Time Stamp 10:40 "We are citizens of the Earth" True. It is an economic reality. Our roots at birth never lose the memory of the soil we call home. Time Stamp 37:20 "A kid who's born here." The children will set new roots in a new land and remember the stories of their parents that they will pass along to their children.
Interesting perspectives from people who sought a better life abroad. I am glad you still have the emotional attachment with India. Indian economy is growing fast and I hope qualified people will find satisfactory jobs at home. Being a federal setup, the quality of governance varies from state to state. Some streets are business-friendly, while others are not. There is no corruption in the central government, but not so in many states. Brian drain is a concern.
The salary thing is interesting. Wonder what the thinking is. Perhaps thinking connections. I'd love you to come to my little town and take charge of things. I imagine you could create an amazing opportunity island.
A good beginning, will help the fence sitters to make up their mind, to go or not to go. The politicians may say you should stay and change the system, but what has changed in the past 78 yrs, no politicians or bureaucrats children study in Govt Schools, no decision makers go to Govt Hospitals, use public transport, it's only aam aadmi who are left to suffer, the vote bank politics of freebies and appeasement eats up the budget, no benefit to the country as such, then the reservation policy takes the cake, naturally the talent migrates where they are valued, one can't blame them for the mess brought upon us by the so called leaders.
