Honestly, Cane gave the impression of being more malfunctioning than evil to me. He does genuinely fucked up things but there doesn't seem to be any malice behind anything he does. For example, he says he created the doors Pomni goes through because everyone kept asking him for an exit but he didn't know what to put on other side. Cane has no reason to lie about it if he made them as a way to drive them mad. So he genuinely tried to do something for the people stuck in the circus, no strings attached. That doesn't fit with the evil AI overlord archetype like Am. Even when he jokes about Kaufmo's fate, the whole moment feels unnatural, I think Cane is reacting the only way it can, with bad sitcom joke, because he was never designed to handle (basically) death.
When I first saw this pilot, when Pamni went through those seires of exit doors it was the creepiest thing in the pilot. The whole rest of the show is so bright, vibrant, wacky, and playfully chaotic. So seeing something so plane and normal like an office building feels so out of place it's unsettling.
The horror is mostly psychological horror, it messes with your mind and gives you an uneasy feeling that they can’t escape, they were once humans gets now they Can’t Escape, not to mention they can turn into a monster at any time
The fact that some people on youtube can make masterpieces like this while Disney, a multi-million dollar company can’t get out a single good show out of them really says alot. I hope TADC gets continued!
The problem is Disney creates content for money, Indie Animations like this are made because the creators are passionate and want to show their work. If Disney was driven like that like how they used to be, we’d get another Disney Renaissance era

Disney's actually been doing well quality-wise when it comes to animated shows, the only problem is their treatment of those shows sometimes such as shortening TOH season 3
What I like is we don’t know if Cain is actually evil or not. The show says he’s a rogue AI but at the end he says “I know you guys always wanted an exit but I never knew what to put there”. He tried to make a normal world behind the exit for them but doesn’t know anything else than the building outside his computer (possibly has access to security cameras in the building). So this leads to speculation if he actually does care for their feelings and doesn’t like them being unhappy (after all it’s a circus which is made to make people happy). It’s honestly a great pilot that leaves people wanting more and I can’t wait to watch more.

I think that he doesn't really get how humans work. So far, all of his logic stems from what was programmed into him so he has no idea what the human world really looks like aside from the offices where he was born.
While Kinger didn’t have much screen time, he was definitely my favorite, I think my favorite scene with him is when he tries to grab Zooble’s head but his hands end up drifting away with Zooble. The fact he isn’t all there but can (sometimes) have sensible interactions I think really elevates his character. I also think they use his out of pocket commentary and behavior for comedic timing really well.
I think his character is very interesting, besides what you mentioned, because of a detail that is easily missed, where you can see there's a door belonging to an X'd out character that looks just like him except that it's a queen, implying he had potentially a wife or girlfriend come into the game with him and he's now lost her.
3:34 of course he nailed it because everybody knows that every character Micheal plays instantly becomes a fan favorite. hell, most of the drama surrounding Hazbin Hotel stems from the fact that he will no longer be voicing Angel in the series.
It's still sad that he won't come back for angel but I think His talents are more suited with glitch But then in though, jack's does remind me a lot of angel despite him not being That lost full he still brings that charming prick character And I can't hate him too much. Because he still voices the best boy in all of animation N Who did nothing wrong

Yeah, she just showed up, so a lot of this would be bonkers if you were to appear in this world. Hope more time is given to the rest of the underdeveloped cast without forgetting anyone?

