Very informative video.Salute to you.Planning to find a job in Singapore, any apps you recommend for finding a job?Thank you.
Thank you for your comment 😄 I would recommend Indeed or LinkedIn.
I want to ask why people don't go during after noon or evening and work afternoon or night instead of starting work at morning
There are people like this working in the afternoon. But why they go in the morning is because their work have to do that ah.
This is what everybody is like in Singapore. Always neggy
Ops.
hi i`m newbie here. Wish me luck ,i`ve been applying for SG job (almost 3 month actually since i`ve been applying). Its hard but wish me luck.Your video kind of give me courages to not give up in achieving my goals to work at SG.Thank you!
Owh, all the best in your job hunting!
@@doremido_life thank you!
@@nazzatulizwanna1653 You are welcome!
Which polytechnic were you from? Republic Polytechnic?
Yes you are right.
If I were you, I'll go back and forth depending on my financial strength and progress. I'm glad that you're decisive and contented with the decision you've made. Wish you all zah best!
Thank you so much!😊
You are Malaysian passport? Which pass you are holding?
Yes Malaysia Passport, I was holding work permit only.
Im currently working there and commuting everyday. I work at the other side of singapore but cross over 2nd link. Commute is 4 hours per trip. oh my goodness i feel like im dying. The exhaustion is real. I already feel the burn out.
Aw I can feel you. Please take care of yourself, love yourself!
hello im very inspired by your videos. May i know what kind of job did you switch to? and what are other remote jobs in demand among singaporeans?? Thank you
Hi Thank you! I am working as a customer service executive. I am not too sure what other remote jobs are in demand in Singapore tho.
@@doremido_life btw is there any job vacancy in your department? hahaha
@@AngkasaRentung sorry, not at the moment.
Wow able to go home early
I was working half day on a Saturday.
Halo kk, saya nak tanya, saya kan orang indonesia, kalau saya tinggal di malaysia dengan cara sewa apartement dan bekerja di singapura bisa tak?
Sorry Saya ingat tak boleh.
Money can always be earned but time and health once gone you can never get back. All the best Ashlyn, take care of your mental health, and thank you for having contributed to Singapore :)
Thank you for your concern! 😌
Yy
ah?
Hi. at the end of the video i see the long queue. And got confius 😂 is that line from SG to MY or MY to SG?
From SG to MY. At msia Custom. Mostly Singaporean.
Any idea how long it takes to travel from the tuas checkpoint side to SG in the morning during rush hour? :)
Err, I never do that.
hi~ you mean pick a higher range of salary like if ,y salary in rm is 3000, then in sg what should I put? 3100sg? or follow MY currency
Sorry, I don't quite get your question.
Omg how many hours do you sleep per day?
Average 6 hours I guess.
Hello. May i ask if you are from JB, everyday travel back n forth to SG, do you have a work permit in SG? Or do u get ur passport stamp everyday?
We will need a work permit.
Lols.... I understand the "me" time is very precious. Put God 1st & all else will fall into place. ✌️
Wow you are right!!!
Understand that you study your dipolma in RP. Do you study your primary & secondary education in malaysia?
Yes you are right.
Do you need to wake up early when you are schooling to travel causeway?
@@alvintan9027 Yes. But there is no a lot of people going in Singapore back then.
If you dont mind me asking is there a big difference between what you were making in SG compared how much you earn now after returning?
Actually there will be a big difference but I am lucky enough to have another quite high salary job 😉
Hey!! Thanks for sharing this. It boost up my motivation to stay in JB and work in Singapore soon. I work in a multinational company in Malaysia and looking to transfer to Singapore in few months time, just keep on hesitating due to the time for commuting. How much would it cost to rent a whole unit in JB? And how much earning in SGD per month minimum is consider worth the travelling?
You are welcome! It's around less than MYR2k to rent a whole unit in JB near custom. It depends how big is the unit as well. I guess SGD2.3k should be the minimum?
@@doremido_life i see... so, in terms of duration to commute to & fro from JB custom nearby to Woodland area, it is about 4 hours total?
i am working a little bit different timing compare to others as I am dealing with europe timezone. So, my job starts at 11am to 8pm. So, will the traffic be clear for me to commute faster?
@@RyanLim-xm4ek no, actually if from JB custom to Woodlands area will be 2-3 hours only.
@@RyanLim-xm4ek Yes, it will not as many people for your timing.
Understand that you study your diploma in Singapore. Do you get higher pay in malaysia compared to people who have a diploma in malaysia?
Sorry I am not too sure about this. I guess should be the same?
I hope you managed to save a lot while working in SG. In my opinion its not really worth doing this unlesd on S Pass or EP in which case you can afford to stay in SG or buy a SG plate car and drive.
Thank you so much Peter! I agree with your opinion.
