When off road recovery goes wrong...

- A simple off road recovery call for a stuck Toyota Tacoma turned into an all day adventure when we ran into a backwoods traffic jam, and then Alex fell through the ice and into the frozen lake. In the end, everyone made it out fine with no damage to any vehicles, so it was still a good day

' everybody who's not stuck please get out of the way ' .. words i bet Casey never thought he'd say miles from a paved road
That's Bend Oregon for you. In January I pulled 3 cars out of the woods in one day. A BMW x5, toyota truck and a subaru.
That needs to be on a shirt
The footage of Alex gracefully jumping had me dying. So graceful!
The difference in snow conditions from the start to the end of the video really shows how wheeled vehicles get so completely stuck , go thru the crust it's game over.
@DonaldJ If you tell someone where you're going and a time you should be back by, then you don't need to carry most of those things all the time, that in turn leaves more room to carry things you do need.
Unless you have enough ground clearance to keep the frame from setting down on the crust, it’s a combination of ground clearance and snow depth. It’s a classic problem that so few understand. They keep saying tire chains, but they don’t help with that problem. You need floatation.
Having a dedicated camera man is giving us a lot more action shots!!!! That is a beautifull area!
Man, that is some seriously Gorgeous country.
Watched this once before. The traffic jam was good but, seeing Alex going down I had to watch again.
Recovery success.
Alex in Swan Lake😂😂 “Everybody that’s Not stuck, get out of my way”😂 Nice rescues!👍😎 Keep up the great videos, love the awesome beautiful scenery! God bless you and your family and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
Hi Alex, thanks for doing your part to let everyone know that trying to jump across open water is not always a good idea🫣😱😳😂
Exactly. He's enthusiastically embracing a new role as a PSA host(?) from the view of being a newbie (to Oregon). I have to say, his positive attitude is great!
Alex makes "poor life choices", so the rest of us don't have to; thanks Alex! Also, it's so fun to watch!
12:10 the slow motion was a great idea of that event ! LOL 👍🤣
I’m know I am late to this party, but the drone footage is fantastic. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks Casey and friends.
Those "TRACKS" just put FUN into your day!
Loved the video from the drone. Poor life choices keep you in business and us entertained. Good job guys.
Sure liked the music when the drone was flying.
I'm amazed at how much pulling power you have with that jeep.
I'm a native Idahoan currently living in Washington. I lived most of my life in California - but - none of those states can match the beauty of Oregon! I graduated high school in Oregon and went to OSU.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhj
@@jamesmccormick2696 lol
That drone transition was freaking mint dude
Sometimes temptation is too overpowering .... next time Alex, check your jumping off point ... that's what gave. Good times. Stay safe out there. Happy Monday morning.
Casey, I love your channel! Not only do we see awesome rescues and recoveries but we see the most gorgeous scenery I think I’ve ever seen. I know I will never see it in person so I’m living vicariously through you or through your eyes. Thank you so much for the beautiful and enjoyable video. Take care, stay safe.
Come for a visit. You will be stunned. :)
I agree! Between this channel, HeavyD, and Matt's Off Road Recovery, I have the towing and recovery entertainment, but a travel log as well!! Thanks!!😉👵🇺🇸
Those drone shots are beautiful!! 😯😮💖👵🇺🇸
Yes, between Casey, MORR, Trail Mater (& more); a person gets to see Utah, Idaho & Oregon. Beautiful forests & countryside! 💚🏞🛻🌳🌿🍁
Agreed, jaw dropping scenery!
The most important thing, however, is that the dogs have fun.
The switch from walking to drone shot was lovely. Very nice touch indeed :)
Whatever it takes to give us such lovely views of your part of the world.!!!
Go get stuck so Casey can rescue you !!!
Alex taking a drip in the water was great entertainment. Thanks Alex.
1:42 never ever fails LOL. That was truly a traffic jam where one would not expect it. Another great recovery Casey and so rad to see Alex and Johnny again! That had to be a rather cold drive home for Alex.
Casey...Your steam rolling...So many quality videos!!...super fast pace and great camera work.....Quite the work ethic
Thanks for the entertainment! Definitely poor life choices, especially without a change of clothes with you.
Drone footage of that lake area is amazing.
Winter camping is a lot of fun but need to not go alone and be prepared for the worse.
That's beautiful country!
What a phenomenal view with the drone. I was into the boundary waters of Minnesota June 2022 and imagine it’s like this during winter.