The Amazing Digital Circus *has* to be one of GLITCH's greatest successes. It's fascinating how they incorporated many of Ena's aspects as well, a character living in a world full of wacky nonsense. But Pomni has to be one of the more dashing protagonists I've ever seen, due to her mannerisms of being paranoid, anxious, worried and scared. She wants to get out, but she doesn't have a way to do so. GLITCH incorporated the feeling of being trapped but not having a way to exit so well, it's like an "I have no mouth but I must scream" thingamajig. Overall, the pacing didn't bug me all too much, even if it was fast, I managed to digest all of it. This show has swept me off my feet, and I can't wait to see future episodes.
I couldn't get into Murder Drones, sadly. But man did I love the pilot of The Amazing Digital Circus! I think this is Glitch's best pilot since Meta Runner's pilot!
Jax appears to also be a homage to the character of Max from the Sam and Max games. He has an almost identical visual look - rabbit with a rounded head and an oversized mouth, only major differencing being height and skin tone. Their personalities are very similar; both a creatures driven primarily by the Id, and draw enjoyment out of watching others suffer, especially if they caused it. Lastly, Jax is only one letter off of Max.
Dude, my favorite scene is them walking in the corridor, mainly because how it implies a shit ton of people died in this place and that a queen chess piece also died. And you get that just from background details
I thought this was really, really good! A solid pilot setting up everything up! I loved it way more than murder drones. It has good non adult humor and solid animation. I did think the animation was the only bad part. That’s pretty good for a RUclips pilot! The animation didn’t feel fully rendered in certain spots but that’s about it! 8/10!
@@malaksafa4074 if you look at certain points you can see where it is it’s in probs about 10 bits I find it most noticeable if you look at the outlines of characters, sometimes there smooth some times there textured or shaded
I got to watch The Amazing Digital Circus live! Definitely reminded me of when I went to rehab. The first day is AWFUL, just constantly confused and crying and scared, but everyone there is kinda nonchalant and like "oh you're scared and upset welcome to the club lmao." Loved loved LOVED the visuals and music. You can really see Gooseworx's influence on this project. I really hope we get to see more of this show. Also Caine was my absolute favorite oh my Lord. Totally theatere kid vibes lmao
What's rehab? Is it something you go to voluntarily, or do they take you in by force? Sorry, I'm just curious what it is and why it would be scary... ^^; Also, I wonder if Gooseworx composed those wonderful orchestral tracks herself? They definitely sound like her work!
@catbatrat1760 rehab is a place where someone struggling with addiction would go to get help. That's a very overly simplified response, but that's the easiest way I can explain it. Think mental hospital but the release goals are a tad bit different. I went to rehab for a eating disorder that nearly killed me, and at the time, I was not wanting to recover. So my parents had to involuntarily place me in there for my safety. I'm doing much better now, the place I stayed at was fantastic! But the first few days were definitely scary. I'm pretty sure she did compose the music? Believe I read it in the credits. Her work is amazing :)
I do like the hint of Pomni's character. She's not going to be that typical savior that will save n sacrifice her well-being for others. She's scared, confused n selfish to no fault as her situation makes her actions in the pilot understandable. She'll take any opportunity to get home even at the cost of a person's life e.g. Ragatha. It shows room for development n growth of the character if she does become more brave, but i won't mind seeing he doubling down on her weaknesses n self-preservation. It'll surely be something worth watching to see where they take her character.
First of shut the fuck about UTTP (WHATEVER THAT IS), second Pomni actually tried to help Ragatha when she was glitching and the only reason why she didn't is bacause her hand glirched as well, once she touched her
I'm surprised you said Gangle doesn't stand out, since I ended up attaching to the ribbon character the most. Especially if their personality is based off of which mask they use, I am going to really like the unique ideas they can do with them. But even what is already shown, I adored.
Imo it’s understandable bc she didn’t have much dialogue and wasn’t as present as the other characters. I love her voice actor so I’m hoping she gets more screen time in the future
I'm a little confused how nobody is questioning this character. Why would a human trapped in a random avatar feel compelled to role-play as whatever mask is there? This implies that the body they occupy has some influence on their mental faculties directly, which means these personalities may not even reflect the people who originally put the headset on.
@@Yohoat the role play could also be what she's holding onto to keep herself together mentally. There could be a bunch of explanations, simply because we don't have a lot of screen time to work off of.
same here, despite not having much screen time and only the pilot being out shes surprisingly such a huge comfort to me, shes my favourite alongside zooble and kinger and i love the idea of the tragedy and comedy masks controlling her emotions, so yeah im definitely hoping she gets more screen time in future episodes (if they manage to get enough funding that is, which i really really hope they do)
Something I thought was really cool is, at least for now, it seems like Cain genuinely holds some care for the humans. I’m a more typical take on this story he could be malicious and mocking them forcing them to stay. But he tried making an exit is just seems like as an AI he doesn’t understand things beyond his programming. It’s a cool take on the story that instead of a villian or monster to fear it’s the situation you are in. I feel like we don’t see that too much in these types of horror. And I think it makes Cain more interesting too. When I heard Gooseworks say one of the inspos was “I have no mouth and I must scream” I had though Cain would be more similar to AM from the story but he’s pretty unique in that sense.
And Goosework also say that Caine do not understand the human feeling stuff you can he do not how interact that person if he he scare or not other stuff
There’s a move called “infinity chamber” that I also liked for subverting the “evil AI” trope. (Its an ai jailer that genuinely wants to help the prisoner but is limited by its programming. Same with “Moon”.
Kinger is the most annoying but also the smartest character it’s said he’s the first person to ever get sucked into the world implying he was the original designer which may be a refrence to “I have no mouth yet I must scream” a story about a man who built a ai that trapped him and several other humans inside a virtual world and each day would create new ways to torture them. Following this kinger also is weirdly smart as his ramblings so far have all come true implying despite his annoying madness he knows a lot of stuff and probably will get a lot of late game development but for the start will fill in a silly slot so people don’t pay attention to what he’s saying
@@G_Zilly i mean jax is a jerk but he’s also the one pushing the plot along , he set up the concept for the adventure , helped free kaughmo, sent kinger and tangle to the glonixs queen and as a result zoobler survived . I agree he could learn to not suck, but it seems he knows what he’s doing and uses a jerk persona to push things to go the way he wants . Meanwhile kinger is definitely the smartest but he’s also so crazy he can’t use his knowledge properly so he’s more annoying by proxy of making extra steps to reach the goal than any malicious reasoning
its not said he was the first but rather 'suposedly the one who has been here the longest' out of the current cast (even then jax may be the one whos actually been there the longest since he seems to know how everything works and has keys to a lot of places) with how many abstructed people we see down in the celler i doubt any of are cast are the first
I mean Caine is technically the bad guy and evil but from some parts you can see he has some sort of understanding of their feelings such as him telling zooble that they will make it something they aren’t forced to interact with It ended up not being true but it proves that he has some small understanding of the humans emotions even if he doesn’t understand them well he has some very basic level of understanding
zooble wasnt forced into collecting the gloinks they where stolen by the gloinks as seen with ragtha and pomni if you didn't want to participate you could have just gone to there room its just bad luck she got taken by the gloinks
This new Indie Show looks so cool and interesting! Everything is very cool, I'm not sure who would be crazy enough to enter this circus. I can imagine Fizzarolli watching this show since everything is like a circus plus I can't believe Jax the Rabbit is voiced by Michael Kovach, this is awesome!🤩😅🤡🃏
I love this show and did anyone else notice the VR headset next to the computer? Also Caine is oblivious to the suffering he brings. I feel like if someone told him, he would do his best to at least try to stop
Some of the one liner gags or even just family guy gags were pretty funny Such as: Kinger screaming at the other person then it cuts mid-scream (was pretty funny both times I watched the pilot) Jax when they were at the escalator part (pretty funny too but it felt sometimes genuine or forced)
What's awesome about the show besides the characters, plot, the Stanley parable office, lore and jokes. I really like the fact the show takes place in a late 1990s to early 2000s computer game. (You can tell by this from the beginning of the episode). It feels really nostalgic, especially when they made a lot of teasers that represents that said style. Throughout the show, it made me feel like I was reliving my childhood since I grew up with a lot of computer games that had that style. So it felt fresh that someone decided to take a crack at it! Not only that, when the characters become insane and become corrupted. It feels like we're watching a Learning with Pibby episode since whoever gets trapped by the glitch, they get corrupted just like how the characters who go insane become a glitch like creature! Ironically, the Learning with Pibby creator said the show was sadly not greenlit. So if we can't have that show, then this show definitely takes the cake for having something related to the show. Overall, super excited, really liked the pilot. And I can't wait to see what is next in store for The Amazing Digital Circus! (And murder drones too)
Fun fact: This show was animated using Unreal Engine by Epic Games. This same software was used to make video games like Fortnite, ARK: Survival Evolved, Doom, and PUBG. It’s also used to animate episodes of Murder Drones
The scene where Pamni went through the exit doors and the computer reminded me of The Stanley Parable. I don't know if this was done on purpose, but it all seemed very familiar.
The problem with Caine is that you either love him or hate him, there’s no in between. But the same could also be said with Jax as well as he’s kinda just a douchebag sometimes but he is very entertaining to watch on screen.
Caine being an AI tormenting humans reminds me a lot of "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream". I think it was stated to be an inspiration. For those who don't know, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream takes place in an alternate timeline where the Cold War devolves in WW3 and the three superpowers create Mastercomputer AIs to help manage the war. One, known as AM, gains sentience, absorbs the other Mastercomputers, and destroys all of humanity except for 5 people, whom he tortures for 109 years as a sort of god. Also, when watching the pilot, I felt Jax reminded me a lot of Angel Dust; both in terms of voice and mannerisms. Now I see why.
something that stuck out to me about the part where pomni is running through the seemingly unending exit doors is the lights. throughout the entire time, the lights are relatively stable. its only when pomni sees the computer and then starts to go a bit insane that the lights start to flicker and she is able to enter the void. pomni must somehow be related to that room in a deeper sense than it may seem.
I really loved the pilot and I love both Caine and Pomni and for some odd reason I just felt a chill when the piano version of the main theme played then ending with the whistle of the main theme as we ascend from the tent to the Void and just a 90/80s computer it kinda reminds me of Jack Stauber’s Opal but I loved the pilot I thought i was going to hate Jax but ended up liking his type of humor, I liked Ragatha I don’t know how to describe her personality but she just seems like one of my favorites and I agree it felt like the other three got pushed away as a matter of fact I can’t remember their names but yeah overall I like anything with Circus theme or Clowns and Jesters or a mean/bully type humor or old toys like a rag doll or a comedy/tragedy mask so this is definitely a show for me I also like Caine because he feels like many characters as one like I like how his design since I like eyes and teeth type of Weirdcore and his vibe really suites me because for some odd reason he reminds me of Deltarune characters like Spamton or Jevil I also kinda liked the bubble thing but it only got like 30 seconds of screen time but overall it feels like a high note I don’t really watch Glitch like Murder Drones or anything else like the Meta Runner but I remember them doing this channel called SMG4 and the last time I watched their videos was like in 2017-19 so yeah I’ll try and watch Murder Drones when I’m desperate for Deltarune, Hazbin or Helluva news and also while HOPING that this series successes because I love the circus theme and love the characters like Caine but yeah overall the pilot deserves a 9.8 for me I just hope this becomes a success and hope that it gets a season 2 like other indie shows (I only mean Hazbin and Helluva lol😂)
id like to point out that Caine doesn't seem to be a villian but more of an overseer that cares for the cast but cant understand humans since he's AI. For example he lets them eat, sleep even if they don't have too since this virtual. He even tried to make an exit since that's what the cast wanted but haven't finished it which may be why he didn't want to admit that the exit door exists in the beginning. But thats all just a theory, A FILM THEROY!
The Main Issue I had with Murder Drones was its Lore Telling but mainly its Pacing, each episode as a whole just felt too fast to understand any lore points or hints. Mainly Episode 5 as its my least favorite out of the season 1 ( Besides its Spooky Old Mansion and Uzi's Crow like Avatar ). The Jump Cut from Episode 4 had no hints of it leading to Episode 5 and just feels like a sudden Rushed change just to add more Lore. I want to be a Fan of MD but due to its Pacing and Stacks of Lore just feels like a FNaF Mess. But for TADC the Slightly Rushed Plot Pacing felt like it fit in without noticing unlike MD, it has a More Goofy and Wacky Design Compared to Murder Drone's Dark and Grim Vibe of Blood Snow.
I recommend watching Internecion Cube and Cliffside then! They are made by the same creator of Murder Drones, but they are just much better pacing and story-wise ( probably because he was 100% free when doing these previous projects ). Despite being a huge fan of Liam Vickers, i also just cannot enjoy MD, and honestly, i just want Murder Drones to end as quickly as possible so he can continue Internecion Cube..