If you the tenacity to work for 10 years is equal to working in Malaysia for 30 years. With huge sum of saving, you’re free to start to do things that you like to do. But if you can’t take it, it is alright. The punishing hour of daily commuting to and fro is not for normal human being. Only Johorean able to do it. KL is also good alternative as daily commuting to work is also using the metro line.
I agree with your point 👍🏻
SGD 1 = MYR 3.5 Commute 3.5 MY hours = 1 SG hour 😅
Nice math haha~ 😆
i want to write many things but i am from indonesia so my english is not good, i will just say i think it depends to how much money you need to live. if you have husband and kids, the higher salary job payment of course is needed
Ya you are right. If we have high commitment, we must take the high salary job.
I'm a Singaporean who travels to jb sometimes. when I go home at 9pm and see the crowds of people checking in back to jb I really salute you guys. thanks for making our country a better place and hope you're feeling better
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you 👍👏
Cheering you on for your next chapter of life! 🎉🎉
Thank you so much Chun Weng~
Just curious your new job is ringgit or sing dollar pay ?
Ringgit Sad. xd
What do you work as ? Mind sharing?
@@alvintan9027 I work as Customer Service.
still better than rupiah .... 30K rupiah is just 9 ringgits
@@doremido_lifeyou work in JB ?
Its really tough for 4 hours of travel time a day. Not many people can do it.
Ya you are right. But there are a lot of people doing it everyday.
After a while it takes a toll. I don't think anyone can do it too long especially those over 30. A decision has to be made either live in SG or work in JB. I was a Malaysian working in SG but never commuted , stayed there. Was on Employment Pass and back then rental wasn't that high so it was a no brainer although my brother living in JB asked me to stay with him and his family and commute.
Agree to what you said and you should not try it. You a PR now?
@@doremido_life yes, long time. My husband and kids are Singaporeans
@@Sunshine-zi4nq That's great~
<3 Family 1st doremi.
You are right~ 😍
Why not just live in Singapore by renting?
It's too expensive to rent a room in Singapore.
@@doremido_life I believe there are some cheap ones but yeah the goal of working in Singapore as a Malaysian is to save as much as possible even if it's just a few dollars, it still matters as a few dollars after conversion to MYR is a lot. I believe I'll be working in Singapore for the first time ever in just a few months. I'm kinda nervous. Any tips regarding efficiently saving money while not starving myself? 😂
@@booaks2980 hmm... Control yourself not to shop a lot then you can save a lot. Are you staying in Singapore?
@@doremido_life probably, i actually did find some hdb houses that cost only like 400 per month. So it is considered cheap compared to the other ones that cost 750 to 4 digits. I feel like living in Johor and working in Singapore is something that'll drain my life. My parents also told me to not treat myself that harshly
@@booaks2980 Ya you should treat yourself kind. Actually I already quit my job, I have a new video coming up on Sunday, a few hours later, talking about why I quit daily commuting. You may want to watch it 😄
加油 & blessed Easter 😊
谢谢! Same to you~

@@Sunshine-zi4nq Thanks for asking! Hmm.. I think I will make a daily vlog of my life just to update you guys ya~
I guess If you are a European you cannot work in Singapore and live in Malaysia, right?
Ya I guess nope.
@@doremido_life is a pity
@@musavillarin6102 Aww...
Hi Doremido, this video has been very helpful for me to gauge my own timing. However, may I know if the crowd and journey duration is still the same today as it was 9 months ago? Thank you!
Ya, I believe the crowd is almost the same but maybe lesser abit? hehe You are welcome btw!
Very boring video
Thank you for your comment! I will improve myself.
Those seem like some great places to live.
Ya you are right!
Can tourist do that too? Visiting Singapore but stage in JB?
Ya, but not long term. How many days you plan to visit Singapore?
Is it allow to carry power bank and pass through customs?
Yes it is allowed via land transport from Malaysia to Singapore vice versa.
Thank you Doremido! I have been learning a lot from your videos! Also really appreciate your warm and friendly demeanor :)
Glad to hear this! It's my pleasure :D
Live in Malaysia is easier, less hectic and you can enjoy life. Please don’t work in Singapore.
Totally agree 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing! I think the sound at the start was a bit soft, but other than that, helpful!
You are welcome! Thanks for your comment.
Billion dollar global insight for real life, movie, anime, or thesis to feedback to management and max profits. The pain point is the congestion, stuck in traffic and queuing at the Singapore Malaysia immigration checkpoints and bridge. Create two group taxi sharing pick up and drop off stands at Singapore and Malaysia near the immigration (before congestion points). The taxi drivers using smart mobile payment app can auto split the taxi fare equally based on number of passengers in the taxi and accept tap credit, debit cards, mobile tap payment or cash (both ringgit or Singapore dollars ok, app auto convert for taxi driver). The stand sign explicitly says for group taxi sharing (4 persons then will drive off), and the stand sign display the address of the drop off location. Naturally, the passengers can negotiate between themselves and the taxi driver to start moving if less than four people.
That's life...
