I don't buy many box sets mainly because I don't have large armies plus don't have the time but did pick this up and pretty happy with it so far. Really like the easy fit parts this should keep me busy for a bit
picked up mine at my flgs. Opened the box to check all the sprues(my indomitus box had damaged bikers.).Plan to spend Sunday afternoon reading through the book .
These boxes are pretty much considered to be classed as "Launch Boxes" as opposed to actual "Starter Sets", more aimed at existing players, while the later (now on pre-order at time of writing this) starter sets more aimed at new players with simpler step by step missions teaching the players the rules, and you know, honestly, I'm fine with that format, as long as the wait for the Starter Sets isn't too long from the Launch Boxes.
Interesting that the Lieutenant is on the same sprue as other things, I would have thought he'd be in the 'recruit' starter with the infernus marines then swap him for the captain and add the terminators for the 'elite/command' but this might mean hes only in this box and the Librarian will be in the 'recruit'... or I could just be way off...
Also got mine from Element Games, wearn't we supposed to get some freebies? GW - Playing Board Internet Stores - Markers, Tokens etc Independent stores - Dice bowl
Got mine on Friday. Although, I understand some people may be upset with the lack of customisation, for me it's a really nice set. Now I cannot wait for your reviews as I won't open mine till the end of September, because it's supposed to be my future birthday present ;)
@@Sup3rSaiy3n I always enjoyed your reviews so I doubt it should change now :) And to be honest, it was your reviews that convinced me to start collecting WH40K. Great job, keep it up mate!
I'm actually cutting of the pegs, evens switching around the storm bolter arms/power fists, so that they don't even look exactly the same as every other one. lol -I'm gonna be using mine for Horus Heresy via "Legacies" Troops, Indomitus Terminator Squad. Can't wait! 😁 Not gonna lie, but my Praetor in Tartaros Terminator Armour looks too cute next to the new Terminator. lmao!
I think Im gonna seat this one down and wait that they will hopefully release the space marine part separately. Great box though and great unboxing, Sup3r 👍🏻
13:18 it’s a little BS that they missed so many marine chapters. Seriously, missing the white scars and iron hands? On the other hand, glad the Raven guard are getting love from GW. Maybe we’ll get more rules/our primarch.
Totally new into warhammer and looking for my first box set. I saw that the number of army units is different gor each enemy faction. Is it still balance though so you can start play right with this box or not??
The game works on a points system. Whilst the Tyranids have lots of models, they are weaker and cost fewer points, whereas Terminators are strong, and so cost more points.
So wait, there are no dice, rulers included? I’m a 40 year old and always wanted to get into wh 40K (still have my old chaos space marines boxes I bought 20-ish years ago but never painted) and now I want to get into this with my significant other but don’t know where to start. I thought this was the all in one get started with the new stuff box? Am I better off getting some combat patrol boxes? (Hope you have the time to answer me, and thanks for the unboxing video)
If you want them grab it if not... Don't. The problem form my view of recommending this is that every person's financial and personal hobby preferences are different
The price ($420AUD), the ETB/Lack of options on these kits, the fact its half nids and knowing that these will most likely be individual full kit releases later on sold me on NOT buying this box lol
So same as indomitus then, cool. Knowing they most likely is the same as not knowing and specualtion. Unless something official has been confirmed then no-one ‘knows’ they will get full kit releases. You will be paying over $110 per separate release. There are over 10 units in this set. You mentioned half nids as if you don’t collect them. Maybe split the box with a friend?
@Sup3rSaiy3n None of the people i know who could have split it with like nids, and i dont want to deal with the hassle of selling them online. Oh, i bought Indomitus something about that box grabbing me more. I love the new Termis. I'm not a huge fan of the new sternguard, dont mind em but still prefer the old firstborn kit. As for the pricing, i want options lol. Guess im too old and are used to the older kits (been around since 3rd)
@@sigmatus303 no worries mate. Yeah totally agree, I would rather pay more for more options. Bladeguard are a good example of that. Unfortunately some of the recent releases such as chaos cultists and Jakhals are full price with no options. I hope we get a full kit for the terms.
Agree mate i started playing in the 90s lol. I have some of the old books where they encouraged you heavily to make your own terrain design your own regiment/chapters etc etc. Not a fan of the way theyve dont the primaris captains either single load outs etc
This isn't the starter set though, same way Indomitus wasn't. This is the limited edition box. The starter set comes later with dice etc (the Indomitus version was called the 'Command Edition')
RUclips is still processing. If you would like to watch in 4K give it another 2hrs
@@Dreamzkape no need to reply to the pinned message with something unrelated. I read the messages in the comments.
Was definitely worth with the third party stores discount
Christmas comes early
LET'S GO!!!
At least you can unbox your set. Still waiting on mine

I'm not that interested in this box set, but I do enjoy the unboxing video. I'll buy a rule book later. 👍
Living vicariously through these unboxing vids... On holidays and hoping the post office isn't gonna steal it from the store house
Depends if is wrapped with Warhammer tape 😅
Can't wait to get home to open mine up
Mine is en route through the warp, splitting it with a friend!
I think all these kits will be released as a separate multipart kit.
I think so too
They'll probably just cost a fortune.

Still waiting for mine to be delivered. Thanks, GW.
I got a sweet too with my Element box - you were short changed mate!
805pts Nids + 975pts Sm =1780 pts 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Really hope i can find that lieutenant solo somewhere in my country.
Also got mine from Element Games, wearn't we supposed to get some freebies?
GW - Playing Board
Internet Stores - Markers, Tokens etc
Independent stores - Dice bowl
Maybe contact them about this
Still waiting for mine, the shop had too many preorders and they struggle to ship them all

Yes this doesnt have those items. There might be newer set coming out that do
I wish mine wasnt going to be a week late
Would you recommend this set for someone like me who doesn’t play 40k at all but just collects the miniatures?
If you want them grab it if not... Don't. The problem form my view of recommending this is that every person's financial and personal hobby preferences are different
You will get a lot of miniatures for little outlay, so easily worth it.
No ruler then that's a shame they should put ruler in there😢
6:14 - Thank me later
isnt there supposed to be a preorder bonus?
yeh the dice from EG. Different sellers have different bonus's. Purchasing this from EG saves £30 over GW
@@Sup3rSaiy3n cheers for the heads up, got mine at eg as well but was looking forward to the tokens but hey ho
Are you upset about the simplicity of the sprues, or are you impressed? Your tone of voice is confusing me lol