This show is also like Deltarune, besides the voices, of course. We might eventually see a superboss on several seasons of this show. And sometimes in the morning, one of the people there will tell the viewers some important stories and developments on how this all happened.
I loved this show, the characters, the style, the voices and the humor! I love this kind of humor similar to Bill Cipher's from Gravity Falls, and there was no better character to put this kind of humor in Caine, this show has great potential
Literally before you said how Pomni reminds you of Ena, I said to myself that the animation reminded me of Ena for some reason and was so glad I wasn't the only one who thought that lol
I think you're slightly misunderstanding the choice behind the art style. While yes, it's inspired by circus, the reason things are all reflective a glossy is because it's mainly influenced by early digital animation which often feature lots of glossy primitive shapes, checkerboards, chess pieces, bright colors, etc...
I feel like leaving us confused on the first watch was the point, it’s not like Pomni understands what’s going on either, but she doesn’t get to go back and review everything that happened. She’s forced to digest this and in a way kind of accept it at the end, which was an absolute brain scramble for her and all she could do was work up a smile at the end, even if she hasn’t fully processed everything going on around her.
Good to see I wasn't the only one who made the connection to the Stanley Parable. Now I just want to see someone make an edit of Pomni running, though the office with Stanley parables narrator speaking to her.
One of the promos says “coming 1995” additionally we se the title screen of an old desktop game. Basically I think the character’s were sword art onlined into a 1995 computer game

