It's very heartening seeing generation after generation come to hear and learn the music I listened to and watched live all those many years ago. Roadhouse Blues next, please. Also Mr Mojo Risin' is an anagram for Jim Morrison. Cheers....
Great reaction, you’re feeling the band’s musicality and Jim’s vocal, and you now know why we and your grandpa loved them. This song is from 1971 and about LA, the line "I see your hair is burnin' Hills are filled with fire" was about fires in the hills around LA which unfortunately haven’t gone away and currently are out of control. Jim was in the 27 club and are those rock stars who died in their 27th year along with Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendricks among others.
Their entire catalog is worth a listen. The first LP, Morrison Hotel, LA Woman, Soft Parade, Strange Days, all classics. They were the template for bands in their day. Morrison was the first rock god lead singer. Great reaction. ✌️❤️🎶
Great reaction Ric! LA Woman...natural progression from Riders - from the trippy to rocking! Others will undoubtedly mention, but 'Mr. Mojo Risin' is an anagram for Jim Morrison. The Doors could do so many styles extremely well...this was their bluesy side! HIGHLY recommend: The Crystal Ship, People Are Strange, Light My Fire, Peace Frog, Waiting For The Sun, Roadhouse Blues, When The Music's Over and definitely The End! There is a broad variety of sounds in what's listed there... Keep 'em coming! Cheers again from Canada, eh!
Sweet thank you so much for the suggestion and support! Also thanks for the information about Mr Mojo Risin and how it is meant as another way of spelling/arranging Jim’s name!
@@RidiculousRicGreat! Studio version please - off their album Strange Days. AND, do yourself a favor, and crank the volume for the full glorious 60’s vibe to come through!
Another great song which was a big hit which the Doors put out there for the radio airwaves was "Roadhouse Blues." It is FIRE!!! Just your type of music!!! You will Love it!!!
The Doors among other bands influenced Rock bands of the 90's even Jimmy Morrison's voice inspired low register vocals among lead singers in 90's bands along with John McKay of Steppenwolf. Those mussicians and singers felt the same way you are feeling about The Doors when they were growing up!
L'America has the greatest vocal entry in the history of rock, from the LA Woman album; End of the Night from the first album is a lesser known classic.
@RidiculousRic OK you won't be disappointed, except perhaps to realise the Doors were for once only, how the hell is anybody going to make music like that again?
In the song L.A. Woman by The Doors, L.A. Woman is a metaphor for the city of Los Angeles itself, personified as a seductive and alluring female figure, representing the city's vibrant, sometimes dangerous, and captivating qualities.
Hey brotheeer!!!! So nice of you to keep reactin to The Doors, really its the best band ever to live man, when you have listened to the best songs it would be pretty good if you check out the live recorded show, like the Europe tour on 1968
Look, son Most of us Dinos who request songs from Ancient Era of the 60's 70's & 80's have heard this song and many other through speakers, ear phones...lol....when the device came into existence.....Live performances with 12 foot speakers...I saw The Doors twice.....so, advised your peers to listened to songs with earphones. For me, nothing sounds like a vinyl! lol
jan van impe dreamy songs: crystal ship/end of the night/blue sunday/indian summer/Yes,the river knows heavy songs: who do you love/five to one/you make me real long, epic songs: the soft parade/when the music's over/the end catchy, popsongs: people are strange/Peace frog/love her madly/
It's interesting that you chose another song from their last album and commented on his voice. His voice is different for this album because years of drinking and weight gain put a strain on his vocal chords. But, no problem...lots more Doors awaits you.
@RidiculousRic it's actually "Riders on the Storm" hehe But, as for a song suggestion, I'm sure you're getting a lot. I'll do it like this... Bluesy - Roadhouse Blues (don't do live) Rock/Pop - Break on Through (1st song on 1st album) Psychedelic - The End
First album I ever bought with my own money, and it's still blowing my mind, five and a half decades later.
It’s currently blowing my mind all these years later, love that for you🙏🏼

Thank you, I am glad you enjoy the content and I’m thankful for your support! I definitely have the roadhouse blues on my list!

Morrison definitely embodies that Rock God ideology, his vocals and presence are unreal! I well definitely keep diving into this phenomenal band!:)

When The Music’s Over! 1967 Vox organ driven masterpiece, with Jim in full power mode in his younger years.
That's my favorite song from The Doors. So good.
I will definitely check this out:)

🎯 Mr. Mojo Risin’…is an anagram. The letters spell out his name!!! Jim Morrison!!!
I love that, super cool touch!
Then Jim became Rush Limbaugh .
In the song L.A. Woman by The Doors, L.A. Woman is a metaphor for the city of Los Angeles itself, personified as a seductive and alluring female figure, representing the city's vibrant, sometimes dangerous, and captivating qualities.
Oh man, that is unique, I love that! Thank you so much for that insight:)
