- This is my short cut on how I removed the lower pulley with out the flywheel locking tool. No Chain or big screwdriver needed just a good set of Channel locks pliers.

Pure genius method for going solo having no impact. Big pipe on a 1/2” breaker was like butter for me. Thankful to find your vid and saving me time!!
Thank you very much for sharing. Removing the bolt was so easy.
Tried for a good few minutes with the impact a couple of times and after your vid came right off great work sir and thanks if noone else hasn't already said
Cool, thanks dude. I’m gonna try it now.
To any of yall confused about if its clockwise or counterclockwise, just look at the pliers location and you'll be able to figure it out...
Nice!! Plus you dont have to remove the starter so you save time and it's less work. Love it!
Thanks for the video, Devil dog, 0331 here..
Thanks so much for the info, worked great.
You’re the best!! Thank you!
You sir, are my hero
I used a 1/2” long extension that I ran through the spokes on the balancer
Perfect solution
Whats the socket size?
Thank you 🇨🇦👍
Are the threads clock wise or reverse?
Thank you cause I didn't want to take starter off I bought that holder tool for 20 buck off Amazon
You can rent the puller for free from most auto parts shops
This is for the bolt, has to come out before the puller can be used
What's the size of the bolt head
What was the reason you removed the Crank pulled?
Replaced oil pump and timming chain.
Please tell me you didn’t just tighten to 37 ft lbs . That is the first pass, 2nd pass is 140° around. It’s a torque to yield bolt.
LOL That was a miss quote.
Actually that is done after using old bolt to tighten to 240 ft/lbs...then use new bolt to 37 ft/lbs plus 140 degrees
Did I miss something?socket on bar to ground then crank it, effortless tho not a job on a hoist
I just did it, it was painless
Reliable your video bro. How to remove crank pulley bolt. No help man.
Is it left loosey apply or is it reverse threads
Standard Threads. Lefty loosey..
You need a powerful impact wrench for that and a GM puller for the harmonic balancer
Does lefty loosey apply or is it reverse threads
Did u figure it out
My Milwaukee 1/2 inch took mine off
Great video. It really helped me a lot. I have a question: at the beginning, I didn't block right the crankshaft pulley and it rotated a few degrees, Is this a problem or do I need to adjust the time chain?
Thank you!
I use a makita half inch drive nut buster lol and comes off faster than u can blink. No pry bar , chain , vice grip ,chip clip bs needed.
yours must have been taken out before, since i remove these almost every day and they ALL are stuck due to the loctite red on the flange bolt and my 750ft lb tire gun doesnt remove most of them. This is a good method and also have used it for years.
@@jeffwood4578 nope it’s just the power look into the Milwaukee half inch it does 1100 ft pounds. If time is money then u should look into them just saying but maybe your right idk give it a try
40ftlbs???
Why you don't remove the crank shaft pulley ..dont took do it
Did I miss the part where u removed it ?🤔🤦
No Sir, I didn't film that part. This was just a afterthought.
You never pulled it
I already had it off, but I didn't film that, this video is just a recap of how I got it off. Thanks
U didn't show anything just ran ur mouth wasted people time
There is too much talking, not enough doing. Also, a good heavy-duty impact will break it with less effort or stick a hefty long pry bar through it and brace it. Won't cause any issues whatsoever.
Not everyone has an air compressor to run it
@@shadowopsairman1583 Don't need an air compressor. Hefty electric impacts work the same. O have a Matco that has 1300ftlbs of take off torque