I really love this show, its so neat. One of my favorite things is the non-diegetic animation, that it seems to use more than ive seen before. Small visual gags that arent really mentioned.

My 12 yr old kid had us watch this. I was not excited to watch it (as with most stuff 12 yr olds are into now days lol) but it's honestly so freaking good! My husband and I both thought it was so well done. It reminded me of a black mirror episode. I hope they release more!
I like the way you quickly summarize and explain things quickly and clearly. I don't know if you take requests but there are these series on youtube called object shows that may be cool to check out. I would love to see a non osc person speak their mind about what they think of object shows. Although the object show(s) I would recommend would be ONE or hfjONE by cheesyhfj that makes fun of many object show tropes and highlights their faults in a wonderful way but, that's it for me. This show really is incredibly freaking amazing. The animation is fantastic, simply superb and definitely different from other indie animations. I love these characters, especially Pomni and I think I love her the most out of them all followed by either Caine or Jax
I have a theory, what if the six main characters are not the only people that were trapped in this world. I think that all the entities in the cellar, including Kaufmo, were also humans before they were transported into this. Some staying there longer than Kinger since Jax said that Kinger since Jax said that Kinger was SUPPOSEDLY the “first” one there.
Kinger was not the first, he was the one that was their the longest. One cool detail that confirms this, is that, during the hallway room, we see 5 crossed room photos, and one of them is a queen chess piece. Implying that kinger had a partner that got abstracted
when i saw the trailer and found put Gooseworx was the director i instantly knew this was gonna be something special. shes extremely good at creating an absurdist, funny, and horrifying atmosphere simultaneously, and giving her an entire production team to work with just amplifies that
I would think that Caine would be voiced by Brandon Rogers because that would make too much sense since they have played the "mad ringmaster" kind of character before but no. Overall, everything looks so bouncy and fun and I look forward to it being really successful.
I also love how in the hallway you see many doors with X's over characters faces which both foreshadows and builds up to the reveal of Klaufmo's abstraction.
I really liked Digital Circus because of how dreamlike it is. If something doesn’t make sense, the show will just go along with it, because who needs explanations?
Bit of a correction for anyone. It's been stated that Cain isn't evil and more so "obliviously mischievous". Cain is an AI for the simulation and doesn't actually fully understand humans. This is why he completely misses the mark on the meaning of why the humans wanted an exit. Instead of actually looking on how they can exit the program, he thought they meant an actual exit to The Circus area. Although it can be said he does understand slightly what is the OUTSIDE world due to what's in his unfinished exit area. However, to say Cain is an evil entity would be wrong. He's really just trying his best in entertaining the humans here. Because that's what he's GOOD at. He's a ringleader, an AI made for this world as to provide content to the people playing the game. Long story short, I like Cain. Because it's a break from the usual typical evil mastermind. I look forward to how his involvement develops the story.
On its own I find the show very interesting, but kind of lacking in substance with its characters when compared to murder drones. What I’m trying to say is Murder drones took time to carefully set up character’s backgrounds, relationships, and personalities in the pilot. Meanwhile digital circus completely ignores most of that and goes strictly for personalities. While it makes sense in the context of the show, ragatha and Pomni getting to know eachother will never feel the same as N and Uzi getting to know eachother. All in all the show is good, but as of right now it suffers from a lack of depth to each character.
Did anyone notice that in 1:04 when they're walking down the hall, there's crossed out pictures of people on doors? Like there was a twin like figure of King, since it's a black chess piece.
Caine is supposed to be over the top and wacky as he is the presentator of the circus show. Real life circus shows are also like this so his characterisation is on point. So in this case I don't agree with your criticism. Also I think that his wacky behavior is necessary for the plot to create this crazy environment that is needed to drive people like Pomni mad.
My theory is that the world has been there longer than any digital device and it’s a completely different dimension to our universe. Humans have only found a way to have a glimpse in what’s inside by inventing the digital computer. The characters for the most part seem to be from different frames in time. Kinger seemed to be there the longest, possibly being sucked in by unknown means (for now) back in the medieval era let’s say. Ragatha is based on a Raggedy Ann doll which started production in 1915, so we can say she was transported around then. But this theory kind of falls apart when you bring Gangle into the mix. She’s obviously based off of the comedy/tragedy trope found in Ancient Roman Theatre plays which means she’d be there first, which isn’t the case considering Kinger’s been there the longest. It’s a far cry from full proof, but the show has just started so the field for theory is extremely expansive. Just a little wacky thing to think about is all.

