Jesus said, "No one is good except God alone" (Mark 10:18). The Bible is very clear that none of us are good and that is why God sent Jesus Christ the saviour to justify, sanctify and glorify us before God.
Therefore, whether you are identified as a heterosexual or homosexual, God demands holy sexual from all those who put their trust in Jesus. If you are born with a same sex attraction, Jesus is asking you to stop acting out on your same sex attraction. If you are born with a weakness of lusting over the opposite sex, Jesus is asking you to stop lusting. Why? Because all homosexuals and adulterers will not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Cor 6:9-10).
God graciously reminds His children - "As some of you once lived this way. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
    1 Corinthians 6:11.
Remember always, Jesus is ever ready to forgive and restore all those who genuinely repented... irrespective of their sexual orientation.

I'm a gay atheist I have been doing some research on RUclips and websites, watching testimonials of ex LGBT persons and Christianity views on LGBT , I might be an atheist but I still think the Christian community needs to do alot more better when they come to approach LGBT identity because it's not where it's supposed be we still have Christian churches that doesn't understand how to approach LGBT if even christian Churches that have a traditional belief on sexually also homophobia and discrimination of LGBT needs to stop being normalize because this is just going to have more LGBT people leaving the church as an atheist and a gay person I believe the bible views on homosexuality as a sin true but I respect LGBT people who choose to act on their " attractions" and LGBT people who choose not to act on their attractions I as an atheist wouldn't really have a hard time learning how to respond with being LGBT and a Christian but I respect ex LGBT people and their choices and I would agree these people are often misunderstood but again christian churches need to do better with how LGBT issue are taken and also any Christian reading if you don't support LGBT rights it's okay but please don't think it's a green light to be homophobic and discriminate and you can be neutral when it comes to LGBT rights please stop don't get into anti LGBT activism and

there is no such thing as a "lgbtq". gay identity. in christ you are a new creation. a christian is never to identify with lust, temptation, feelings, or who they used to be.

      A few things.
As an atheist, though I have my doubts, why do you care what Christians believe? I'm sorry, but atheism informs me on nothing, like it should.
Getting the anti-gay Church to see they're homophobic in any form is like pulling teeth because they believe the Bible supports their discrimination. They can't deal with a problem if they say they have no problem. I tell you this with many years of debating these people at different levels.
I think one of the most harmful things in the Christian/LGBTQ+ debate are "ex-gays" and their toxic and dangerous message. I have counseled, debated, refuted, and spoke with many on different levels over the years and that's why I say this.
Is any discrimination against the LGBTQ+ permissible? of course not, that's a no-brainer you don't even need to state.

Although I respect your opinion but this is very tone deaf, this is putting all the blame on Christian’s while taking no responsibility of the hate and mockery the lgbtq community gives to Christian’s.
Majority of churches accept people from all walks of life to attend church, however they don’t and should not accept or affirm anyones sin.
A thief could also be sitting in church but his sin of theft will be condemned righteously, same with homosexuality and alike.
Christians are a new identity in Christ. They are not “gay Christian’s”, they are Christians that struggle with same sex attraction.
We wouldn’t ever call someone a lying Christian or a thief Christian then why shall we call them with their sin?

@@hanix2002 For the term gay christians and if christians should use this term it doesn't really bother since I'm an atheist , I don't think I was tone deaf I clearly recognize Christians that have a traditional belief of sexuality and you know I see you have a conservative belief on homosexuality I won't say all christians hate LGBT, I think you took my words out of context when I mean churches I don't mean all I mean homophobic churches , I think it's wrong for LGBT people to be mean to christians but you are over exaggerating because personally the hate LGBT people get from Christians I never seen a Christian recognize the hate we get so if you think you can talk about LGBT community hating christians but not talk about the hate we get from Christian groups I think you're playing victim let's talk about the hate progressive Christian churches get from conservative Christians you can disagree on this but there LGBT Christians, LGBT affirming churches and progressive christians and saying LGBT people hate Christians is an under statement

I am curious how these people feel about gay people. They say they are happy that the writers of the notes have "overcome" their problem and live as Christians. Does this mean the only possibility for gay people is lifelong celibacy? Of course, the heterosexuals would be happy because the gay person has suppressed their identity. These gay people need to stand up for who they are and reject all of the religious guilt. It is just a method of control. Learn to accept your gayness, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise. You were born this way.

@@tamijoiskewl I rebuke your slander! According to what verses? 1 Romans speaking about an idolatrous homosexuality? 1 Corinthians 6:9 speaking on a similar idolatry carried over from the practices of the Canaanites in Leviticus? Sometimes I believe each Christian should be able to pass a test on how to read the Bible (verse context, historical and place context, word etymology, etc) before they get a Bible. When the Bible is used incorrectly, it's like putting a drunk behind the wheel of a car with all the damage they cause for so many.
