These two episodes were an amazing finale. I mean, Kelly's death is still so hard, the actress was filming another pilot at the time this was being filmed but Greenwalt & Kouf actually preferred the way it turned out. Showing a close-up of Juliette's face, letting her reactions & emotions convey everything while listening to the fight, it was fascinating. Kelly was close to invincible, at least she had that presence, so I really feel like it made sense that she could only be killed by the betrayal of one she trusted implicitly. Monroe & Rosalee are the friends everyone should have. Adalind has always been a favorite of mine, I believe I said so on one of your reactions to season one. The actress's good looks don't even factor in, she's just so fun, fun evil just isn't done anymore, or done well, but Adalind nailed that. I'm interested to see how she develops. Juliette, wow, who would've thought that loving, supportive, caring, vet could become so hated. The writing of her character development was so awesome this season, her actions were understandable to a degree until she went off the deep end. And the acting, especially between Bitsie Tulloch & David Guintoli, lit the screen up when it came to animosity. Funny how that works, like the way so many comedians are depressed but onscreen you'd never guess, the camera seems to invert reality. I liked Nick & Juliette together but seeing them as enemies really made their chemistry onscreen fire up, despite them being married in real life, the anger & the pain was riveting & seemed so real. The actress Bitsie Tulloch was really hoping when she got this role that she would get to be badass, she certainly got a lot of action this season. Thanks for the double upload Dakara, you made dinner far more entertaining. This two-part finale was traumatic for the viewers, especially for you, I saw you tear up, I can't imagine what it was like for Nick. See you in season five, thanks for letting us see them back-to-back, it's truly appreciated, as is all the extra work I'm sure it entailed.

Whew that reaction did not disappoint! So excited to get into season 5. I still remember this finale and having to wait FOREVER to watch the next thru ...unconventional... means bc I didn't have cable and it was before NBC had anything on streaming services 😂 glad we both don't have to wait for the next episode this time

Re: The Royals/power dynamics - Victor was sent home by the King for being ineffective, basically a loss of power & status for him within the Family & Kenneth gets to prove why he's the important one. The King turns on Kenneth, I think it's down to control & fear of being replaced, if Kenneth star rises too high within the Family he might just have tried for the Throne himself, but with Diana... She's a young child, easily led (& used for her powers).
Re: the Series & the journey from season 1 - As you say, they've come so far & all the characters have had their time to shine & place in the show. I think the reason why it just gets keeps getting better is because they've always allowed for the characters to develop & grow across the seasons, in any other show Hank/Juliet/Wu would have been kept in the dark until at least season 6.

What an intense finale it was and the previous episode was intense as well. What happened to Kelly hurts me. Juliette went crazy because she couldn't control the Hexenbiest in her and on the other hand, Adalind joins and turns nicer.
I hope you enjoy the 5th season as did with this one.

Great season finale. But you're right, Nick's house now has awful memories. Both his mother and the woman he loved, died in that house. And now that Kenneth and the King are also dead, we're left with Nick dealing with what comes afterwards when things have calmed down and he now has to stop and finally deal with his emotions.
Nick also has to prepare himself to becoming a father in the worse time and co-parent with Adalind. That's ALOT to take in in such a short amount of time. I really feel for Nick. But I know his friends are gonna be there to support him and guide him along these tough times.
The good thing is that Diana is safe with Meisner. He protected her before she was born and will continue to do so.
    Cant wait for Season 5!

2 great reactions today to 2 great episodes from a great show.
A lot of shocking developments in this 2 episodes and more coming.
    In this episode
The hotel penthouse hosting The Royals is numbered 422. This is probably part of the episode-number running gag of the show, incorporating the episode numbers in the actual episodes, being episode 22 in season 4.

A great finally to a great season. Told you that would be many twist and turns coming. season 4 and season 5 are truly my favorite seasons. You are so right...Renard should have been part of this...he should have been told... maybe knowing that his daughter was in the hands of his evil father. would have woke him from the self-guilt and he could have helped a lot in the part of get Diana. Not the greatest thinking from the writer. But els a great finally.Uh yes Meisner is back and down with the king. I would never have through at we would get her...Trouble killing Juliette, no who would know this would happened...none...that is makes this show so shocking sometimes. There are in all 6 seasons of grimm. The last season is only 13 episodes long...so you are getting close to the end. But first you have another great season to go through...

Thank you so much for the double shot of Grimm with a twist of Hexenbeist. You give the best gifts and are my favorite reactor. Selfishly, I’d like to you to quickly get on with season 5 😉 but I’ll be patient. Hope you have a Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏻🎁

The thing I loved about this episode was Trouble protecting Nick, The way Trouble see's it she owes everything to Nick for showing her the way the world really is and changing her life, taking her in and looking out for her, she had never had that before she met Nick, and there is no way someone is going to hurt nick, not even Juliette. And like you said the writing in this show, just gets better and better!

Yeah, if you told me that in the beginning of this season that I would like Adalind and despise Juliette, I would’ve called you CRAZY! Lol. Watching this series with you brings back the emotions I had when I first saw the series as it was being broadcasted, and this is probably the 5th time I’ve seen it. Love your reactions

Fantastic reaction to a great couple of eps to close a great season... and the way it handled it's character flips has been excellent and you are correct that I've always found Adalind interesting, even when she was on the bad side but now that she's edging towards being "good" feels awesome to really like her.... Great stuff D as always and a couple of CTU's for you today, and keep em coming!

Truble returning, Nick's mom returning, and Juliet's storyline are garbage and make no sense. A Royal attempting to gain support coming after Adalind is far more interesting. He brings 24 loyal people with him to pull this off and do serious damage to Nick's team. T has been monitoring the Royal's personnel and is alerted to these people traveling to their city. After Nick and Adalind have left they take over the house across the street killing the people inside. Cars full of agents post themselves outside the places where Monroe, Nick, Sean, and Hank live. Nick asks if someone can pick up Adalind at her office so he can bring the trailer to the secure location. Juliet brings Adalind to Nick's house and stays with her waiting for Nick. 6 agents move in on the house. Juliet's awareness picks up on them and she orders Adalind to call the others and get in the closet. Juliet levitates kitchen knives around her as she waits for the agents as a Hexenbiest. 4 of the agents are killed by the knives and the other 2 are injected with the syringes they brought with them. Adalind and Juliet leave quickly and the Royal sends the remaining 2 agents after them in a car. Adalind called Monroe and he and Rosalie leave after calling Nick and Sean. Sean tells Hank and Wu. Adalind lets T know they are being pursued and Ariel takes off because she wants some fun. Juliet leads the agents through a narrow tunnel that Ariel caused to erupt into flames while the agents are in it. the Royal is furious about their escape and Nick's, Sean's, and Monroe's houses are burned. When none of them arrive at the Spice Shop the Royal orders everyone to return to the plane he had ready for them. Everyone arrives at the secure location and T and Ariel welcome them to their new home. The Royal currently in charge tells his head of security to interrogate each of those agents that are returning but to do no permanent damage to them. The Royal's Hexenbiest is using the pendant to try to locate Diane without success, but as she does so a shadowy figure appears in her mirror.
