I appreciate the insight. As a Singaporean, too often we see how our Malaysian counterparts are late and don't think much of the commute. From your video, I understood how unpredictable and stressful the daily cross-border commute can be, and accordingly, how half-day work really still is full-day work for a cross-border worker due to the travelling hours involved. Rents in SG don't give cross-border workers much of an option either. Thanks for giving us a look into this, and all the best to your future goals; you clearly are saving on rent with something much bigger in mind.
Aww you are so thoughtful and caring! Thanks for your comment 😁 I appreciate it too! Thanks for your kind words 👍🏻 Yes this is just Saturday half day, I have filmed a week in my life travelling back and forth and will be uploading this week, stay tuned if you are interested 😀

@@LifeOfAshlynOng used to. these days i rent and go back for the weekends.
@@fabianmok2206 Ah I see. But the rental is very high tho.
@@LifeOfAshlynOng that's true. I was lucky that I took up rental in the February of last year, master bedroom for 750 sing so I bypassed the price hike entirely.
@@fabianmok2206 wow that's awesome!
My colleague gets up at 3am n is already in the office by 4am or 4.30am where she will sleep again n start work at 7.30am ( although our official time is 8am). She does this 5 days a week, coming in with her husband on their bike in order to beat the jam. I personally think that life is a choice, if u are happy with it so be it but keep this in mind...you are young now n your body is able to take it but the years of such lifestyle will soon take its toil on your health n once u reach a certain age, your body will show its results. So yes u made the money but your health is the price u pay. 😊
Yes I agree with you but i am not young haha 😆 I am thinking to earn like a few years and come back to Malaysia to work as a full time RUclipsr. So must see how my RUclips grows.
@@LifeOfAshlynOng thats good..work for a few years then go back..or else this type of lifestyle isnt healthy for the long term...life isnt all about money...
All the best to your endeavours...

Most either do it for few years then go back. After 35 very hard to live this kind of life. Or they settle in Singapore. Marry Singaporean become PR. Or just become PR or citizens.

Right now, I feel like I want to live your life. Commuting Johor-Singapore daily seems fun! And early morning gives me an unforgettable vibe.
But, after a few weeks/months doing so, I think I'm not so sure will still enjoy it 😅
Greeting from Bandung, Indonesia
Hi Bandung, Indo!! It would be fun if you enjoy commuting. However, it's really tiring and time consuming. I will be uploading a week in my life this week. Stay tuned! ☺️

Gila wey. Salute to you. I thought waking up at 6am then drive to KL teruk but yours lagi teruk. Huhuhu. Caiyokk
Thank you 😊 But KL traffic is so bad 😔
I have a friend commuting to KL from Seremban to work , its worse than this.
Wow able to go home early
I was working half day on a Saturday.
Keep going. The most important thing is to plan and save. Invest well especially in big ticket items like buy a house. So in later years if you need to quit, you don’t need to earn so much. Once you have kids or just due to aging this might not be feasible.
Thanks for your opinion! I will take into consideration and I have bought a house hehe😁

How long does it take from JB Central to Singapore Woodland, including Immigration?
Especially from Monday to Friday?
And can you tell me how long does it take just the Part with immigration, especially from Monday to Friday, including waiting, Passport checking, also in Singapore site?
hmm good question. It really depends. Nowadays I cannot predict. But I can give a round off timing.
At Malaysia Custom, clear passport needs less than half an hour, bus waiting more than half an hour.
At Singapore checkpt, clear passport 15 minutes, bus waiting less than 20 minutes.
Singapore is always faster than Malaysia.
From JB to SG, I would say a total of one and a half hour?

@@LifeOfAshlynOng I think you should. Maybe suggest to your boss you will work 1 hour longer Mon to Fri, or if you work from home on Saturday you are willing to use the commuting time for work instead. He gets more working hours from you and you save the effort and money on commuting, it will be a win-win situation. I can't see any reason why it is not good for business and his employee (i.e. you). I tried but Malaysian immigration disallowed me to travel daily and even threatened to blacklist me from entering Malaysia because they claimed I abuse the social visit pass!
How did you guys do it for years?
Why is that so? I have a work pass tho.
If you are Singaporean then staying in JB on social visit pass continuously isnt possible. Those who do it go back to SG at least 2 or 3 times a month and stay a few days. Cant just go in and out everyday.

Something that foreigners from China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines,Vietnam, Bangladesh and Myanmar can only dream about. While people from these countries have to suffer from the high house rental and high cost of living in SG, Malaysians just need to endure this daily commute for a few years and u are set for life.
