I would say that 6 speeds is actually perfect. Many of these newer 8-10 speeds are way too busy and are constantly shifting gears no matter what. The top gears are often not even usable as even the slightest incline causes the transmission to shift right back out over and over again.
my wife one has a 2018 and it drives great! I really like the little turbo in it. Not a lot of room inside, but pretty good on gas. We are also leasing it, so the sticker price did not scare us.

Woooow, much better and you can decline the rear seats to 3 deferent positions. Not as much as the VW touran, but at least some positions backwards, if somebody want to sleep or take nap. Seats are very confortable. Booth space is okey, still good. I test drove the NX300H before getting the 200T for wife, disagree. Hybrid has lack of power.... felt like driving a corolla. the tubro makes it much more fun! We drive mainly on freeway so getting about 28mpg anyways.
I prefer the smoothness of the NX 300h, Lexus are not meant to be driven hard and I got 35mpg in the hybrid :D (video on my channel if you wish to see Ivan)

The interior is gorgeous (mine has the red seats and stiching) and is a nice place to be in. Wish it had a little more power or a little better fuel economy. The vehicle is smaller overall and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone as their primary vehicle but as a secondary vehicle to a pickup it's great. However, I personally don't think it is worth $50,000 at all. We bought ours used for $30K with 24,000 miles. At that price it's a great vehicle but no way when I'm in it does it feel like $50K.
Disagree, we have the 2017 GLC and had the 2015 X3. our 2016 NX is bigger than both german rivals in terms of seating space, however much smaller for the boot space.....

They couldn't catch up to Europeans and are getting squeezed by Koreans on value. Mazda has some interesting technology and potential but better pay more attention to exterior design, which is getting ridiculously cheesy, just as Toyota/Lexus and Nissan. Honda and Subaru are still OK.
Not sure I agree with you here. It really depends on your location. Brands like Lexus and Nissan aren’t very popular in say Europe but here in the US they get along fairly well.

They are getting rid of stock right now by offering great lease deals on 2020 models, about 20% lower than similarly priced european/american cars. They do this by inflating residual values. but who will pay $30k for a used car with no navigation or touch screen, with mouse pad for media control etc...? They are technologically behind even today, but in four years time they will be taking a big loss trying to sell these clunkers and some of the allure of good resale value will come off and it's the main reason they built their reputation.

I'm guessing people like you are out of touch with prices these days. A fully equipped rav4 is is almost 45 grand. A a fully equipped honda accord is over 40 grand. A mazda cx 5 is 42 grand, And every vehicle it compete with cost about the same.

Having the 6 speed automatic is a very good thing. That is a proven and very reliable transmission.
6 speeds is way to little in 2020. Reliability doesn’t really matter on a new car since most people won’t keep them long term.
