@@Orbitalbombwhen she talks about how he might’ve kicked Bonnie through the hole that Luffy left in the Dome Murphy says that Kizaru kicked him through the barrier twice. Doesn’t really matter too much, though imo
I really liked that parallel between Kuma and Akainu. Akainu pointing out how Kuma is just a soul-less shell of his former self and somehow he was pushing through that to achieve some higher purpose, while he, the mighty fleet admiral, the most powerful man in the marine, being ordered around like a puppet by the most insufferable individuals over petty things.
True. I personally believe there is no Will. No Free will. Kuma is gone. Right now at least. Maybe the will ileft over in the body. Just like Cindry. Maybe.
I love how much Oda humanized the Admirals in these last few chapters. Oda managed to keep the Admirals as monsters for 1000+ chapters and with just a few panels/pages managed to make them human again.

I know everyone was excited to see Luffy vs Kizaru but the stuff with Kuma was waaaaay more interesting in this chapter, IMO. I actually heard a great theory that Kuma and Akainu actually have more history than we thought because Oda is having the pre-timeskip admirals go up against people they care about. First Aokiji vs. Garp, then Borsalino is tasked with killing Vegapunk. It would follow the pattern if Sakazuki had to fight Kuma, who was a friend of his. And Kuma's totally going to Egghead! Prediction: The giant robot will launch the Sunny towards Elbaf. Or it will be Kuma using his fruit before he dies.
I would love it to be Dragon vs Sakazuki. That way we do not only get the three Monkey D. family members fighting at the same time, but we get more details about the relatioship between Sakazuki and Dragon and his possible past as a marine. I still believe Dragon vas a viceadmiral and Sakazuki's partner until his wife died.
I think it was more set up for Dragon and Akainu to have a conflict. Akainu not only trying to kill his son, but also the one who pretty much killed his friend
I've always appreciated how Oda depicts the Navy as an accurate reflection of military and police in our own world. He builds up the humanity of the characters who are a part of it to make them sympathetic and show they truly have good intentions, but then displays how the power of the institution renders that irrelevant. Kuzan tried to buck back against the system from the inside after it required him to genocide an island, but ended up getting beat down by the most overtly fascist character in the story. Now Borsalino finds himself in a similar position of having to kill people he cares about just because that's what he's told to do. These power dynamics are the reason some people say ACAB, but Oda is doing it with respect for the humanity of the people who are starting to understand they've been conditioned to be monsters.
We saw an explosion when Bonney hit the barrier. So no, she didn't get to pass through the same spot as Luffy unscathed. Also, the barrier isn't a physical thing. It just detects stuff within a certain radius and shoots them down with lasers
Kinda makes sense that the OG 3 admirals are all having moral crises. Kuzan already left and is kicking it with the BlackBeard pirates, but he's not enjoying beating up Garp. Borsalino is obviously having a bad time and is asking a lot of questions which is very outside of his usual character. And Sakazuki is seeing an example of humanity and individuality shining through despite literal programming that's meant to keep Kuma in line. I just mean, Kuzan has Lazy Justice as his moral center, but had to get active against his own mentor. Borsalino had Unclear Justice and is FINALLY asking questions. Sakazuki had Absolute Justice and is looking at a man breaking his absolute limits while a bunch of snot nosed baby men are barking at him about lobster. Makes sense to me that all three of them are off beat ATM. Even Issho had a moment recently while fighting Sabo and the Revolutionaries where he acted in line with his Humane Justice by "accidentally" freeing some slaves with his AOE damage attacks. Besides stupid Aramaki and his Suicidal Justice, all the Admirals are showing signs of dissent and unrest with the World Government. I just hope they all go full Kuzan and rebel.
