just charge the phone, but not launch the mirroring features and see if that allows the system to show the Home screen at start up. Let me know if that works for you. Thanks for tuning in!
Hi Maribel, When you move through the whole range it shows "Lo," then 60 degrees for the coolest and for heat at the top of the register 85 then "Hi." I'm not sure if the Lo and Hi settings are changed by just one degree or more. That might be a great question for a Technician who has access to repair manuals. Hope this helps. Thank so much for watching :)
Thanks so much, Maribel. I started doing these detailed tutorials because of the virus. We aren't able to sit in the cars for long periods and teach everything one-on-one any more. It really started just for our local customers at our two dealerships, but now it seems to have gotten attention all over the world. It is pretty fun to see. I will continue to do them as new models come out and will keep doing my shorter Tech Tip Tuesday segments. Thanks so much for watching :)
Hi, I am looking at a Lexus NX300h Executive 4wd tecno+Navibox 2016 [1] would it have a power tailgate? [2]and a sunroof [3] a power steering wheel adjust [4] any other things that might help me make the decision. Many thanks Harry
Hi Harry. I'm certified as a Lexus Technology Specialist and not a sales person, so please make sure to double check with the specs for what ever vehicle you are look at before you buy. Are you in Houston or a near by area? I can connect you with our internet sales team. If not know that the power back door, kick sensor, power steering wheel, seat position memory, etc. are all optional. It is possible that they will all be on the package you are shopping, but I would have no way to confirm that and you will want to make sure you review the specs before you decide. If Apple CarPlay or Android Auto are important for you, look at 2018 or newer. 2019 and newer will come standard, but 2018 has an update available. There is a charge for the update and it varies by dealer. Best of luck on your search for your new Lexus. Thanks for watching :)
Hi Zahra, You bet. I'll be doing one for each of the 2021 models as they are available at my dealership. I should have one for the 2021 NX in about a month or so. It is very similar to the 2020. If you have a question while you wait for the new video, please feel free to ask here. I'll be glad to get back to you.
Thank you for your time and effort in presenting such detailed information on the Lexus product line. I have a 2020 NX 300h and I have a couple of questions for you. 1) Is there a way to customize the startup image on my 10.3-inch multimedia display? 2) I can access my vehicle tire pressures from my Lexus phone app but can't seem to find a way to see them on my Multi-Information Display. I found where I can recalibrate the TPMS but not view the individual pressures. What am I missing?
Hi Steve! Congrats on your new NX Hybrid! Happy to help. 1. Startup i,ages can no longer be customized. We aren't sure why that feature went away, but don't make yourself crazy looking for the setting because they removed it :( 2. To view your Tire Pressure, scroll in the MID to the "i" Information Menu. Then scroll up or down until you land on the TPM screen. Sometimes the reading will be blank. It just needs to calibrate after you drive a bit. Let me know if you have any other questions. Check at 30:25 in the video to see what it looks like.
@@stevechan5985 Thank you SO much! I'm trying to get better and better. I never dreamed that me trying to make some video tutorials during a pandemic, to help our customers who can't learn in person any more, would take off like this! It's very cool, but I am always trying to improve. I think my new motto should be, "Just a girl, an iPhone, a mic and a MacBook Pro...oh yeah and a Lexus!" ;-P LOL Thanks again for tuning in!
Hi, I bought my NX 300 Nov 2019and I never took the time to setup voice recognition and Know it can’t find the voice recognition setup instructions in my car. How can I do that?
Hi Fathia. Try this Menu - Setup - Voice - Train Voice Recognition You should also see tutorials available as well that might help you get started learning the system. All the best, Melissa
Hi Karen. Thanks for tuning in. The Kick Sensor is an optional feature. Make sure to check the window sticker for your vehicle to see all of the features on your Lexus NX.
Does my 2020 NX have an option for an audible sound if I'm changing lanes and a car is in my blind spot? Or is it only the light indicator on the rear view mirrors?
Hi Cheryl, The Lexus models don't have an audible warning for Blind Spot Monitor at this time. It is something that a couple of other manufactures do, so we might see it in the future. Thanks so much for tuning in and for your question!
Hi! That is strange. If you use the right arrow it will change tracks and if you press and hold the right arrow it can skip or scan ahead, but when you press and hold it again it will stop. If it is not working correctly, I would recommend making an appointment with your Lexus service department to have it checked. All the best.
Hi Andy, Thanks for watching. Keep in mind that the language settings can be changed in the MID and in the main setup menu. English, Spanish and French are the choices in the US. Hope this helps.
This cover has been a pain since I got the vehicle a few months ago. I didn't even know what the purpose was since it creates a blind spot when you want to look for traffic to your right. I finally took it off. Also, people probably laugh at me when I try to open the trunk by using my foot because it rarely works. I've been meaning to go to the dealer. You make everything look so easy :)
Hi Miranda, Thanks for watching. I'm glad you got the cover removed if that works better for you :) For the kick sensor, make sure to just do a small kick and pull straight back, right at the center of the back bumper. The sensor is looking for your foot to move in and straight out. I hope this helps :)
Hi Lynn, Thanks for watching. The 2017 NX has an analog speedometer on the right side of the instrument panel. It does not have a digital speedometer in the MID. Hope this helps.
Seems like I am missing a couple things from my Lexus. Homelink, for garage door and my digital speedometer👎🏽. Alittle bummed that I gave up some options from previous car. Thanks for tutorial ... great video