I absolutely love these little blooper clips like Alex going though the ice.. the lighter side of heavy recovery.. would love to see more if you got it
Always liked elk hunting in Oregon. Beautiful country.
Thanks Casey! Love the drone footage and the laughs.😂
. . . . . and a good time was had by all! That traffic jam was amazing - who would'a thought you could go 20 miles off road into the woods and end up in a traffic jam??! The scenery is, of course, beautiful - if you're going to get stuck, you might as well do it in a scenic place! The scenery is an added bonus to watching your rescues, and the dive into the lake was priceless.
I watched this whole video just to see Alex fall in. Thank you Alex, you made my day.
I love crane prairie res. Catch large mouth bass and crane bows. (Rainbows) thanks for more video’s of my back yard Casey you rock.
And the dogs were having the most fun.
Nice work! The beginning was funny! Truly a beautiful scenery out there! I wonder if that guys going to see this video of himself causing traffic cause he had to pee 😂
Good friends provide good entertainment 🤣
That had to be cold!🥶
12:03 🤣A "here, hold my beer" moment🧔♂+ 🍺= 🤕 Take care Casey, wet camera guy, and back-up smart guy.
First thing that came to mind was the beer comment!
I loved the drone footage - your editing has gotten to be amazing! Thank you!
Great video, got a few laughs out of it. I've rescued more than a few, been rescued & also coordinated a lot of rescues & it is especially true where you mention that when someone gets stuck they call everyone they know.
Alex ... Master content creator ... for the win !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad to see new places on go
The black dog is having a good time.
Beautiful country. And beautiful family.
Thanks for the help Casey
Sorry to for starting road block lol
I always appreciate a good faceplant...
Nicely done. Totally complimented a beautiful area.
Enjoyed the commentary about all the help. Nice the customer has friends willing to get stuck in the snow, to save him.
Recovering people out in God's country. What a beautiful place. Take care and be safe.
Great job , Casey ( as always ) , wonder how many of those guys looked at your rig and thought " cheater " . Hey Alex , that was very graceful there twinkle toes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Initial form was okay, but didn't stick the landing: 5.7! 😂😂👵🇺🇸
@@vickireynolds4055 well , the face plant deserves at least a 7.2
That was quite a rescue never seen a traffic jam. Wow what scenery Casey I can definitely see why people want to go there. Poor Alex it was hilarious 😂
Love the beginning, that was a trd off-road camry
Awesome recoveries but mostly beautiful country beautiful lake
Lol 😆 this is like one of those old british carry on comedies.....everyone getting stuck.
There's no half naked women getting stuck in the dryer or oven, though!
Thanks for the ride and the beauty of outdoors 😊
Wow that's beautiful Casey. And 🤣🤣🤣 didn't even get close to jumping all the way.
What a beautiful place. That's the first time that I have seen you in a traffic jam, there's everybody and then there's Alex how funny awesome content Casey keep up the awesome job. God bless you guys and as always be safe you to Alex
Great fly over of the lake. That would be a reason to get stuck trying to get there to camp for a night or the weekend. Thanks for another great video. Thanks Alex for the great life lesson. :-)
Gota love it when people floor it in the snow lol, Great recovery Casey!
That was cool , thanks again for a wonderful video.
I love it when guys get caught making a pee stop😅Beautiful scenery. Awesome try Alex. Thank you Casey for all you do in recovering the helpers. Enjoyed the video as always. Looking forward to the next one. Peace Out
How is it that one can be out in the middle of nowhere with no one around until one stops to take a pee? I think my odds run around 50/50 or so it seems.
One of my work sites is out by Crane Prairie reservoir! Good to see the area in winter. Love that country.
Spectacular views with the drone!
What a beautiful day for a recovery. You are putting out some amazing content. The tracked Jeep and the yankem rope are a dynamic duo. Popped right out of the hole. Great drone coverage. Have a great day. Be safe out there.
Great recovery and especially liked the drone footage. Like to see more of that!
We never see many snowmobiles on these roads. I'm guessing that's because there are designated trails. We have a lot of them in Michigan.
It's because the snow sucks this year so they're all trying to stay higher up the mountain where it's slightly softer than concrete
When he said "That's how you can tell it's a local", my first thought was "or someone from Michigan!" 6-8 in of snow is just a nuisance to us.
@Fred Mertz Snow is not one size fits all. The amount of traction it provides and its driveability can vary widely.