This chapter releasing so soon after the live action made a line stand out more than it did initially. "I could've been Fleet Admiral by now, but I've always turned down the promotion. You know why? Because then I'd have to play by their rules. I'd lose my freedom." - Vice Admiral Garp, OPLA S1E5 We're seeing that now with Akainu. He's been the butt of jokes in the fandom for so long since all he does is sit in his office and get angry, but... that's all he can do. That's all he's allowed to do. He's lost his freedom, and now here comes a soulless puppet that has more free will than Kuma seemed to have when alive. Having Akainu as Fleet Admiral is ultimately going to be the WG's undoing I think. Because in his position now he's had the perfect opportunity to see what parts of the system need to be burned away in the name of Absolute Justice.
I think that’s more likely than what merphy thinks tbh. I don’t think his dilemma is that he cares about kuma, he doesn’t. But he sees someone he hates with more freedom than he does. But I don’t think he’ll try to change the system. He’s an insane fanboy of it
Just a heads up. Luffy wasn't kicked through the barrier twice. He went through it twice because he was kicked out and had to force his way back in to stop Kizaru from attacking the others.
Akainu seems much more likely to flip than Kizaru in my opinion. He's very volatile at his core and is stuck in a ĵob he hates. Kizaru seems too chill to make that decision and at least has more freedom than Akainu. We still don't know what he even fights for.
In my opinion this is all building up towards Kuma & Bonney having one final reunion, we get Kuma's backstory and then Kuma will die protecting Bonney somehow.
Great video like always Merphy. I love Kizaru's line saying "I'd rather not draw this out" So ironic, so perfect. Very nice to see Kizaru being serious when every other time we have seen him he just takes his sweet time.
I think the reason why kizaru stood up for himself and didn’t just blindly follow jay garcia’s order was because 1. He wants to honor the fight and efforts against the people he knows and 2. Because I feel like he actually wants to be stopped. He could’ve easily gone past everyone straight to where vegapunk is but he’s making it harder for himself to get there. And throughout all of it he sounds like he’s complaining how he doesn’t want to make this any harder since he’s going up against old friends when he could literally just get to vegapunk with ease. There’s also a part in 1091 where he kicks luffy through vegapunk’s giant robot and there’s a “…” when he remembers the creation of that robot was a dream come true for vegapunk. No doubt he has mixed feelings about actually completing this mission and just wants them to runaway.
Detail that i didnt really notice in my read through if the chapter: it looks like Kizaru pulls his kick when he hit Bonnie. The sound effect is "Tap" making me think he just booped her but because of light speed, it sent her flying
It took me this video to realize how important it is that oda makes side characters that are not straw hats stand up for and have relationship with the people they are protecting (i.e vegapunk, sentomaru, and stussy) it just makes the world feel more alive and makes the straw hats feel like they are jumping into their conflict and story.
We're potentially right around the corner of a KUMA FLASHBACK!! I cannot wait to see how each of the Admirals develop. For the longest time, as was with Garp, we knew they were a force to be reckoned with. I am so excited to get to know them on a deeper level. Keep in mind we do not know them yet aside from their alignment of justices, and knowing that keeps the tension taut as their ideals clash with duty. Also, get well soon Merphy!
6:50 Wait a minute right there!! She said "Lava guy" then backtracked and corrected herself using his moniker, Akainu... WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH OUR MERPHY?!?!?!
I think a side of Akainu that’s been easy for me to overlook since he’s so hatable is that he has made himself into a martyr for his own belief in absolute Justice. Pre-skip, he was still climbing towards that goal, so he could seem ruthless, but now he’s at the top of the system - and it clearly chafes him. All the paperwork and dealing with the celestials are grinding him to his last nerve. It’d be easier for him to go full tyrant with his DF, but he believes in the system, so he feels powerless, even with his position near the top of the hierarchy
That’s the thing. He does believe in the system. He might be a cog, but he’s a cog who loves his job and enjoys (the non-paperwork killing side), much like Lucci. Him believing in a system that’s so clearly evil makes him a bad person in itself imo.
His artwork has gotten sooo much better, and I'm not usually one to notice these kinds of things. That panel with Kizaru about to kick through the Vega Force 1 really showcased Oda's skill in portraying such fierce speed and destruction that he absolutely reserves for his beloved admirals. So sick.