This is by far the best explained and most comprehensive tutorial out there. Great job, thanks from Australia
Thanks so much @Andrew! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! We seem to have a quite a few people watching from Australia! That's so awesome! Thanks again for tuning in!

So glad you enjoyed the video! Congrats on your NX300h!
Very cool!

You're welcome! I'm so glad to help! It's awesome to see people from all of the world on here :) Thanks so much for watching and enjoy your NX!
Here's the Lexus FAQ about the retrofit: lexus2.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10409/session/L3RpbWUvMTYyOTk5MjYzMS9nZW4vMTYyOTk5MjYzMS9zaWQvZlV1d3VhT3JiSDJvSEJxZGo0VG1FZGhmaCU3RXlRN0FyQ3dvZF85RjF0TTlQd05KSzZ2MXEyRURYR0RTaFdYSFU3dzlJUWdYRmJ1X3BWaHJ1Nm11Um1jenJCcldZa25zeFB0amx3cU1yY2oybmY2ekVlUWJpM2U5OFElMjElMjE=?p=190,1684

@@NorthsideLexus hi I can’t figure out how to comment but I hope you can help…how do I turn on the back seat air vents ? Didn’t see it in your video
I have been using this car since 2016, just learning all these lol......maybe because I never really needed them, but really good to know.

This was informative . I got my car last week. This helps a lot as I am not tech savvy. Thanks
I'm so glad to help @trecp1969 :)
Oh my, thank you so much. I was sent away in my "new" Lexus yesterday without being shown anything...not even how to lock and unlock keyless using the handle 😱
You've pretty much explained everything except the mobile charging plate i don't get how it works, it keeps stopping. Can you give me any info? Again thanks so much, all these videos are invaluable 🥳🙌
Hi Tara Kristine Photography! I'm s glad it helped you with your new Lexus! I'm happy to help troubleshoot the wireless charger. Can you help with a little more info:
- Model of phone and phone operating system (believe it or not this can make a difference)
- Type of phone case
- What are the lights doing on the charger when you place the phone on the device?
- Are you getting a message on the phone about the charge level? Part of the newer phone operating systems is to help prevent over charging, so it will delay the phone from charging fully if it is resting on a charger as it learns your usage habits.
Happy to help, Melissa
Thank you so much for this video! I just got the 2020 NX 300 for my birthday :D
Yay! Happy birthday, Grace!!! What an awesome gift! Enjoy your NX!
Thank you so much for this. Now I just need to figure out why my Lexus app isn’t working
Thank you for being here! What part of your app isn't working? Delete and reinstall and then let me know. I'm happy to try to help!
Thank you so much for your time and your reply. I am having the car serviced in a couple of weeks. I know I once had a Toyota Tacoma and the gearshifting did not work properly. They reloaded the computer with a new version and it worked perfectly after that. Thanks again
I sure hope they can get it figured out for you. 🤞
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope it is still helpful for you with your NX. :)
Great video very helpful. Do you have any video about the trackpad in details? 😃