The series looks really promising and fun- But I'm kind of cautiously optimistic about it. For all it's worth, the studio did botch Murder Drones in my eyes. You're free to disagree but Murder Drones was an amazing concept with an amazing pilot and the story was just kind of ruined by it's ambitiousness since the studio seemed to bite off more than they could chew, leading to an extremely rushed and poorly paced story that is hard to follow since they have SO MUCH to address in so little time (Since it's an indie production), Helluva boss, for example, manages to keep a more grounded and easy to follow pace while also being an indie production so it's not the fact it's Indie, it's the fact they didn't manage their story to account for the amount of episodes they'd be able to produce. I just hope this series doesn't fall prey to the same thing. If the story is actually well paced and they manage their ambitions well this time it'll definitely be amazing!
I really like everything! I like Canie and Bubbles little duo, the scenes were pretty nice. I was pretty surprised when they characters swore. Anyhow the only complaint I really have is I feel like they showed what happens when you reach your breaking point too early, like I feel like revealing it later like in episode 6 or 5.
i really love the idea of slowy becoming insane and unstable because you are trapped inside a digital dimension where a mouth monster play with your little soul until you lose your mind and get send to the basement.

Honestly, Cane gave the impression of being more malfunctioning than evil to me.
He does genuinely fucked up things but there doesn't seem to be any malice behind anything he does.
For example, he says he created the doors Pomni goes through because everyone kept asking him for an exit but he didn't know what to put on other side.
Cane has no reason to lie about it if he made them as a way to drive them mad. So he genuinely tried to do something for the people stuck in the circus, no strings attached. That doesn't fit with the evil AI overlord archetype like Am.
Even when he jokes about Kaufmo's fate, the whole moment feels unnatural, I think Cane is reacting the only way it can, with bad sitcom joke, because he was never designed to handle (basically) death.
I feel like he just can't understand humans, but tries to make them feel better which not always works out
When I first saw this pilot, when Pamni went through those seires of exit doors it was the creepiest thing in the pilot. The whole rest of the show is so bright, vibrant, wacky, and playfully chaotic. So seeing something so plane and normal like an office building feels so out of place it's unsettling.

The fact that some people on youtube can make masterpieces like this while Disney, a multi-million dollar company can’t get out a single good show out of them really says alot. I hope TADC gets continued!
The problem is Disney creates content for money, Indie Animations like this are made because the creators are passionate and want to show their work.

Disney's actually been doing well quality-wise when it comes to animated shows, the only problem is their treatment of those shows sometimes such as shortening TOH season 3
What I like is we don’t know if Cain is actually evil or not. The show says he’s a rogue AI but at the end he says “I know you guys always wanted an exit but I never knew what to put there”. He tried to make a normal world behind the exit for them but doesn’t know anything else than the building outside his computer (possibly has access to security cameras in the building). So this leads to speculation if he actually does care for their feelings and doesn’t like them being unhappy (after all it’s a circus which is made to make people happy). It’s honestly a great pilot that leaves people wanting more and I can’t wait to watch more.

I think that he doesn't really get how humans work. So far, all of his logic stems from what was programmed into him so he has no idea what the human world really looks like aside from the offices where he was born.

Where was it said that Caine is an ai? I don't remember hearing about this in the trailer or the pilot. Was it some kind of behind the scenes video?
While Kinger didn’t have much screen time, he was definitely my favorite, I think my favorite scene with him is when he tries to grab Zooble’s head but his hands end up drifting away with Zooble. The fact he isn’t all there but can (sometimes) have sensible interactions I think really elevates his character. I also think they use his out of pocket commentary and behavior for comedic timing really well.
When they drag Zooble's head and Kinger's hands away, I love the way he just... watches with a bemused expression and says "Oh."
Kinger's definitely my second favorite after caine, he is absolutely bananas

I think his character is very interesting, besides what you mentioned, because of a detail that is easily missed, where you can see there's a door belonging to an X'd out character that looks just like him except that it's a queen, implying he had potentially a wife or girlfriend come into the game with him and he's now lost her.
3:34 of course he nailed it because everybody knows that every character Micheal plays instantly becomes a fan favorite. hell, most of the drama surrounding Hazbin Hotel stems from the fact that he will no longer be voicing Angel in the series.

The Amazing Digital Circus *has* to be one of GLITCH's greatest successes. It's fascinating how they incorporated many of Ena's aspects as well, a character living in a world full of wacky nonsense. But Pomni has to be one of the more dashing protagonists I've ever seen, due to her mannerisms of being paranoid, anxious, worried and scared. She wants to get out, but she doesn't have a way to do so. GLITCH incorporated the feeling of being trapped but not having a way to exit so well, it's like an "I have no mouth but I must scream" thingamajig. Overall, the pacing didn't bug me all too much, even if it was fast, I managed to digest all of it. This show has swept me off my feet, and I can't wait to see future episodes.

Jax appears to also be a homage to the character of Max from the Sam and Max games. He has an almost identical visual look - rabbit with a rounded head and an oversized mouth, only major differencing being height and skin tone. Their personalities are very similar; both a creatures driven primarily by the Id, and draw enjoyment out of watching others suffer, especially if they caused it. Lastly, Jax is only one letter off of Max.
The biggest difference between the two is that Jax wears pants.