On the other hand, I think a lot of the art looks much worse than it did "back in the day". Compare the latest close-up of Akainu to how he used to look. Everything is so squiggly and blurry, but maybe it's just personal preference that makes me not like that. I don't really care, because it could be literal stick figures and I would still love the series but I think it looks worse than ever now.
@@menderbug1 I think it's just a stylistic choice, the style changed as soon as they entered Wano. I'm hoping they go back to the prewano art style soon though honestly the new one makes crowded scenes too hard to follow
Seeing the Admirals being faced with these situations, questioning their allegiance etc is awesome and I've been waiting a long time for them to get some characterization. Weather they will turn or not, its still nice seeing them being fleshed out.
“Wave goodbye, but don't you cry, our memories remain” from Binks Sake. It’s just ingrained in me that everything One Piece is cyphered into this song. AHHH. Kuma losing his memories but I can’t help but remember this line. Btw this was reminded me by Sawyer
I am 100% certain Akainu was hoping for an all out confrontation with kuma, purely to have a genuine excuse to melt parts of the holy land by "accident", just to show those idiots that they're only alive because he lets them.
You hit the nail on the head with the level of hype these chapters have produced. Seeing luffy challenge Kizaru with such confidence was so cathartic! I cannot wait to see how this plays out. I never knew I needed an in-depth literally analysis of one piece until I found your channel! I can't get enough of your content. It might be time to join your Patreon!
I think when Luffy says he went through the barrior twice, he was talking about Kizaru kicking him through it, and then he had to somehow push himself through it again to get back up to grab Kizaru
Goodness, what were you doing, Merphy? Trying to climb the red line? Take care of yourself. Also, nice video. Kizaru is a bit of a complicated / difficult character. Because... A - we don't know if he has / had a personal dream, or not. B - so far he always gives others a pass - IF it is within reason. He lets others get away, as long as he knows HE can get away with doing that... but if that's impossible, it's going to be tricky, really tricky.
I also think Kizaru will turn against the WG at some point, maybe it'll happen sooner than we expect due to what he said in this chapter. Not many reviewers thinks that tho, so I'm glad at least you and Sawyer7mage do!
love the comparisons between sakazuki and kuma, i never thought of it like that until you laid it out in the video. he's such an interesting villain and imo gets too much hate. i get it he killed ace, disrespected whitebeard, is soulless - but he's definitely also changing as the story goes on
What I really love about this chapter is how it immediately establish how different these strong characters have, in terms of their sets of believes of what makes up strong person or power. Like only recently in last arc, Kaidou had stated that Haki trumps all, but in this arc, Kizaru believes that Speed is power. And then you have Luffy who embodies all of these different beliefs. He doesn't just stick to specializing only at one thing only. He marry all the ideas and be the jack of all trade. Cause why restrict yourself to be good only at one thing when your whole idea is freedom.
Little detail: Kizaru had a mini flashback when He destroyed Vega Force 01. Borsalino clearly understands that He just destroyed something Vegapunk cared about.
I think Kizaru blasted Luffy and Bonnie in opposite directions but it can be hard sometimes to tell when Oda does a bunch of close up shots in a row. I like your idea and I think it started way back in Marineford with Garp, I always wanted to believe the reason he chose not to fight for Ace is that the Marines were meant to serve a greater purpose knowing his strength now he would likely have caused the Navy to collapse if he fought as well. We are heading towards the destruction of the World Government and I think that will finally allow the true goodness of the Marines to finally shine through with the new generation.