Hi, I have a 2018 Lexus NX 300 and I do not have Maps in my car. Good job on the explanation
Thank you .. do you have an F3 sport tutorial 🥰
Hi Infinity8. These are all the NX Tutorials I have:
2022 NX Part 1: ruclips.net/video/B6S21RoEq2E/видео.html
2021 NX: ruclips.net/video/GBQvHzMxH_4/видео.html
2020 NX: ruclips.net/video/A0PYCwsYZRc/видео.html
I don't do individual tutorials for the F-Sport versions, just one video for the each car. We don't have any cars called "F3 Sport," but I'm thinking it may be the NX300 or NX350 F-Sport that you are asking about. I hope one of these will helps. Thanks so much for tuning in with us!
Please would you do a video on the NX400h+ please?
Hi CambridgePLettings, I am working on the Deep DIve tutorial video for the 2022 NX models and hope to have it out soon. Unfortunately, I will not have access to an NX450h+ for about a year, but will be doing a video for that model once I'm able to have one for filming. Thanks so much for tuning in with us and I hope the other NX videos I'm working on will help in the meantime.

Do you have a video for the 2018 Lexus NX 300?
Hi! Sorry I didn't start doing the full tutorial videos until the pandemic, so 2020 was the first year for them. Hopefully there is enough info to help you with your 2018 NX. Thanks very much for tuning in!
is there a seat setting option.. i dont see it on the door for driver 1 and 2!!!
Hi! Unfortunately Driver Position Memory is not standard on the NX. If the buttons "Set" 1, 2, 3 are not in the driver's door, then the package did not include that feature. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Thanks very much for being here!
Hi ,
just want to know what that rectangular button with the two chevrons on it does.
Love the video thank you, just a quick question I have heard you can start the car from the key fob is this right ?
Hi Mark, Yes, as long as the DCM is active, which just means you need a trial or paid connection for any Lexus Enform feature like the Service connect features that comes free for 10 years on this model. As long as that connection is live then you can also start the car remotely from the key fob. It is more restrictive with distance than the phone app remote starter, but it is another feature. Use the lock button on the key fob and do the following:
- Press Lock
- Press Lock
- Press and hold lock until you see the headlights or indicator lights flash. Then the engine will start.
Great video informative, do you know or anyone know if the NX300 FSport can be fitted with a factory tow receiver?
Thank you
Hi Dale, Thanks so much for checking in.
When I’m using Waze but then want to change the radio station I lose the visual Waze screen. Is there a shortcut to get the Waze screen back quickly?
Great video, but would be good to highlight, what is as standard options come with the NX and the optional fitted.
How to reset the (windshield washer fluid low)? On NX 300 2019
Hi! If that hasn't reset after refilling the reservoir, I would see your Lexus service department for help. They may need to use their scan tool to reset it for you. Thanks for checking in.
I have the nx300 without memory buttons for seats. Is there a to have the key memorize the seat setting?
Hi Linda, Thanks for checking in. The Linked Key Feature is part of the memory feature. Unfortunately if the car doesn't have Driver Position Memory it isn't capable of linking to the key for recall. Thanks for tuning in with us. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
So strange there is no memory seat feature. I had it back in 2012 in a car and I bought this one used and since I’m 79 and a widow, a short one at that, I just assumed. First car I actually had to buy myself.
How can we repeat the nav instructions if we didn’t hear the nav
I have 2023 NX 350 F sport handling. Does it have parking sensors? Thanks!
Unfortunately, not all packages have the Parking Sensors. It is definitely something to be aware of when you're hopping to make sure you get the equipment you want. Same thing with the driver position memory. They don't seem to add that on all of the builds either. Thanks very much for checking in.
Super informative in an easy to understand video - great job!
Awesome, thank you!
Does the traction control automatically come on when the road gets icy? If not, how is it turned on? Thank you
Is there a tutorial for the 2019 NX300 model?
Hi @beautyosunset. Unfortunately, no. I started the virtual classroom to replace our in person trainings, because of the pandemic. The 2020 NX does have some differences, but a lot of this tutorial should be able to hopefully help.
How can we start the car from outside with the key fob?
Hi Jeanne, Make sure to add your VIN to your account in the Lexus app and set up the Lexus Enform Remote permissions. Then you can remote start from the phone or the key fob. Thanks for tuning in.
I cant get the apps on my screen nor can i get the map on my screen for android. Please help
Hi! make sure your vehicle is equipped with Android Auto and turn it on in the Projection Settings.
What does that button with the two arrowheads pointing up below the touchpad do?

