    I saw this YEARS ago in like 2014 and I was like “that’s so pretty!! The music makes me sleepy, this is so calming” and it took me a while but I found it again!!

    Watching an artist at work is like watching a magician spin tricks. You can watch the process from start to finish yet you are always floored by the end result! Their knowledge of colour combinations and shading is so impressive. I never get tired of watching these videos. Wonderful and incredibly inspirational - thankyou!

      I like them even more when they move slowly in real time. And yes, find very relaxing but definitely thinking of making covers for my already done journals. I have 48 of them. Have been doing them for years on plain black and white mottled cover composition notebooks. Bound. Not spirals so I would work right on them. But wonderful just to relax with. I'm an aspiring author so also thought they would make great book covers! Will watch more of Gabrielle's videos

      You definitely are not the only one. :D I have spent many hours watching beautiful tutorials and Gabrielle Pollacco is among my absolute favorites! I love the music she chooses, the speed of her videos, her creative compositions and the end results! Everything she touches turns out gorgeous!
      I have been part of the adult coloring-book craze for a couple years now and I'm just starting to dabble in other types of media--mostly watercolors--for a couple months now. But what I want to try most is the type of mixed-media that Gabrielle does. I can hardly wait!

      LOL...well, I used to run an etsy shop with a lot of my hand made things in it and it did very well....then I got a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder and had to let that go for a while. Once I was better I got so caught up in all my design team work and videos that I never got back to it again. But thank you, that is definitely something I should think about doing some day again (if I can just eek out the time for it :)

    This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I so want to learn how to work with mixed media. Where did you learn yo do this?? Also, what do you use to make your videos with and how do you support your camera to get such great shots without having to wrap your arms around a tripod? Thank you for sharing such a wonderful piece of art! :-)

    • @GabriellePollacco
      @GabriellePollacco  10 лет назад +2

      Thanks Diane, ....I use Movie Maker to edit my videos, it's a free download I got off the internet....it's easy to use but a little quirky sometimes, but it's one I'm familiar with. As for how I film, you would laugh if you saw my set up.....totally 'McGivered' (if you get the reference LOL)....I use a tripod that I sit on my table with a long flat stick attached with elastics. The stick hangs over my work surface....I then use my phone video camera (I have a very good video camera on my phone, I have the new LG G2, fabulous camera on it) ....I attach the camera with elastics to the stick and then film that way. I like that people can have a good birds eye view of my process this way :)

      If you have a Hobby Lobby locally, use their forty-percent off coupon to purchase the most expensive item. I don't remember the gesso being super expensive, and I know that you can make your own alcohol inks inexpensively...acrylics aren't expensive, and for the rest, I plan to try to use what I have. I'm going to try to make one using her texturing paste recipe and gesso and the few other supplies that I have at home. Mine may not be as cool, but I think I can come up with a product that I will be proud of. Also, I'm certain that next time (after I've added a couple more supplies) it will be even better!