Honestly if anything I think Akainu is the one thats going to make a change, but it won't be going to Luffy's side. The antagonism thrown at him by the celestial dragons makes me think that he might be the one to remove their influence first in his own snap decision coup. They dont fit his ideals of Justice and regularly get in his way. We've seen what he does to marines who retreat during marineford. Unlike Lucci, I think the basis for his uncompromising justice has more honorable roots. I could see him getting fed up with one of tgem in the last seconds of a pivotal moment and a chapter ending his his magma fist going through a previously boasting Celestial Dragon or something. Meanwhile, Kizaru's justice is literally "unclear justice" and hes been shown to complain the least when following the demands of the celestial dragons. If anyone is a puppet, its likely to be him. We're never quite sure if what hes saying is sarcasm or real and his motivations are the most mysterious of the original admirals. While he does has the potential to flip sides I think he has to remain the big bad for most of the arc. We know Luffy can beat him, so the stakes are if he can sneak through and kill Vegapunk. Maybe he'll hesitate last second, fail the mission, and be forced to break away from the navy? Or maybe he'll stay but be forced to really reconsile the fact that he was going to kill his friends for the government and slowly turn. I dunno.
Dude stop! You’re making me sympathize with an Admiral that I never thought that I would sympathize with 🥺. I used to think that Kizaru would be the LEAST Admiral to turn, but now you’re making me see his actions from a whole other perspective 💔. (Which I appreciate btw 😊)
I like the call back to way back in Sabaody when Shaki describes Rayleigh as being "a hundred times stronger" than the rookie pirates and Rayleigh squaring off with Kizaru at that time. Fast forward 2 years and Luffy now fights Kizaru saying he's "a hundred times stronger" than before.
Does anyone else love when Merphy gets so excited she doesn't say the exact right thing (wheel in the cog not being the expression, or calling Akainu "lava guy" as examples)? I know it's silly to say but I think it just shows how hyped she is to talk about everything lol
I think people are kinda exaggerating a bit, at the end of 1090 people were sayign Luffy wasnt scared, he was just worried And now people Kizaru is terrified But Luffy's expression was way more intense I think Kizaru is startled
I think since we are on the last Saga, Oda is establishing the future of the world after we take down the WG. He’s trying to establish who is gonna lead the world after. And Garp truly believes that its Koby and the rest are the future. Because Pirates at the end of the day, or Luffy would not want to lead the world. The marines at the end of the day are what is perfect to govern as most of them are really working for the people. Oda is trying to show us that the admirals are starting to realize That the higher ups are not who they should be following.
Plot twist, kuma was swapped with the iron giant, that's why vegapunk stella was inside of it when he first appeared. The one going over to the top of the red line, the one waking up inside the giant robot is kuma.
Another interesting way I can see this going is both Akainu and Kizaru breaking away from the government’s orders, but going in opposite directions. Kizaru’s crisis of faith is unclear, much like his justice. He’s unlikely to seek some grand ideal of justice the way Kuzan or Sakazuki do. He doesn’t know what he wants or what is right, he just knows it isn’t what he’s being ordered to do. If he breaks away he might just retire, or protect a few key people he’s chosen to care about. Meanwhile, Sakazuki knows exactly what he wants. He wants to take the marines, go out to sea, and wipe out every pirate, revolutionary and criminal. The gorosei just won’t let him do it. If he breaks away from the government, it won’t be to fight side by side with our protagonists against tyranny, but to start his crusade of terror upon the world.
Hi Murphy! I just recently caught up with one piece once again and can see your videos about it!! super excited, your opinions always make me appreciate the story more (and i also feel supported when we disagree on the same things lmao) thank you for always making them :)
Hope you get well soon. Also glad to hear it's not break weak, I've stopped tracking it, and just look for your video's. They always come with a bitter sweet mix of, "Yay New Merphy Video" and "Awww, it's break weak".
IMO I don't think Akainu is going to remain a puppet, I suspect he'll defy the Elders in order to more actively wage war on the pirates/revolutionaries. I can forsee a situation where the Elders order Akainu to keep his forces at Marijoa and Akainu throwing up his hands and saying screw it, I'm done sitting behind a desk, I want to go out and melt some heads.