My Lexus 2020 nx300 I do not have a Map Button how do I get to the Map
ACP and AA are not compatible with the nav spot on the HomeScreen
2. Use the Waze app from your phone (not through ACP or AA, jut the regular Waze app) and it will show on the navigation spot on your Home Screen.
Hope this helps! Thanks for watching :)
Northside Lexus, good to know! Thank you for your reply!

Is it possible to have iPhone without cord
Is the best Bluetooth
Hi Merla, Bluetooth is a wireless technology and does not require a cord to connect to the vehicle. Hope this helps.
Is the rear view mirror supposed to be a bit loose?
Hi Juan, The optical rearview mirror should be easy to move and adjust, but it should be firm enough that it holds the adjustment for you. Also the mount against the front glass should not move. It should be well adhered. If it is not, I would recommend seeing your Lexus Service department for assistance. Thanks very much for checking in.
How do I open all the windows with my key fob before getting into the car,
That's a feature that can be customized on most vehicles at your Lexus dealership. It requires a technician to attach a computer to the vehicle to make the change. Hope this helps :)
Very, very informative video. Does the front license plate bracket need to be secured with screws? Or can it simply be clipped on?
Hi Edward, the bracket should come with two screws for securing the bracket in place. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!

Hi, how can I setup bsm alerts beep?
Hi Pheak, the BSM only has a visual alert on Lexus vehicles to date. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!

I have a 2020 F Sport ... it doesn't have the android auto And the Navigation system does not work at all.
Thank you- for answering my question so quickly !!!💝💝💝
Danke für die exelenten Erklärungen !!!
Du bist herzlich Willkommen!
Thanks very helpful.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for tuning in!
Hi, what's the temperature range on AC system? What's the coldest and hottest??
Thank you
Hi Maribel, When you move through the whole range it shows "Lo," then 60 degrees for the coolest and for heat at the top of the register 85 then "Hi." I'm not sure if the Lo and Hi settings are changed by just one degree or more. That might be a great question for a Technician who has access to repair manuals. Hope this helps. Thank so much for watching :)
@@NorthsideLexus I have never seen a similar explanation of a model before, thanks for the answer and for your time
Thanks so much, Maribel.
@@NorthsideLexus Hi am in Spain but thought as it is called Executive model it would have some extras
Can you do another tutorial for nx 300 2021?
We aren't sure why that feature went away, but don't make yourself crazy looking for the setting because they removed it :(
@@NorthsideLexus Thank you. Your videos are the best!
All the best, Melissa
i have a lexus nx 300 hybrid, should i be able to kick and open lift gate?
The BEST tutorial, this was a game changer, thank you!!❤
Thanks so much for being here with me, @T.T.Taylor!
Can’t stop my Bluetooth podcasts from skipping forward. I touched the right arrow once and now it won’t stop skipping forward
Hi! That is strange. If you use the right arrow it will change tracks and if you press and hold the right arrow it can skip or scan ahead, but when you press and hold it again it will stop. If it is not working correctly, I would recommend making an appointment with your Lexus service department to have it checked. All the best.
My lexus is showing some signals I don't understand
🤔Ok, what is it you're seeing? I'm happy to try to help!
In language settings how many languages and what language I can choice?
Can it display the actual gear position under D mode? Thanks.
Check the MID to see if it will show anything other than "D" for drive. I believe the gear numbers only show in manual. Best of luck.
Thanks
I cannot figure out how to display my speed on my 2017 NX 200t?
Hi Lynn, Thanks for watching. The 2017 NX has an analog speedometer on the right side of the instrument panel. It does not have a digital speedometer in the MID. Hope this helps.
Seems like I am missing a couple things from my Lexus. Homelink, for garage door and my digital speedometer👎🏽. Alittle bummed that I gave up some options from previous car. Thanks for tutorial ... great video
