I have already saved more than the 18k. Definitely not in the top 1 percent. Only my 'war chest' is in the bank. The rest is in silverware and gold bullion.
I like saving and I like to buy things that hold their value. I have some people around me that likke to spend money, not theirs but mine. Nothing annoys me more than someone trying to weasel their way into getting me to waste my money. Savings are a measure of my time. I have had to work to get it, store it and invest it. Any fool can spend it but we cant all save it.
60 here. 500k house long paid off. 100k in savings 100k invested. £10 000 a month income between us before tax savings mean nothing if you dont get to 65 and dont own your home outright
There is a huge difference between savings and wealth. Would you rather own 10 income generating properties outright and have £75,000 in savings to cover expenses or 1 property you live in with a mortgage and £200,000 in savings?
hello mate i need a bit of advice. im pretty new to stacking but my short term goal is saving for a deposit for a mortgage so im buying sovereigns. its either that or stick it in a isa but i thought the gold will hedge better than a fixed isa will. i guess my question is say as a example in a years time and i come to liquidate my gold will the banks be like wheres all this money from and will they want a cut. or do you think it will look bad for a mortgage just putting a massive lump into my bank. im thinking maybe a safer less hastle thing to do would be put it in a fixed isa but im unsure. cheers buddy
I get people on minimum wage struggling to have anything put by but I am always astonished when I hear people who have been in reasonably paid jobs for many years who have nothing saved at all
Well since moving to the US my income has gone up so much that I can buy 1 or 2 ounces of a gold per month. I was lucky if I could buy 1 oz once every 2 months in England
@@ejkalegal3145 Gold has only averaged 1.2% above inflation over the longterm. I’m happy with my diversification portfolio. Passive income and some growth from property and global market.

Enjoyed the video but you deffo need more graphics and visuals. It’s more enjoyable if you can see the numbers you are discussing.
Thankyou for the info. That’s helpful, I’ll try to do more!
That's exactly why I left the UK and moved to the US
Wow, so you’re British? How much better is life in the US than the UK?
@@FutureInvestmentsBullion He is surrounded by yanks and yank culture every day - the answer is it isn't.

@@FutureInvestmentsBullion It isn't.
@@thegoldstandard721 so you got a pay rise. Anything else? Dodged any bullets at the local mall lately?
If you have those average savings you're a brokie!
My net worth is £5 million
£3m residential and commercial property
£1m global stock market
£1m company value
Gold £10,000
Bitcoin £25,000
Cash £50,000
Your gold and bitcoin stacks are poor.

That’s incredible, you’re smashing it. Brilliant Diversification!!
@@FutureInvestmentsBullion Not really. It's far too heavily property weighted 😂