I think you misunderstood the barrier really bad. The barrier is not a physical barrier but a sensor barrier where anyone who cross it will be immidiate shoot down by lazer. This is the reason why Kizaru can cross the barrier unharm is because he make of light. When Luffy said he cross the barrier twice, he mean one time Kizaru shoots him through the barrier and one time he crosses it himself to come back to the lab
I'll share a fun thing: The OG 3 admirals are fighting the 3 factions right now. Aokiji(Kuzan)...Marine(GARP)/Sakazuki(Akainu)...Revs(Kuma)/Borsalino(Kizaru)...Pirate(Luffy). Also, Kizaru is the only one capable of going through the barrier because he has the speed of light or is light himself. So Kizaru kicked Bonney and Luffy so they couldn't interfere. However, as Luffy said in the end he went past that barrier twice which means Luffy reached the speed of Light or turned himself into light somehow there. 1093 will be epic to see the clash. Also wish you a speedy recovery Merphy.
@@pollatin1052 nope... If you go back..and read... You will realise that... Vegapunk said it himself only Kizaru can pass through because he is light. Also Saturn said to Kizaru that he can pass through it. The barrier is shield of a material that only let's things like light pass througg
@@pollatin1052 Do you have any proof of that??? I have proof behind what I'm talking about. There's no lasers set on that barrier that's made so nobody can enter or go out. That's the whole thing it's explained and it never said anything about lasers. It's not to defeat enemies it's to stop them. Why do you think there's lasers???
Yup the chapters are getting hyped up but Luffy is still not doing anything that would shock the world. Everything Luffy is doing is your typical Luffy stuff...CANNOT WAIT SO HYPED UP!!!
Merphy had kizaru on the brain this review lmao kept calling sentomaru and akainu kizaru was I only find funny cuz it's nice to know someone else does that besides me me in their reviews
Had to hear the Drums of Liberation again in the anime after seeing that Doom Dut Da Da! Doom Dut Da Da! Its getting hype again, and m almost caught up.
I agree with you 100% that Kizaru isn't planning to kill Stella here. The way he speaks is way too open ended for it to just be straight forward like that. That being said, it is in Kizaru's character to be very roundabout and duplicitous in his way of speaking, so... who knows.
Your point about the admirals makes sense when you look at what their admiral names actually translate to. Aokiji means Blue Pheasant. Pheasants are found all over the world and birds in general are often used as symbols of freedom. Akainu means Red Dog. Dogs are known for being obedient and loyal to their masters, completely unconditionally regardless of if their owners have good intentions for them or not. Kizaru means Yellow Monkey. Interesting that the animal Oda chose here is the same as a certain family name in the series that is associated with freedom. This is also without even mentioning that after Dressrosa, Fujitora has also started questioning his orders and taking liberties with them, much to Akainu's fury.
The Celestial Dragons chastising Akainu about their lack of lobster dinners gave me massive "I want to talk to your manager" vibes. Talk about Planet of the Karrens! Know what I mean?
Idk if you caught the amazing writing but when luffy said they're a 100x stronger now compared to 2 years ago its a reference to when shakky told the crew/law/kidd that rayleigh was 100x stronger than them and he'll be fine vs kizaru. (on Sabaody) Its so full circle its amazing
kuma might be acting on ordes given by vegapunk long ago, maybe by wish of kuma. but the Conscience of kuma might be in the big robot now that you saw at the end. maybe pink haired girl did something, because suddenly she wasnt angry at vegapunk anymore.
I like the theme of loyalty no matter right or wrong in Egghead. We see it with Stussy, Sentomaru, and Kuma to Vegapunk. Kizaru, Akainu, and Lucci to the World Government. Garp and Koby. Even Bepo saving Law.
