Just found this video. I wasnt picturing in my mind how this would mount, and how my electric fans would interact with the kit, but looks like it wont be an issue. It'll really clean up my engine bay even more. Thanks
How can you claim increase flow when the two thermostats are the same? The thermostats are the choke point of the system, the system pressure and flow rate of the thermostats were not increased. Seems like it's just eye candy, that no one will see. Post some flow rate numbers before and after.
Good point. Also with the design, it seems the sharp "machined channel" would cause more turbulent flow rather than the original rounded (and more open) laminar flow.
Yeah I agree and when it comes to doing work on the truck like replacing the fan clutch you'd have to remove the hose and drop coolant. It looks good just don't think good enough to have the extra work.
Wow that hsp set up is way cleaner then the wcfab stuff no question. Also it’s an actual cold air intake unlike the wcfab filter on a stick. Great video!
So I actually just realized something. We always talk about 90 degree bend are bad. And the stock housing has a 90 transition. But doesnt the kit use a 90 degree bent coupling from radiator to top tube? So the old routing eliminated any tight bends, but this one just moved the bend from the housing to the top radiator coupler. Im still ordering my kit, but the elimination of tight bends shouldn't be a way to sell this product. It cleans up the engine bay, it eliminates the turbo thermostat which could potentially damage a turbo if it fails, it eliminates the top steel tube which corrodes and leaks, (thats where mine is failing), and while doing all this, it looks spectacular too.
I actually just bought this kit for my lb7 just so I would have coolant constantly running through my turbo instead of having that awkward third thermostat🥴
Lol that stupid guard on the front of the radiator would have been the first thing to go for me 😊 I HATE those things. I usually quickly cut it out of there! Makes it impossible!
Being as this is my truck, I can tell you exactly why the colors were chosen. Blue and lime green are my favorite colors and I enjoy the colors together.
@@TruckMaster positive always comes off first. Not all systems are battery grounded, you could still complete a circuit with the positive wire attached and the negative removed.
iAm Wolfie If a circuit (continuity) is broken (open) at the source (battery) current cannot flow. The vehicle chassis may serve as ground but only because it is connected to the battery ground completing the circuit. As shown in the video, safe practice is disconnect ground first.
@@mattpettysc okay do me a favor. Disconnect your ground first. Take a jumper from your positive and touch it to the starter motor positive. See if your theory works

the thermostats are not the same ,thet are pimary and secondary
There's always got to be that one guy, huh??

Excellent video! That guy is very good at explaining his every step.
He’s awesome

I totally agree
Wc fab is trash
Those mirror caps and chrome on he rear bumper would look so good color matched.
I purchased a one piece Y bridge from HSP. 600 bucks and they couldn't even throw in the O rings. Had to go to napa and spend another 15 bucks.

I ordered it with the truckmaster code and saved $20.
Awesome glad that helped
@12:39 😂 that’s funny I just looked at the screen and looks like a blue quart of oil jug lol
Already have a lot of upgrades on my LB7 1st chance I get though I'm ditching all the old stuff in gone with the full HSP kit valve covers the works
GM makes a stock one of these meant for the Van versions.
I'll have to get that sometime this year. Great video.
Nice install video! 👍 cant wait to see my LML on your channel of the damn parts from HSP ever show up to diesel pros!! Lol Cant wait!!
Nice 👍 I will get that truck on the channel soon

Na man , this is like burning money just to impress people you dont even like ,
May I ask why you have to take the intake and y bridge pipe off
Why do you need to replace the oil fill neck with an LBZ one? or am i missing something
Awesome video man
Thanks 🙏
Good video thank you truck master
Thanks 🙏
Thx on the cool vid mr truck master
Thanks and no problem 👍
Why would you buy this? must be a hipster thing lol
Next time find someone who knows what he is talking about. Lol. He made that look to easy. Great video.
👍👍
I was thinking of a Chrome Water pump pulley Too.REALLY!
Another great video 👍
Thanks 🙏

Do u need to put alot of lbz upgrades on a stovk lb7 w less then 160K miles...aka mine is a 1 ton crew cab long box dually...4x4
awesome video
hard tosqueeze to see if ur headgaskets are bad now. will have to do pressure coolant test instead
Lol that stupid guard on the front of the radiator would have been the first thing to go for me 😊
I HATE those things. I usually quickly cut it out of there! Makes it impossible!
Are people running these turbos without coolant ?
Nice!!
Nice
Thanks
Where can I find that oil fill neck I like the shorter look
Cummins install would solve global peace 🙌🏻🤷🏻♂️
Too many problems
Junk
Cummins swap = installing gay dodge tow mirrors running with them up = total douche!
Honestly Cummins is a great motor but the mirrors are ugly af!
Is it my imagination ornis the HSP piping bigger in diameter than WCFab? The intake and intercooler pipes all look bigger.
I’m not to sure
do you have one for 2008 volkswagen passat 2.0turbo
Can it be used on a stock truck
Yes
Ok thx bruh you sell them or?
Where is the link?
So has anyone had problems with the fan and the pipe possibly hitting? Looks very close to call
No it fits good
Lemme guess 400 bucks lol no thanks
Is it me or do they look like brothers
All just for looks, if you can see it lol. The thermostats are still same
I looks good but it’s definitely worth it for the extra room in the engine bay
My gosh Cummins so much simpler 😢
Yep that's why you like it cuz you take the easy route. Duramax guys like a challenge.
I don't see the advantage vs dollars spent.Expensive eye candy.
You are describing 90% of the modified truck market.
That blue with green is just bad colors my opinion. Why..... blue looks nice, maybe black or chrome badge not green
Agreed
Being as this is my truck, I can tell you exactly why the colors were chosen. Blue and lime green are my favorite colors and I enjoy the colors together.
Okay as long as you like them that's what matters..
So much $ you have spent over the years, you shouldve just bought a cummins
That's even more money
This isn’t my truck he is working on but nothing beats a cat eye Duramax I’m my opinion 👍
Cummins sound like shit! dmax all the way
First third
First finally 😂
👍
Only because phones don't work in temps of 110 in Vegas
I stopped watching when the guy said take off the negative terminal first. SMH
What would you do? That’s how you are suppose to do it
Right..