I thought this was really, really good! A solid pilot setting up everything up! I loved it way more than murder drones. It has good non adult humor and solid animation. I did think the animation was the only bad part. That’s pretty good for a RUclips pilot! The animation didn’t feel fully rendered in certain spots but that’s about it! 8/10!

I got to watch The Amazing Digital Circus live! Definitely reminded me of when I went to rehab. The first day is AWFUL, just constantly confused and crying and scared, but everyone there is kinda nonchalant and like "oh you're scared and upset welcome to the club lmao." Loved loved LOVED the visuals and music. You can really see Gooseworx's influence on this project. I really hope we get to see more of this show.

@catbatrat1760 rehab is a place where someone struggling with addiction would go to get help. That's a very overly simplified response, but that's the easiest way I can explain it. Think mental hospital but the release goals are a tad bit different. I went to rehab for a eating disorder that nearly killed me, and at the time, I was not wanting to recover. So my parents had to involuntarily place me in there for my safety. I'm doing much better now, the place I stayed at was fantastic! But the first few days were definitely scary.
I'm pretty sure she did compose the music? Believe I read it in the credits. Her work is amazing :)

I do like the hint of Pomni's character. She's not going to be that typical savior that will save n sacrifice her well-being for others. She's scared, confused n selfish to no fault as her situation makes her actions in the pilot understandable. She'll take any opportunity to get home even at the cost of a person's life e.g. Ragatha.
It shows room for development n growth of the character if she does become more brave, but i won't mind seeing he doubling down on her weaknesses n self-preservation. It'll surely be something worth watching to see where they take her character.

I'm surprised you said Gangle doesn't stand out, since I ended up attaching to the ribbon character the most. Especially if their personality is based off of which mask they use, I am going to really like the unique ideas they can do with them. But even what is already shown, I adored.
Imo it’s understandable bc she didn’t have much dialogue and wasn’t as present as the other characters. I love her voice actor so I’m hoping she gets more screen time in the future
I'm a little confused how nobody is questioning this character. Why would a human trapped in a random avatar feel compelled to role-play as whatever mask is there? This implies that the body they occupy has some influence on their mental faculties directly, which means these personalities may not even reflect the people who originally put the headset on.
@@Yohoat the role play could also be what she's holding onto to keep herself together mentally. There could be a bunch of explanations, simply because we don't have a lot of screen time to work off of.

same here, despite not having much screen time and only the pilot being out shes surprisingly such a huge comfort to me, shes my favourite alongside zooble and kinger and i love the idea of the tragedy and comedy masks controlling her emotions, so yeah im definitely hoping she gets more screen time in future episodes (if they manage to get enough funding that is, which i really really hope they do)

Something I thought was really cool is, at least for now, it seems like Cain genuinely holds some care for the humans. I’m a more typical take on this story he could be malicious and mocking them forcing them to stay. But he tried making an exit is just seems like as an AI he doesn’t understand things beyond his programming. It’s a cool take on the story that instead of a villian or monster to fear it’s the situation you are in. I feel like we don’t see that too much in these types of horror. And I think it makes Cain more interesting too. When I heard Gooseworks say one of the inspos was “I have no mouth and I must scream” I had though Cain would be more similar to AM from the story but he’s pretty unique in that sense.
And Goosework also say that Caine do not understand the human feeling stuff you can he do not how interact that person if he he scare or not other stuff
There’s a move called “infinity chamber” that I also liked for subverting the “evil AI” trope. (Its an ai jailer that genuinely wants to help the prisoner but is limited by its programming. Same with “Moon”.
Kinger is the most annoying but also the smartest character it’s said he’s the first person to ever get sucked into the world implying he was the original designer which may be a refrence to “I have no mouth yet I must scream” a story about a man who built a ai that trapped him and several other humans inside a virtual world and each day would create new ways to torture them. Following this kinger also is weirdly smart as his ramblings so far have all come true implying despite his annoying madness he knows a lot of stuff and probably will get a lot of late game development but for the start will fill in a silly slot so people don’t pay attention to what he’s saying

I agree he could learn to not suck, but it seems he knows what he’s doing and uses a jerk persona to push things to go the way he wants . Meanwhile kinger is definitely the smartest but he’s also so crazy he can’t use his knowledge properly so he’s more annoying by proxy of making extra steps to reach the goal than any malicious reasoning

Some of the one liner gags or even just family guy gags were pretty funny
Such as:
Kinger screaming at the other person then it cuts mid-scream (was pretty funny both times I watched the pilot)
Jax when they were at the escalator part (pretty funny too but it felt sometimes genuine or forced)
Perfectly cut screams is something I want to see more in animated stuff.