I have been calling a break up between gov and marines for a while now, especially centered around Egghead. The narrator indicated there would be a world-shaking event going down here and the beating of an Admiral, while cool and all, doesn't seem the kind of thing to get everyone shook. There's a lot of build up to destroy the bond of world gov and marines: - the gov needs to go down at some point in the story, but the marines have to persist after this point so that Coby and pals get their dreams filled and take over the mantle as head of the marines, - Sakazuki has been chaffing under the rules put on him, forcing him to stay in place for a while now, - Kizaru having to go against those who he once considered friends must be eating him up inside, even if he doesn't show it outside, - Even Doberman was very >.> at Saturn's lines about humans being insects, - If the news comes out that Vegapunk was being killed on WG orders, there's going to be hell from the citizenry and oh look, Morgans has a line in, - Garp has been captured/killed because he didn't have back-up from his fellow marines to save one of the marine heroes because the gov took control of the nearby bases and pushed them to Egghead instead - which is a big deal considering that Garp and Coby are both seen as heroes by the rest of the world and worth saving - The CDs are being very unthankful that the Fleet Admiral, who has much better things to be doing, came to save their rotund asses I could definitely see a lot of blame being thrown every which way if things to really wrong at Egghead - like, say, Garcia getting murked or kidnapped by a shapeshifting woman pretending to be a marine, or the island (and the assets the WG wants from it) being destroyed in the tussle between Emperor and Admiral, or the truth of Ohara and Lulusia and what used to be Enies Lobby being spilt... there's a lot of ways for things to go horribly, horribly wrong and cause a huge division between the two 'allies'
You have a LOT more trust in Kizaru. Lol. The one thing we know about his personality is he likes to troll at all times--his words never have an OUNCE of sincerity, which is why his actions are always diametrically opposed to what he's saying.
I can see it being a bit more gray than your theory. Maybe there is a deeper reason Kizaru can’t turn on the World Government even if he wants to. Maybe in working for the World Government and attacking his friends, he believes he’s making sure the world doesn’t fall into an even more chaotic world. Maybe the World Government, despite doing all of these terrible things, have a noble reason for it but it comes at the cost of sacrifice. Maybe all known existence has to be protected in this very specific way and sacrifices have to be made to do so. If you’ve ever seen the movie The Cabin in the Woods, there is this entire death game around creating sacrifices for his ancient type of monster/diety in order to keep the end of the the world in check. The redline is clearly Ragnarok so I think there could be something similar here.
If the Kuma thing happened a few days ago, maybe Kuma is on egghead and he's the one from chapters ago that was hiding on egghead that they called on the den den mushi and Kuma was hiding in the robot and his race is what powers the robot like 200 years ago. Lunarians have fire, maybe Kuma is a god valleyite and they have some form of other power. It was never confirmed stussy was the one on that phone call
@@royalfun1031 I don't remember the chapter number but when vegapunk called on the den den mushi for help and someone said they wouldn't want to be seen by the world government for helping him. It was like vegapunk was asking an old friend for a favor and no one else has shown up at the island so it can't be someone we don't know because that may be too much of a stretch for oda to involve rocks, shiki, wang xi, or other legendary pirates in hiding
Throwing my own theory out there: Kizaru joins the Strawhats. With Kuzan (the former admiral who has interacted the most with the Strawhats and has done the most to keep them together) on the Blackbeard pirates' side it only makes sense. With Blackbeard Pirates being the Strawhat's mirror, it only makes sense that the Admiral that has done the most to separate the Strawhats would ally with them. Ultimately Kizaru seems like he wants some of that freedom Luffy offers.
I feel equally proud and disappointed that you are getting the names of the characters now. I miss the nicknames. Poison poop guy and fake paw paws are my favorites. But at the same time I know the effort you put into getting the names so I'm happy nonetheless

This chapter releasing so soon after the live action made a line stand out more than it did initially.
"I could've been Fleet Admiral by now, but I've always turned down the promotion. You know why? Because then I'd have to play by their rules. I'd lose my freedom." - Vice Admiral Garp, OPLA S1E5
We're seeing that now with Akainu.
Feels like Kizaru is probably at his own crossroad of his own ideologies and Luffy is here for that definitive push in a way.
I'm not crying, your crying through me!
Great video like always Merphy.
I love Kizaru's line saying "I'd rather not draw this out"
So ironic, so perfect.
Yeah, it seemed like he purposefully didn't kick as hard as he could have
It took me this video to realize how important it is that oda makes side characters that are not straw hats stand up for and have relationship with the people they are protecting (i.e vegapunk, sentomaru, and stussy) it just makes the world feel more alive and makes the straw hats feel like they are jumping into their conflict and story.
