I need to pull out the one I cut the base on and play with it, also have a really nice one in the basement that needs a carb kit.. Great running saw there and love the color of these!, 👍👍
I knew it needed to be turned up. Add a little bit more breathing room on the pipe if you want a little more torque. My pipe is opened up quite a bit more, but I run 24 and 28 inch bars because I can't bend anymore, so I cut standing up. My 330 is faster with a shorter bar, but the old CV3400 pulls a longer bar much better between the two. You start cutting firewood with that CV3400, your gonna find out they are far more forgiving on vibration and ease of different angles. The handle is spot on for felling trees too, as I drop them exactly where I want them with that old saw. They are not the fastest saw, they are the most versatile and comfortable saws, with excellent reliability. Treat her right, and your grandchildren will be buckin wood with it in 50 years too.
Hey Smitty, I have one of those saws, she runs strong, the oil cap is not for long, I’m having trouble finding one. If anyone knows where I can find one let me know. Cool video!

The CV series oil cap is the same cap as the 2.2 - 2.5 Poulan and Craftsmans saws, those parts are everywhere. Hope that helps.