👍Thanks for sharing your day and the drone video 👍 Maybe you could advertise track Jeep rides from a trailhead location on a Saturday 👍🎉
I love the addition of the Drone. Your camera crew is coming together thank you for sharing your craziness
You definitely don’t baby the track system and that is good to show other people the abuse that they can take. I myself am amazed at the reliability of the tacks. I know rollers have to be replaced as they get bent but overall not that bad.
So far I've only had to replace 4 bogie wheels that I bent when I hit something in the snow. Other than that, no problems
Great scenery from the drone footage. Looks like old volcano on the edge of the lake.
Yes, pretty much everything you see is volcanic
All that you see are volcanoes and cinder cones It is glorious .
Great footage 😍
Good recovery and oh Alex you must have been so cold
Track jeep is AWESOME! Have you ever found snow too deep that track jeep CAN'T get through? I'd imagine with the flotation provide by them wide tracks it'll float through almost anything!
Yep, we did have to turn back on one when we were in about 4-5' of snow and it started raining. The snow was getting to wet and heavy to continue safety
As usual, you handled everything like a pro! Guy taking a leak in the middle of the woods on a back road... and someone shows up... I know the feeling!! LOL!! "Poor life choice" You are so kind! LOL!!!
I'm thinking that guy didn't bother to "read the tracks" that were litterally laid out in front of him. Even with sign of ONE rig on the raod already, i personally would have walked off to the side a bit to find a better tree. but, to each their own i guess.
Catching the crainbows when it first breaks up is the best.
First time I ever saw a JEEP with Tracks on it. COOL!! Did Alex learn a good lesson? Also some awesome aerial footage. Thanks!
Thanks for another great video Casey! Happy to see your channel grow 🤘. Erik in Gresham
Always fun going for a ride in the track Jeep. Thanks again for taking us along
Thank you for the scenery Casey, just stunning, and almost worth the price of a set of tracks just to be able to get there, in the winter.
God bless you for your service to the 4x4 community nutters just like me 🤣❤️🇷🇴
This adventure was a real ice breaker! Kind Thanks Guys! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Growing up with a group of equal age guys, all it would take was, you could never do that. Someone in the group had to try. Then have to live with the I can't believe you tried that all the way home. Great video, busy recovery and all is well. Thanks for sharing, Casey. Watched a lot of your videos since you showed up on Matts channel and will continue. Your fun, entertaining and the Oregon scenic views, add that much more.
How niccasey to take time to show us some beautiful country👏👏✔️✔️👊🏻💖😍😍💞💛❤️
Another nice one, loving the sidekicks
Wow...beautiful scenic views...
casey, cool in seconds everything stuck in the ice is back to normal, good job 👍👍👍
Great aerial footage.
Under cut banks near water can get you really easy even in the summertime as terra firma is actually further back than one thinks, First thoughts watching Alex taking the ice water plunge was that's going to make for a cold miserable ride home. Under different circumstances this could have turned life threatening due to hypothermia good thing he had a warm vehicle near by.
Life lessons learned best are the ones with the most uncomfortable consequences. I’d say this is a 6-7 out of 10. 😉
Great scenery!
That is a dream recovery vehicle that tracked Jeep keep up the vids✊👍🇬🇧😂
Thanks for getting Ariel videos of the lake I haven't seen any of the cascade lakes since my honeymoon in 2003. My old stomping grounds to bad Bend got so big otherwise I might have stayed there.
Beautiful drone shots of the lake.
I had to come back and watch this one again!! … For moral support, of course! 😂👌🏼🤩 You were the hero this day Alex, no matter what the outcome was ♥️
Also, I usually watch the commercials/ads thru.. it’s the best I can do to help support your good deeds!
That leaping video was majestic.
Beautiful country. Thanks Casey!
The music transition when Alex was on the ice was spot on (and funny, lol)!
Pretty sweet track set on your Jeep.
30 seconds in and this is content at it's finest 🤣🤣👏👏
DAAAAAMN CASEY!!!! That intro to your drone footage was AWESOME!!! NICE job with that bud!!!
My daughter saw you on screen and wanted to know where your sidekick was... Andica LOVES your adorable little girl!!!
Excellent video. It's nice seeing your group growing. Great additions when they are available.
Fantastic views! Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Great show Casey well done fantastic country..
Great video, beautiful scenery, hilarious when Alex just soaked