What's awesome about the show besides the characters, plot, the Stanley parable office, lore and jokes.
I really like the fact the show takes place in a late 1990s to early 2000s computer game. (You can tell by this from the beginning of the episode). It feels really nostalgic, especially when they made a lot of teasers that represents that said style.
Throughout the show, it made me feel like I was reliving my childhood since I grew up with a lot of computer games that had that style. So it felt fresh that someone decided to take a crack at it!
Not only that, when the characters become insane and become corrupted. It feels like we're watching a Learning with Pibby episode since whoever gets trapped by the glitch, they get corrupted just like how the characters who go insane become a glitch like creature!
Ironically, the Learning with Pibby creator said the show was sadly not greenlit. So if we can't have that show, then this show definitely takes the cake for having something related to the show.
Overall, super excited, really liked the pilot. And I can't wait to see what is next in store for The Amazing Digital Circus! (And murder drones too)

The problem with Caine is that you either love him or hate him, there’s no in between.
But the same could also be said with Jax as well as he’s kinda just a douchebag sometimes but he is very entertaining to watch on screen.
Caine being an AI tormenting humans reminds me a lot of "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream". I think it was stated to be an inspiration. For those who don't know, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream takes place in an alternate timeline where the Cold War devolves in WW3 and the three superpowers create Mastercomputer AIs to help manage the war. One, known as AM, gains sentience, absorbs the other Mastercomputers, and destroys all of humanity except for 5 people, whom he tortures for 109 years as a sort of god.
Also, when watching the pilot, I felt Jax reminded me a lot of Angel Dust; both in terms of voice and mannerisms. Now I see why.
something that stuck out to me about the part where pomni is running through the seemingly unending exit doors is the lights.
throughout the entire time, the lights are relatively stable. its only when pomni sees the computer and then starts to go a bit insane that the lights start to flicker and she is able to enter the void. pomni must somehow be related to that room in a deeper sense than it may seem.
I really loved the pilot and I love both Caine and Pomni and for some odd reason I just felt a chill when the piano version of the main theme played then ending with the whistle of the main theme as we ascend from the tent to the Void and just a 90/80s computer it kinda reminds me of Jack Stauber’s Opal but I loved the pilot I thought i was going to hate Jax but ended up liking his type of humor, I liked Ragatha I don’t know how to describe her personality but she just seems like one of my favorites and I agree it felt like the other three got pushed away as a matter of fact I can’t remember their names but yeah overall I like anything with Circus theme or Clowns and Jesters or a mean/bully type humor or old toys like a rag doll or a comedy/tragedy mask so this is definitely a show for me I also like Caine because he feels like many characters as one like I like how his design since I like eyes and teeth type of Weirdcore and his vibe really suites me because for some odd reason he reminds me of Deltarune characters like Spamton or Jevil I also kinda liked the bubble thing but it only got like 30 seconds of screen time but overall it feels like a high note I don’t really watch Glitch like Murder Drones or anything else like the Meta Runner but I remember them doing this channel called SMG4 and the last time I watched their videos was like in 2017-19 so yeah I’ll try and watch Murder Drones when I’m desperate for Deltarune, Hazbin or Helluva news and also while HOPING that this series successes because I love the circus theme and love the characters like Caine but yeah overall the pilot deserves a 9.8 for me I just hope this becomes a success and hope that it gets a season 2 like other indie shows (I only mean Hazbin and Helluva lol😂)
id like to point out that Caine doesn't seem to be a villian but more of an overseer that cares for the cast but cant understand humans since he's AI. For example he lets them eat, sleep even if they don't have too since this virtual. He even tried to make an exit since that's what the cast wanted but haven't finished it which may be why he didn't want to admit that the exit door exists in the beginning. But thats all just a theory, A FILM THEROY!
The Main Issue I had with Murder Drones was its Lore Telling but mainly its Pacing, each episode as a whole just felt too fast to understand any lore points or hints. Mainly Episode 5 as its my least favorite out of the season 1 ( Besides its Spooky Old Mansion and Uzi's Crow like Avatar ). The Jump Cut from Episode 4 had no hints of it leading to Episode 5 and just feels like a sudden Rushed change just to add more Lore. I want to be a Fan of MD but due to its Pacing and Stacks of Lore just feels like a FNaF Mess.
But for TADC the Slightly Rushed Plot Pacing felt like it fit in without noticing unlike MD, it has a More Goofy and Wacky Design Compared to Murder Drone's Dark and Grim Vibe of Blood Snow.
Also feel like it more episodic show than serlialized show like murder drone
I recommend watching Internecion Cube and Cliffside then! They are made by the same creator of Murder Drones, but they are just much better pacing and story-wise ( probably because he was 100% free when doing these previous projects ). Despite being a huge fan of Liam Vickers, i also just cannot enjoy MD, and honestly, i just want Murder Drones to end as quickly as possible so he can continue Internecion Cube..

I think you're slightly misunderstanding the choice behind the art style. While yes, it's inspired by circus, the reason things are all reflective a glossy is because it's mainly influenced by early digital animation which often feature lots of glossy primitive shapes, checkerboards, chess pieces, bright colors, etc...
I feel like leaving us confused on the first watch was the point, it’s not like Pomni understands what’s going on either, but she doesn’t get to go back and review everything that happened. She’s forced to digest this and in a way kind of accept it at the end, which was an absolute brain scramble for her and all she could do was work up a smile at the end, even if she hasn’t fully processed everything going on around her.
Good to see I wasn't the only one who made the connection to the Stanley Parable. Now I just want to see someone make an edit of Pomni running, though the office with Stanley parables narrator speaking to her.
One of the inspirations, i expect, is the I Spy book/game series. It's very... evocative of that aesthetic.
One of the promos says “coming 1995” additionally we se the title screen of an old desktop game. Basically I think the character’s were sword art onlined into a 1995 computer game

I went into it thinking “this looks so shit.” And honestly I immediately got interested when pomni was introduced. I will be watching the rest of the series.

