This band is amazing! I’m 71 and just found Nightwish and I can’t get enough. I play them everywhere, in the car, taking a shower! Late at night, and mostly on my walks everyday! I need to play catch up on all their songs! I want to be in the Nightwish army!
The keyboards drums bass guitar and voice in that special period from 2012 through 2013 was probably Nightwish at their absolute best I don't think I've seen or heard them better that was kind of like pure Magic

Finally saw a gray haired dude rocking in the audience. that would be ME if they get anywhere near Missouri. absolutely addicted to them!
I love this! For contrast I'm half your age and discovered Nightwish almost 20 years ago, they have literally shaped the way I feel my emotions and process my experiences. I'm very happy for you that you found them, what a wonderful entrance into another world it must be 💙

One of my life goals is to listen to this song at sundown, standing on the edge of a lake somewhere in Finland, surrounded by nordic nature and having a beer.
One exception: Facebook. I mentioned I didn't like the newest of the three long masterpieces because it was kinda boring by Nightwish standards (The one that's just basically about evolution). I got called unevolved, a science hater, basically chased off the fan club. Later got a DM from someone saying they had their own NW fan club for actual adults and I was like "bruh, if you can't chastise ill-behaved children, you aren't adults. I'll go back to liking this band without the approval of tourists". (Been a fan since 2005, long before Floor made everyone go ga-ga). And I /tried/ to like it. It eas just so boring. I cant even remember the name of that song because I really, really dont like it. My personal preference aside, I dont think anyone is a fan of something if they have no standards.

Perfect and beautiful music for the wintertime. Whenever i listen to this i see straying wolves in a snow covered cold forest somewhere in the north. This song is so beautiful, it brings tears to my eyes.
There are at least as many massive ego's in the group as members, you need one to become that good. However, they all know how to make that ego work for the group instead of just for themselves.

Floor is the truth she is the attitude the embodiment the soul The Panache the heart the basis the core upon which this kind of music relies upon she is the voice that this band has been searching for and this is the band that she has been searching perfect together I remember watching Buenos Aires 2012 ghost love score and I was like this is something unlike anything I've ever heard it remains to this day absolutely one of my favorite songs ever in the end when she puts her hand on her chest and her hand up to the audience as if to say this is as much about you as it is about me extremely gracious I thought at the time and now to sound like a male Pig it certainly doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous with long hair and she's a headbanger with a voice to beggar all others

I remember when they performed this in San Diego back in 2008. It was so unexpected!! Anette left the stage, and they busted out this tune. Tuomas took the lead parts on keys, and it was just magical. I can still remember the audience going insane.

The melody is a mix of Celtic and of Finnish folk songs - the bagpipe with flute and the kantele (sound) add to the effect. Such a masterpiece. I have no words to comment the lyrics.
2 years later and probably irrelevant at this point, but those are uileann pipes, not bagpipes. You dont blow into these pipes and they are more associated with Irish traditional music, while bagpipes are more Scottish associated

Well I am 74 and only discovered them in January they are truly addictive.
