    Chicken Noodle Casserole
    2-3 cups cooked chicken
10.5 ounce can cream of celery soup
10.5 ounce can cream of chicken soup
    1-1/2 cups chicken broth
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp paprika
    1 tsp thyme
    1 tsp salt (to taste)
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    dash cayenne pepper (optional)
dash of crushed red pepper (optional)
1 cup shredded cheese (I used combo mozzarella & mild cheddar)
frozen peas and carrots (I used 1/2 bag) (You could also use fresh but cook first)
    Noodles (1 - 1 1/2 cups cooked)
    1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 TBS butter (cut in pats)
Bake in a well greased baking pan in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until browned on top. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
    Enjoy!

Love it. And I love that you don't spend the whole video chit-chatting.

What I would put on top is homemade croutons. Nice texture and taste

Loved this recipe; simple downhome cooking that's fast, economical, uses pantry items, & filling...
Loved your awesome Corell baking dish too 😊

I can hardly wait to try this! Thank you so much! My mom had a set of Corell dishes. I remember her cooking and setting the table and the dishes were always the star of the show. I miss her so much 😢. This dish will definitely take me back to better times. Comfort food is the best. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤

Looks good ! What size baking dish did you use ?

    • @melaniescountrycooking
      @melaniescountrycooking  6 месяцев назад +2

Linn ~ I used a 10" x 10" baking dish, BUT I would suggest using a little bit bigger. It expands a little in the baking dish as it is cooking, mine was filled to the top! Thank you for watching!

@melaniescountrycooking I love that vintage Corell baking dish... we have a smaller one & large one like that too, & they're always the go2 dishes whenever we want a smaller casserole. They're hard to find, but true gems in the kitchen!!
Awesome recipe too BTW... thanks for sharing!

Darlene ~ You should be fine using a 9" x 13" baking dish with just using the original recipe. It does fluff up in the oven when it's cooking.

Great recipe. But i think your ingredient list is meant to say 2-3 cups of chicken, not pounds.

The nutritional values of so many of these recipes are difficult to fathom. The sodium, fat, and cholesterol levels are off the charts, and not something I even COULD consider. Don’t get me wrong: They look delicious, but having cooked light my entire adult life, I just can’t opt for 😅most of them.

Your are right Sandra! But it's still probably better than eating in a restaurant where you have no idea what is in your food. We all should eat healthier. Thanks for commenting & watching!