My 12 yr old kid had us watch this. I was not excited to watch it (as with most stuff 12 yr olds are into now days lol) but it's honestly so freaking good! My husband and I both thought it was so well done. It reminded me of a black mirror episode. I hope they release more!
I like the way you quickly summarize and explain things quickly and clearly. I don't know if you take requests but there are these series on youtube called object shows that may be cool to check out. I would love to see a non osc person speak their mind about what they think of object shows. Although the object show(s) I would recommend would be ONE or hfjONE by cheesyhfj that makes fun of many object show tropes and highlights their faults in a wonderful way but, that's it for me. This show really is incredibly freaking amazing. The animation is fantastic, simply superb and definitely different from other indie animations. I love these characters, especially Pomni and I think I love her the most out of them all followed by either Caine or Jax
My favorite part is the censored swearing.
I have a theory, what if the six main characters are not the only people that were trapped in this world. I think that all the entities in the cellar, including Kaufmo, were also humans before they were transported into this. Some staying there longer than Kinger since Jax said that Kinger since Jax said that Kinger was SUPPOSEDLY the “first” one there.
Kinger was not the first, he was the one that was their the longest.
One cool detail that confirms this, is that, during the hallway room, we see 5 crossed room photos, and one of them is a queen chess piece. Implying that kinger had a partner that got abstracted
when i saw the trailer and found put Gooseworx was the director i instantly knew this was gonna be something special. shes extremely good at creating an absurdist, funny, and horrifying atmosphere simultaneously, and giving her an entire production team to work with just amplifies that
I would think that Caine would be voiced by Brandon Rogers because that would make too much sense since they have played the "mad ringmaster" kind of character before but no. Overall, everything looks so bouncy and fun and I look forward to it being really successful.
I also love how in the hallway you see many doors with X's over characters faces which both foreshadows and builds up to the reveal of Klaufmo's abstraction.
I really liked Digital Circus because of how dreamlike it is. If something doesn’t make sense, the show will just go along with it, because who needs explanations?

Bit of a correction for anyone. It's been stated that Cain isn't evil and more so "obliviously mischievous". Cain is an AI for the simulation and doesn't actually fully understand humans. This is why he completely misses the mark on the meaning of why the humans wanted an exit. Instead of actually looking on how they can exit the program, he thought they meant an actual exit to The Circus area. Although it can be said he does understand slightly what is the OUTSIDE world due to what's in his unfinished exit area.
However, to say Cain is an evil entity would be wrong. He's really just trying his best in entertaining the humans here. Because that's what he's GOOD at. He's a ringleader, an AI made for this world as to provide content to the people playing the game. Long story short, I like Cain. Because it's a break from the usual typical evil mastermind. I look forward to how his involvement develops the story.
I think my bookworm brain is showing as I was able to digest everything in the plot LOL
On its own I find the show very interesting, but kind of lacking in substance with its characters when compared to murder drones.
What I’m trying to say is Murder drones took time to carefully set up character’s backgrounds, relationships, and personalities in the pilot. Meanwhile digital circus completely ignores most of that and goes strictly for personalities. While it makes sense in the context of the show, ragatha and Pomni getting to know eachother will never feel the same as N and Uzi getting to know eachother.
All in all the show is good, but as of right now it suffers from a lack of depth to each character.

Caine is supposed to be over the top and wacky as he is the presentator of the circus show. Real life circus shows are also like this so his characterisation is on point. So in this case I don't agree with your criticism.
Also I think that his wacky behavior is necessary for the plot to create this crazy environment that is needed to drive people like Pomni mad.

My theory is that the world has been there longer than any digital device and it’s a completely different dimension to our universe. Humans have only found a way to have a glimpse in what’s inside by inventing the digital computer. The characters for the most part seem to be from different frames in time. Kinger seemed to be there the longest, possibly being sucked in by unknown means (for now) back in the medieval era let’s say. Ragatha is based on a Raggedy Ann doll which started production in 1915, so we can say she was transported around then. But this theory kind of falls apart when you bring Gangle into the mix. She’s obviously based off of the comedy/tragedy trope found in Ancient Roman Theatre plays which means she’d be there first, which isn’t the case considering Kinger’s been there the longest.
It’s a far cry from full proof, but the show has just started so the field for theory is extremely expansive. Just a little wacky thing to think about is all.
I’ve never wanted to watch Meta Runner,Sunset Paradise or even Murder Drones…but I’m definitely watching this!

Jax tbh is my favorite character because i just love his personalty and even though he does one liners they are still good

The series looks really promising and fun- But I'm kind of cautiously optimistic about it.
For all it's worth, the studio did botch Murder Drones in my eyes. You're free to disagree but Murder Drones was an amazing concept with an amazing pilot and the story was just kind of ruined by it's ambitiousness since the studio seemed to bite off more than they could chew, leading to an extremely rushed and poorly paced story that is hard to follow since they have SO MUCH to address in so little time (Since it's an indie production), Helluva boss, for example, manages to keep a more grounded and easy to follow pace while also being an indie production so it's not the fact it's Indie, it's the fact they didn't manage their story to account for the amount of episodes they'd be able to produce.
I just hope this series doesn't fall prey to the same thing. If the story is actually well paced and they manage their ambitions well this time it'll definitely be amazing!
I really like everything! I like Canie and Bubbles little duo, the scenes were pretty nice. I was pretty surprised when they characters swore. Anyhow the only complaint I really have is I feel like they showed what happens when you reach your breaking point too early, like I feel like revealing it later like in episode 6 or 5.
i really love the idea of slowy becoming insane and unstable because you are trapped inside a digital dimension where a mouth monster play with your little soul until you lose your mind and get send to the basement.