So sick.
The eye surgery paid off in a major way, every chapter since getting back has looked amazing in terms of art
Have they really looked different after the surgery? I haven't noticed much honestly
@@menderbug1You might need some glasses if it's blurry to you.
Its so refreshing the see someone talk about the Kuma stuff without the exact same youtuber theory taken as fact
I also think Kizaru will turn against the WG at some point, maybe it'll happen sooner than we expect due to what he said in this chapter. Not many reviewers thinks that tho, so I'm glad at least you and Sawyer7mage do!
love the comparisons between sakazuki and kuma, i never thought of it like that until you laid it out in the video. he's such an interesting villain and imo gets too much hate. i get it he killed ace, disrespected whitebeard, is soulless - but he's definitely also changing as the story goes on
Probably changing to want to take even more action though imo. Changing to be even worse
egghead is such an amazing arc. It really feels like a suped up version of a “post” arc
You know how there is almost always a feast at the end of these arcs?
Damn I want a Luffy vs Bonnie eating competition.
"I fell rock climbing" the casual way she says it 😂
What I really love about this chapter is how it immediately establish how different these strong characters have, in terms of their sets of believes of what makes up strong person or power.
It felt like Akainu wanted Bonnie to give up on Kuma to spare her the disappointment later if she kept going. He think it as useless struggle
The robot better be the next crewmate. You already know Luffy is gonna ask it lol.
Does anyone else love when Merphy gets so excited she doesn't say the exact right thing (wheel in the cog not being the expression, or calling Akainu "lava guy" as examples)? I know it's silly to say but I think it just shows how hyped she is to talk about everything lol
Kizaru trembling as Luffy grabs him by his waist sounds like fanfiction…
I think what made kizaru sweat is because he realize he can't turn into light because when luffy grabs him kizaru is now ruber. Sorry my english😊
I think people are kinda exaggerating a bit, at the end of 1090 people were sayign Luffy wasnt scared, he was just worried
And now people Kizaru is terrified
But Luffy's expression was way more intense
I think Kizaru is startled
Honestly, seeing the grass is a nice background. Good way to mix it up
Saying oda got laser eyes installed as a way to explain what his surgery was is hilarious
I'm fully expecting a heartbreaking flashback for Kuma and it's going to make his final sacrifice to save Bonney and the crew hurt even more
Theory: Bonney put Kuma’s personality into the iron giant.
I absolutely love your outro music, i've been playing it on repeat recently.
Merphy is on to something with Akainu feeling robbed of his decisions. Coup! Coup! Coup!
I love that. Thank you for not thinking he’ll improve. He’ll defy the elders to act even worse. I like that theory
Even Merphy entirely underrating the Government forces. Wild.
I honestly can't wait for Dragon and Garp to meet in the current story that would be an amazing moment
I DIDNT KNOW YOU WERE INTO ROCK CLIMBING TOO THATS AWESOME! Hope the injury heals fast!!!! I love bouldering and rock climbing lol.
Casual Merphy One Piece listening Monday afternoon. 👀🎧
The barrier isn't a shield. It just detects thing and shoots lasers. Luffy just prolly muscled through it.
@@pollatin1052 nope... If you go back..and read... You will realise that... Vegapunk said it himself only Kizaru can pass through because he is light. Also Saturn said to Kizaru that he can pass through it. The barrier is shield of a material that only let's things like light pass througg
@@Subhra_luffy Yeah the barrier is made of light. It is how it detects things. Then it starts shooting lasers at the detected target.
@@Subhra_luffy One Piece ch. 1068.
OMG, i was in such dire need of Merphy, what took you so long!
This week's chapter can't drop fast enough. I'm very much hyped for 1093, especially since next week is apparently a break again.
Merphy dont worry I love fishman Island too!
Another AWESOME review 👑🔥🔥🔥
That mic looks like an adult toy Napier
No cap
Admirals looking strong bdw
the Akainu stuff is so interesting to me
can’t wait to see where this arc goes from here
Wishing you a speedy recovery Merphy!!!
