I am so sick of people doing "walkthroughs" that is just them, without a filter, speaking for the entirety of their playthrough. It really feels like GLaDOS and Wheatley changed roles when they changed heads! Wheatley acts really angry and powerful while GLaDOS is now trying to help Chell following along with no limbs.

I see so much praise for this game, but I never see anyone acknowledge this game’s stellar worldbuilding. In the original, Aperture Science was just a fun meta thing to make fun of how the game was more or less a series of isolated rooms of challenges designed by a game designer and Portal 2 takes this idea and turns Aperture into a real facility with its own history. You see how various parts of the facility are built, how they’re maintained, how they break, and how they can be repaired. The opening of tens of thousands of relaxation chambers designed to hold other test subjects or how Aperture finds subjects abandoned at their doorstep and launches them into space with little regard for their lives is all really cool, but also kinda sad when you go back down to the original lab and hear the remnants of a slightly more ethical testing environment led by actual humans. There’s a lot of really cool stuff I just don’t see people talk about that much

Theres a part at the beginning where the automated voice says the things can continue to function in as little as 1.1 volts, and a part much later where GLaDOS complains that the potato can only do 1.1 volts. I love the little consistencies like that

Remembering this game makes me sad, because it makes me realize how there is probably never going to be a game as good as this one. The humor, the gameplay, the puzzles... This is really how you make a great game.

This game was something else man. The amount of head aches, laughs and sad times I had in that game where just crazy.
This was my brothers' game and I played multiplayer with them often when I was younger. I always wanted to play it on my own but I would get frustrated and give up a few puzzles in.
Now all these years later, at 17, I decided I wanted to give it another try. I began a few days ago and I just now beat the game! I did it mostly on my own, but I used this video as a walkthrough for a few of the levels (I really tried my darnedest to complete it with no help, but some of those puzzles really stumped me!)
Man, portal 2 is such a great game. And there's not a lot of video games that are STILL amazing 10 years after their original release. I'm so glad I got to enjoy this game to its full extent, because 9-year-old me really wanted to! I might just play through it again, but next time I won't get any help lol
In the Wheatley betraying part, the tense atmosphere and his voice is so fitting and eerie, it makes the player feel really bad as though they lost an actual friend.

man, what atmosphere this game has, the soundtrack, the voices, the outro songs, the dark post-apocaliptic still highly enjoyable atmosphere, just epic!
Wow, finally sunlight and grass after 50,000 years! But, at the same time, I'm gonna miss those robots. They were the only form of social interaction that the player has in both Portal games.
Although they're made of plastic and metal, the AIs had more personality and ultimately felt more human than the only flesh-and-blood human in this game. I'm pretty sure Valve intended this to be the case.
The reason why Chell could hear and survive in space was the huge flood of air coming out of the Aperture facility.
I am not sure of the exact physics of breathing in a stream of pressurized air, but I am pretty sure the air pressure in the stream would be too low to breath. That said, she could hypothetically hold her breath for the twenty or so seconds she was in space.
I do not believe Chell could have heard Wheatly or GLaDos though, as the stream of air would have been too loud.
Of course, maybe questioning the physiscs of a game with portal guns and jumps is not such a good idea.
But how can Wheatley hear Space Core in the end bit where they're floating in space?

I've watched this around a dozen times, the search bar remembers it for me, and then I just look for your name. Excellent gameplay, 'camerawork', and the few times you communicate at all it's useful (strange circumstances such as dying on purpose to that one pit so we can hear the voiceover for that eventuality). 10/10

I don't know why I'm saying this, I don't know if anyone cares, but I trust that flying robot with a British accent with my life.
GLaDoS is just a victim of circumstance. The real villain was Cave Johnson. Experimenting on people and creating GLaDoS by using Caroline.
The ending taught me a valuable lesson: The best way to defeat a psychopathic sentient robot is to ruin their life and being mute whilst doing so. Frustration is the key.

It is speculated that Cave Johnson and Caroline are Chell's Parents.
The "Surprise" near the beginning mention 2 people who really want to see her, and that it has been a long time since they saw Chell, these could very well be Cave Johnson and Caroline. Also, the part with the science projects has a large plant, behind this plant is a science project, this part is very well known.(Or something relating to Chell in that respect, can't quite remember atm). As well, at the end with the turrets singing the song, translated into English from Italian; the song is about a mother and how she loves her daughter and wants her to go far away from Science and uses many affectionate words. At the end a companion cube is shot out, it could be possible that Caroline wanted to be with her daughter forever guiding and caring for Chell, and that when she "deleted" Caroline, all she really did was transfer Caroline into the companion cube, where they will be, until the end of days.

Did anyone else get so emotional when GLaDos gave us Companion Cube back?? Yes, she set Chell free. But Chell is mute and in a strange new world that she has never been in. No tests, no portals. And she's in the middle of no-where! And GLaDoS tonight about this because she gave Chell back her only friend and one thing to have that would be familiar. So GLaDoS really cares!
