- Brandy is back in the spotlight with a new show and new music. She joined Renata on Ear Candy Mornings to talk about her journey in the music business, highs and lows of life, love and how she's happier now than ever before.
Brandy is back on BET, starring in a new romantic comedy
"Zoe Ever After," about a woman who just went through a divorce and is starting a new life. Brandy's character balance dating and motherhood, all while chasing her dream of owning a cosmetics line. The "Have You Ever" singer came back over the summer with new goals, new music and projects.

i really like their dynamic in this interview. they have a good chemistry. i think they bounced off each other well and made each other be more...authentic.
I love the depth of their conversation. Some real talk. Sounds like Brandy is in a beautiful place in her personal journey.
Brandy seems like she's becoming a lot more free and refreshed, not just musically. I hope she continues on this path of fearlessness and easy flow. And that FOR REAL message she shared: "the moment you have to dim someone else's light to shine, then you not really no star."
I love Brandy. Her voice is like no other. I'm begging and pleading for the label to free Brandy from the BS. I'm definitely looking forward to a new Brandy album. Her albums are always far in between one another. Come through with more new Brandy music... soon!!

Brandy is a great example of strength and conviction. Women should always feel empowered; whether they are single or with a significant other. Being married does not define your womanhood! Marriage doesn't happen for everyone, and guess what???? THAT'S OK!!! Life will DEFINITELY be ok! Brandy IS that chick! Always has been and always will be!

I haven't dealt with anybody for a long time either. So I feel Brandy on that. And its almost like people dont understand when I tell them that I don't deal with anyone. I don't because I needed a break. It's been 3 years.

I love Brandy & this interview. She is so beautiful 💖 I find myself re-watching every couple of weeks. I'm kinda sad that she made us wait 8 years for an album tho #B7 8 years is worth at least 2-3 albums.
I feel a little ignorant be cause of the reality TV style where drama sell along with sex and negativity and it's a shame because I grew up with Brandy and she is a very talented Woman and glad I took the time to really look and listen so that I could see her soul. Blessings to her I have a greater appreciation for her and the gifts she displays and share with the world.
With all that said don't get me wrong I always felt she like Whitney Houston was sold as a image and she wasn't her true self and I am glad to see her more comfortable with herself and being her true self not needing to be turned up nor perfect (Cinderella) like when the same mistake was made with Whitney which stifles the person and they end up coming home with Bobby Brown and don't get it twisted because I believe that Bobby was the true love of Whitneys life and she is they where way more alike than than we could've guessed meaning that Bobby was not getting high with Whitney when she died I unlike most understood that image thing and was not surprised when their actions didn't match the image that is packaged and sold
There's a thin line between bragging with arrogance and shining with confidence and through more interviews like these I'm able to see the latter and not mistake her for being someone else I that may be the case with her mother but her father comes across very well

Slayana, that trap beat actually worked withco new song. Personally, I can't stand that beat, but it worked and I love the song. Now, let's get down to business. Why isn't yo' song being played on mainstream radio? And where's that video? Bae, you know the attention span of today so you better make that move or else people gon forget. When you did _Afrodisiac_, that's when you lost me. I get it though. I didn't like _Zoe Ever After_. It was boring and the cast was stiff. The gay guy was annoying and stereotypical. Everybody else was take it or leave it. Oh well. Presently, you're lookin' good and soundin' good, Slayana. I wanna see you win again. I know you will. 😉
I agree! She needs to be played on the radio, then get a video out. Do some promo on the song, have it be a single for the album. I didn't like Zoe ever after either, I think everyone tried but we'd all rather see moesha and it's hard to let go. Lol i wish I could manage her lol