Yup the chapters are getting hyped up but Luffy is still not doing anything that would shock the world. Everything Luffy is doing is your typical Luffy stuff...CANNOT WAIT SO HYPED UP!!!
I hope your leg feels better soon! 🙌
NOOO, Kuma got the Whitebeard treatment by Akainu 😭🌊
Would love to see climbing vlogs! Get well soon!!
Merphy had kizaru on the brain this review lmao kept calling sentomaru and akainu kizaru was I only find funny cuz it's nice to know someone else does that besides me me in their reviews
That is why we don't climb steep stuff unless it's a necessity for your survival to get to the other side!
I seen the thumbnail and thought oh man she’s worked up about this one 😂😂
Hope you feel better soon Merphy!
Loving the flashbacks. Looking forward to the flashbacks for Kuma and Admirals. Which ones will make us cry?
Need a flashback scene of sentomaru, vegapunk, borsalino, and kuma together having lunch together or something lol
Kuma could put his memories and experiences into S-Bear, and be "reborn" that way
kuma might be acting on ordes given by vegapunk long ago, maybe by wish of kuma.
but the Conscience of kuma might be in the big robot now that you saw at the end.
maybe pink haired girl did something, because suddenly she wasnt angry at vegapunk anymore.
You should get a tiara and some sort of an orb to carry around to go with the cane!
I could be 100% wrong but its pretty sus that two characters from the sabaody trio became allies with only kizaru left
There's a lot of build up to destroy the bond of world gov and marines:
- the gov needs to go down at some point in the story, but the marines have to persist after this point so that Coby and pals get their dreams filled and take over the mantle as head of the marines,
- Sakazuki has been chaffing under the rules put on him, forcing him to stay in place for a while now,
- Kizaru having to go against those who he once considered friends must be eating him up inside, even if he doesn't show it outside,
- Even Doberman was very >.> at Saturn's lines about humans being insects,
- If the news comes out that Vegapunk was being killed on WG orders, there's going to be hell from the citizenry and oh look, Morgans has a line in,
- Garp has been captured/killed because he didn't have back-up from his fellow marines to save one of the marine heroes because the gov took control of the nearby bases and pushed them to Egghead instead - which is a big deal considering that Garp and Coby are both seen as heroes by the rest of the world and worth saving
- The CDs are being very unthankful that the Fleet Admiral, who has much better things to be doing, came to save their rotund asses
I could definitely see a lot of blame being thrown every which way if things to really wrong at Egghead - like, say, Garcia getting murked or kidnapped by a shapeshifting woman pretending to be a marine, or the island (and the assets the WG wants from it) being destroyed in the tussle between Emperor and Admiral, or the truth of Ohara and Lulusia and what used to be Enies Lobby being spilt... there's a lot of ways for things to go horribly, horribly wrong and cause a huge division between the two 'allies'
I didnt piece together the admiral parallels. Nice catch.
I think Kizaru is saying “please, keep me from killing him, but I can’t go easy on you”
You have a LOT more trust in Kizaru.
If Kizaru flips sides he'd be on the fast track to my fav characters list
If the Kuma thing happened a few days ago, maybe Kuma is on egghead and he's the one from chapters ago that was hiding on egghead that they called on the den den mushi and Kuma was hiding in the robot and his race is what powers the robot like 200 years ago. Lunarians have fire, maybe Kuma is a god valleyite and they have some form of other power. It was never confirmed stussy was the one on that phone call
When
@@royalfun1031 I don't remember the chapter number but when vegapunk called on the den den mushi for help and someone said they wouldn't want to be seen by the world government for helping him.
As a fellow rock climberI salute you and wish a good recovery 🤝
I rock a cane all the time, don't feel bad! Just rest and get healed!
I feel equally proud and disappointed that you are getting the names of the characters now.
I miss the nicknames. Poison poop guy and fake paw paws are my favorites. But at the same time I know the effort you put into getting the names so I'm happy nonetheless
